The rental counter people generally suck. Also cant stand the vet database they want to make by getting SSNs from vets, means we cant get the discount because we wont submit that to them. However...we had the displeasure of going to Lowes...and followed by going to Home Depot and I gotta say, omfg, I love our Home Depot. Wonderful, friendly, warm greetings and offers for help and assistance all around. Nice guy at the paint counter. I didnt catch his name but an elderly gentleman offered me help when I was standing near the key maker and it was just fantastic, some small talk about our scimitar oops wood scrap, just great. Then Alex (iirc) overheard me noting a chunk missing from one of the strips of wood I got to my guy, my guy said it was oops wood, right, but it was missing the purple...Alex was like, sall good, totes oops wood, just mention my name if theres a problem. No, thats not how he actually said it but its close enough. All I remember is his accent and a faint, heavenly glow around him and his glorious beard. Oh yeah, and no one ever says to me whatevers there is what we have while gesturing at the ceiling or not making eye contact. The employees more often than not either know exactly where something is off the top of their head or can walk you to it quite quickly. I also did a big garden project last year and remember being helped by a woman who knew pretty much everything there was to know about gardening in Florida so that was great. Yeah, never going to Lowes ever again.

I called three times to speak to the tool rental department, each time, after being transferred the phone rang several times and I was disconnected or hung up on. I called a fourth time and asked if anyone was actually working in tool rental and explained that I had called three times before. She said yes, we have two people working in tool rental and she then attempted to transfer me again with no answer. She then said she would take a message for me and try to find someone to call me back. After waiting 20 minutes without them calling me back, I called again and spoke to a representative named Tammy. I asked Tammy to speak to a manager. I was then placed on hold, then Tammy came back and said the Manager, Bob, is busy with another customer, I said I would wait for him on hold. I was then disconnected or hung up on again. I called again and asked to speak to Bob the manager. I was then placed on hold. After waiting 15 minutes on hold waiting to speak to Bob, a representative came back and said that Bob just left for lunch. Evidently Bob is a piss poor manager who values lunch over assisting customers. I have never tried to do business with a Home Depot with such a poor level of service; I will take my business elsewhere.

Always short handed when it comes to loading. Special ordered doors, waited two months to get them after delivery dates changed six different times. Once the doors finally came in, I wanted two hours for them to pull the doors. And this is after I called ahead to have the pulled and ready 4 hours prior. Then, one of the Home Depot loaders broke the casing off then tried to give me the wrong trim in exchange. When I said that trim doesnt match, he said thats all he had. He then proceeded to give me a soda while I waited for management. The manager ended up giving me $80 for my time. Ive been more than patient about this issue and no one seems to care. I will drive to the Titusville Home Depot to avoid this store. FYI theres no loading area as its in a strip mall. This place really sucks.

Customer Service is usually pretty good. Only thing that upset me was one of the cart retrievers was Very unprofessional. He actually ran the orange carts into 2 different cars! The Toyota ended up with a dent in the rear quarter panel and the black Ram truck had orange marks in the passenger door with a small crease. Almost as the guy was blind or something? He was well over 400 pounds and the look in his eyes almost looked like he was retarded or something! When I confronted him he just had a Blank look and Grunted something. As he waddled away I noticed he had one arm that seemed shorted then the other? Maybe this isnt the right job for a obviously blind, seriously overweight "Special Person"? This guy is going to have a heart attack the way he was breathing so hard and sweating.

Everyone can have a bad experience from time to time. But, I have done many renovations over the past 5 years, with 100s of trips to this Home Depot. I have NEVER had a bad experience. Has it been busy at times, and I had to wait for help, sure. Was the staff always able to answer my questions, no, but they would find someone who would. Anytime there was an error on pricing, or an item that was incorrect, customer service was always VERY helpful. Pay attention to reviews like this, and not the ONE time someone went to the store, and had a bad experience. Lastly, another thing I have noticed, is their employees have been around for years. Very rarely do I go there, and not recognize most people working. Like going to your local tavern, where everyone knows your name.

Home depot is not what it use to be. I remember the days when you could not even walk down an aisle and every employee would stop and ask if you needed help. They would even walk you to the product you were looking for. I was in the other day and not one soul stopped and asked me if I needed help. Two big shot manager types just walked by. I was in the floor covering department and there were a group of employees having a laugh and an customer had to interrupt there fun and ask for help. Unfortunately for them, I am the type if you dont want my business Ill bring it else where.

Yesterday I visited the Merritt Island Home Depot and search for paint that would match an existing wall. The gentleman who helped me was unbelievably fantastic. He knew exactly what I needed, he got the paint exactly matched. I came home and I painted the wall and it is beyond my wildest expectations. I highly recommend the paint department at Home Depot. Additionally I was looking for a couple other items and the staff was so kind and helpful. My best visit ever to that store. Great job

I had the most awesome experience today. I came in looking to buy a ceiling fan for my kitchen. Turns out the fan I wanted was on sale at a Home Depot in another State! I was so disappointed. But with help from Sales Associate Toni and Customer Service Person Tammy they were able to find me the fan that I wanted & for a GREAT price! I was so THANKFUL to them. They really went the extra mile & I will Always recommend Home Depot Merritt Island, FL first!! M. Cook

I was at home Depot today at 1520hrs...got what i wanted then headed to the rental... there is a ding whenever someone gets in and out... the guy behind the desk was on the phone the whole time... never even acknowledged customers going in even with a gestuture or smile...we stood there waiting for him to get off the phone but nada... we just walked away... Sad that the other staff were kinder friendly but this guy ruined my day.
