I do not recommend this store, Kauffman Institute of Wesley Chapel for eye procedures. If you are considering lasik surgery, perform your own research FIRST. Probably, like me, you have been wearing eye glasses for a long time and therefore have been visiting your eye doctor for years. Probably the only reason youre visiting this place is because your doctor does not perform lasik surgery. For some reason, when you enter this shop they want to treat you as if you were born that day. I am 49 years old and given my prescription, it is obvious that I must have an ophtalmic record. BEWARE of medical shops like this, that do not want to put their procedures in writing, other that than making you sign in an agreement to pay for such and such thing. The "free" consultation will not consist of any exam that will tell you whether you are a candidate or not. I had to visit the office for a third time in order to be informed about my eligibility for the lasik surgery. Even though I did go to this visit, I was highly inclined not to continue with the Kauffman Institute already. This, because I basically was forced to go to a third visit in order for the doctor to explain the results of a simple vision field test performed in the previous visit by a technician. For that visit the Kauffman Institute billed my health plan and I had to pay the copay that I usually pay to a specialist doctor. The front desk personnel did not provide a proper receipt for the second visit, I had to request it, and never received it. I got the impression that this office had a problem with providing information about procedures performed and cost, ongoing processes, in writing. Asked the front desk if the doctor would let me know about my eligibility for the surgery in my third visit, and the lady in the front desk indicated she was not allowed to provide that information. First, I do not recommend this place because I did not feel valued as a patient; rather felt like a client in a shop. If you want to try it, make ALL questions beforehand as if you were a ten year old. Ask the doctor to specify the different steps that they will follow after the "free consultation". Try to have them put this in writing...Perform your research first, so that you know what to ask. Last, among other things, once I indicated I needed copy of my records, the doctor wrote inaccurate remarks in it. Not good.

Awesome experience with the whole process. One of the keys is the people that help you with everything from filling out the paperwork through the surgery and finally the follow up. If you need cataract surgery I would not hesitate to contact The Kaufman Eye Institute. Dr. Kaufman has years of experience and it shows putting your mind at ease. I also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Lin and Dr. Parker as well. Dr. Lin checked my eyes prior to surgery making me feel comfortable that my eyes were healthy enough for the procedure. Dr. Parker completed my follow up after my first surgery, and answered all of my questions, also making me comfortable. After all you are having someone work on your eyes, make sure you have that level of comfortability. Contact them as soon as you can, you will be very happy that you did.

I had my annual eye exam last Friday in the Wesley Chapel office with Dr. Jon Kaufman. I really had a great experience! The staff was courteous and professional and the office is clean and has top of the line equipment. I was called to the back with only about a 10 minute wait time. The technician that did part of my exam was very friendly and knowledgeable. She cleaned all the equipment as soon as I came in the room, which I greatly appreciated. I have a thing about germs. After the technician did some testing the doctor came in. I found him to be very pleasant, friendly and I truly had the best complete eye exam I have ever had. I would definitely recommend coming here to all my family and friends

On my first appointment they made me wait 45 mins to see the Dr even after doing the paperwork in advance online. Then I got to see a nurse who was very pleasant and did some tests then sat ne in a waiting room where I waited another hour before seeing the Dr. She proceeds to tell me I need more tests and to come back in 3 weeks. The day of my second appointment I get stuck in traffic and running a bit late I call to let them know and they tell me they are to busy and will have to reschedule a month from now. Horrible, this was not a simple perscription issue. Its a potentially serious retinal issue and they really didnt care. Terrible office.

This is a report about my multiple experiences with the Kaufman Eye Institute with offices in Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills Florida. I spent over $700 on eyeglasses that are unwearable and Kaufman Eye center has offered me no resolve. They were extremely rude and insulting. They were unable to make my eye glass prescriptions correctly and refused to acknowledge third party analysis that confirmed this. Never have I experienced such incompetence and rudeness from an eye glass place. I do NOT recommend The Kaufman Eye Center for eye exams or eye wear. Extremely bad experience. I took an appointment with the receptionist based on her recommendation to see an optometrist for $109 and when i arrived to the appointment they said only the ophthalmologist is there and I need to pay $179 or come another day. I had taken time off from work and I wasnt going to be able to take another day off. They were extremely rude and blamed me for the situation and didnt take the responsibility. Very bad service and they obviously dont know the worth of retaining customers through good customer service. They just wanted the money regardless of anything else.

I had a routine eye exam here after recently switching eye doctors. One of my pet peeves about many doctors practices in general is their lack of sticking to the schedule; and having to wait long past my scheduled appointment time. During my visit to Kaufman Eye Institute of Wesley Chapel, they started my eye exam right on time. The staff was very friendly and most importantly, the doctor was extremely knowledgeable! I was also pleased with the technology they used and the nice office. Will definitely be going back for my next annual eye exam.

My experience with Kaufman Eye Institute has been and continues to be outstanding in every way. In particular Dr. Jonathan Kaufman has vigilantly ensured all avenues are comprehensively researched and executed in curing a corneal ulcer. He is dedicated and relentless in achieving the best outcome and I have experienced excellent progress. I would also like to add that Dr. Kaufman and the entire staff are always professional, personable and committed to excellent customer service! I highly recommend Kaufman Eye Institute to everyone!

I have been going to Kaufman Eye Institute for the past year and a half and I am very pleased with my overall eye care from Dr. Jon Kaufman and Dr. Selina Lin. I visit them regularly in their Wesley Chapel location. I recently moved over an hour away but I decided to stay with Kaufman Eye Institute because of the excellent service I get from them. I recommend all of my friends and family to them. The staff is very curteuous and the establishment is kept very clean and up to date with the latest technology.
