This place is amazing and home to some real life super heroes. To begin with its a nerds paradise. They have a great variety of items that are unique and affordable. Now. let tell you about the service! My friends and I lost someone dear to us this month and his wife had asked me to organize a celebration of his life. I had the pleasure of meeting the store owner ( " Super Comic guy" as we called him) . He played a part in convincing our friends four year old that daddy really was a super hero and we were all his super hero friends. I was touched and moved by this sincere and thoughtful assistance that brought a child from her worst day ever to what she later told me was her favorite. This place is wonderful and has genuine workers who really do care about doing their part to save the world!

I love coming to this store. I really enjoy the art, on top of the merchandise. The whole store is an homage to comic lore and culture, with a strong appreciation for art. Its like a small museum. Thats how I feel when Im there. They even have local artists superhero inspired work presented in an actual gallery they made for the purpose! Whenever I go, I notice something new, like the "Batman the Animated Series" skyline (and more) on the wall above the comics. The owners put in a lot of thought and energy into it and it shows. Theyre also open to the community and an associate told me I could use the restaurant area in the back to just sit and draw for as long as I wanted (I draw a lot lol). Its not often that you get a museum/recreation/over-the-top-comic-bookstore all in one! Thanks guys!

When I heard about Gods and Monsters I was expecting a comic shop with a little more, though what I experienced was something far greater. My wallet would be challenged for the absolute breath taking array of pop culture goods sprawling over vast areas, gaming, movies, horror, anime, and the list goes on. The staff were very engaging and I felt as though my first time coming through the threshold of the shop doors, I was a regular patron. Truth be told I felt right at home. Refreshments were plenty and very affordable and the atmosphere was astonishing. Many murals and fine arts from local artists adorned the walls and every detail a feast for eyes. If youve heard the story of this shop then waste not and carry forth to experience the legend of Gods and Monsters.

I absolutely love this place. Its an hour ride from me with about fifteen other shops closer, but this place has it all. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, relaxed and accommodating. You can get lost in there for hours with all the cool memorabilia and things in general to look at. The "Off World" Lounge is an awesome place to sit back, relax and enjoy a cold one(alcohol or non). They have table top games you can rent and arcade games to play as well. Tables where you can bring your own cards to play as well. The music and movies they have playing too. Gah! This place is the best! I mean this place literally has it all. Thanks so much Gods & Monsters for creating such an awesome atmosphere for my friends, girlfriend and I!

Just discovered this place the other day waiting for a movie at Artegon and WOW is it awesome! Forget the comics, toys, posters, bar, gaming tables, board games and everything else cool they have...on top of all that, they have CLASSIC PINBALL machines and arcade games! These arent the arcade games where you have to load a card with $20 and drop a fortune to play either, these are 25c machines that take quarters! I had an absolute blast playing Hook, Street Fighter, Batman, and Flash Gordon pinball and then topped it off with some Area 51, and Jurassic Park shooting games. So cheap and SO much fun! Great place to hang out and kill time and will definitely make it a part of my weekly movie watching ritual.

Hands down the best nerd-style shop in Orlando. If you consider yourself a geek in any fashion, this is a must-see if you are in central Florida. Between the Transmetropolitan Gallery, the OffWorld Lounge, the insanely intricate decor (which is an easter egg hunt for ANY fan), and the very helpful staff, to the INSANE amount of collectibles, TPBs, art, figures, you name it... plus stuff you likely havent seen before. It really is a Geek Disneyworld. Its not just a store, it really is an experience. There is so much I havent even begun to describe, but I dont want to spoil the surprise! Do yourself a favor and check out this amazing new store, you wont regret it!

I walked into an oddity shop with my 1980s screen used blob dead hero scientist prop after not having any luck pawning it or selling it online because the era of props it comes from a lot of stuff is to be thrown out and is rescued or isnt foreseen to become a hot item so no paperwork is present. The shop itself wasnt quite the same type of oddity I was looking to donate but Gods and Monsters took it. Helped me out and gave me a piece of mind that it would be taken care of by someone who appreciated it. Definitely will visit. Thanks for letting it be somewhere that it may find a buyer/will be on display to appreciate. Love the pictures.

Stopped in on this place while on a road trip, looking for some boardgames. Sadly their boardgame selection wasnt the greatest but man is this a dang fine comic shop. Everything was super organized and it was clean and inviting. Was greeted promptly and even chatted a bit with the employee who was working. The wife also loved that it has its own little bar in the back that serves adult libations, mainly craft on tap it seemed. Would definitely love to come back at another time. Only reason I down rated was because it was a little hard to find and the photos online seem to mainly be from an old (much larger) location.

This place is stellar. Im much more of a gamer than comic guy, but this store goes above and beyond in many ways. First off, the store is huge, not like your typical hole-in-the-wall comic store. They have a small bar and concessions stand in the back, complete with tables and booths which you can enjoy their drinks at, maybe even while playing one of their many free-to-play tabletop games! Ive gone a few times with friends just to enjoy a game and a drink with friends. They also have a small gallery of nerdy/comic/gaming art which they seem to change regularly.

Best comicbook store I have ever been. Had everything I liked. DC comics, Star Wars, and beer. My parents enjoyed it a lot too. My dad was brought back by the Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers pinball machines. The bar was cool and served a variety of products vs. other bars. In addition, there is a lot of seating for people to hang out and enjoy themselves. I did not find their shelves empty at all when I went in. The staff is happy and helpful. This is a great sign they are managed well. Its good to see a place where people can go and enjoy themselves and nerd out.

Its a good looking place and they have lots of cool merchandise as well as a bar in the back. Unfortunately most of their merchandise is very overpriced. Even brand new, just released items are often marked way up. They also seem to get some items well after similar stores do. They also charge an insane percent to sell items on consignment, most places charge 20% they charge 40% which is likely why most of their more unique items are so expensive as the actual owner has to charge much more for it just to make its normal selling price back after they take 40%.
