I heard about "UbreakIfix" from Google a few months back. I used the store in Miami Lakes because at the time that was the closest store to me. We had a great experience. This time when we had the need my husband called the South Miami store because it was closer to our house. My husband spoke to Alex. Alex gave him the price over the phone of $129.99 and said as long as we got there at 6:30pm they could fix it that day. My husband and I left our home at 5:45 and made the horrible drive down US1 with a screaming newborn that hates the car! I ended up running into the store and made it in by 6:30pm while my husband park and brought up the baby. I walked into the store and nobody was there. Someone from the back yelled to the front saying they would be right there. I waited for approximately 3 minutes. A young man approach me, did not welcome me to the store, did not greet me, did not introduce himself. He held out his hand and signaled for me to give him my phone. He grab the phone and said OK this will be $179.99 and I can not do it today. I said, "OK, lets back up a little bit." My husband spoke to Alex and Alex told him it was going to be $129.99 Instead of explaining the price difference he immediately got defensive and went to the back to speak to Alex. He came back and said no we cant do it for $129.99. I was very puzzled at this point and asked to speak to Alex. The sales clerk proceeded to help other people in line and I waited for Alex. Another 5 minutes rolled by and Alex came from the back. At this point my husband was in the store. Alex came out and told me why the phone was $179.99 instead of $129.99. The whole time the sales clerk was very defensive butting in the conversation saying, "see, I told you, see I will print out the price sheets." At this point we could not hear what Alex was saying because the sales clerk was so defensive and loud that I actually said to him, "Please shut your Napoleon little mouth, sir." As this was my only mistake on my end I should not have stooped to his level. My husband explained to Alex that this was a reasonable explanation and we wanted to proceed with the service. At no time time did Alex apologize for the mis-communication. We asked Alex to please proceed with the service. He then handed me back over to the sales clerk. The sales clerk said OK, well I cant do this for you now, it will be ready in the morning. I explained to him that when we spoke to Alex he said we could come tonight and he would take care of it. I told him under normal circumstances I would have no problem leaving my phone, however I was on call this evening and I could not leave my phone that is why we confirmed with Alex that if we came by that we would be taken care of tonight. Neither Alex nor the sales clerk offered an apology or the ability to help us tonight like Alex had promised over the phone. Alex asked us if we want to leave the phone and I said no I cant tonight. Alex then said, "OK we cant help you." The sales clerk then with a smirk on his face and in a sarcastic voice said bye. We immediately called the Miami Lakes store to get the corporate number to file a written complaint. I forgot who my husband talked to, but they apologized on the South Miami stores behalf and invited me in for a 10% service.

Multiple issues: I broke the glass face on my droid. Took it to the S Miami location. When I picked it up, the battery was dead and it would not hold a charge for more than a few minutes. My battery would last two days. It was switched! Proof is the battery number was not correct (compatible, but not specific to my phone). I complained and gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a mistake. I even spoke to one of the owners (one time) and the store manager. They denied the possibility of making a mistake, but they agreed to send me a new battery. The "new" battery they sent me was still the wrong number, and it was also a bad battery. (charge would last less than an hour). I left 2 messages for the owner, who did not return my call. I was defeated and I was dealing with it, until the next issue: Within a month, my phone started getting some kind of dust or something under the glass, thus causing it to malfunction. They honored their warranty and tried to fix it again. I went to pick it up, and it had the same problem, so I had to leave it there. Went back a few days later and it is still bad. I cant use that phone anymore and decided to give up and buy a new phone. Got same droid off craiglist for $100. Next time I break my phone, I will just buy a new one from the beginning and save my time and money and headaches. I had to drive there 5 times, from about 20 miles away = 200 miles / 17 gal/mile = (almost) 12 gallons of fuel x $3.50 (gas price) = $42 in fuel. $80 to fix; and then spent $100 for new phone off craiglist.

My phone is worse now than when I took it for repairs. They dont honor their warranty and their work and attitude stinks. Took my iPhone for repair of broken glass. They replaced the screen but it no longer responded to touch. This problem was intermittent but frequent and had never occurred before. I took it back to uBreakiFix but they said the problem was a software issue and not their fault and said their warranty doesnt cover software problems. A few days later, I noticed a very small crack at the bottom corner of the screen. When I asked them to replace the glass, they said their warranty didnt cover physical damage. The receipt says only parts they replace are covered by warranty. The crack is on the underside of the screen and has now spread across most of the screen. Phone is worse off now than when I took it in for repairs. I see they reply to bad reviews with an offer to help but Ill bet thats just for show to counter the bad reviews, which all sound very similar to my experience. Where there is smoke, theres fire. Dont waste your money or time with these guys. Go direct to Apple store for repairs. At least you can trust them.

So a word of caution about other reviews - this place offers $ 5.00 off for anyone who writes an "honest" review. This means you have to show them what you write before you get to keep your five dollars so take other reviews with a grain of salt. I did not get my five dollars. I brought my phone in (iPhone4) to have the glass replaced. It was very broken on both the front and backside. They said they could fix it, took my phone, and when I returned to pick it up after the 30 minutes (YES THIRTY minutes other reviewers - dont lie for 5 dollars!), the front was fixed but not the back. They said "you didnt say you did not want the back fixed." Its idiotic - there were literally pieces of glass still falling off my phone - a dangerous thing in a womans purse. AND they did not even have the part to fix the back unless I wanted to put a white back on my black phone. AND expensive - cost was $106 PLUS whatever I have to spend getting it done right. Screw this place - go elsewhere. I got quotes for both sides for $70 and it would have been brand new.
