DO NOT BE FOOLED BY GOOD REVIEWS LIKE I WAS. These people are the definition of used cars salesmen. Noell Caldwell is the biggest con-artist of them all. I bought what I had thought to be the car of my dreams which turned out to be the car experience of my nightmare. Noell told me how great of a deal I was getting and how this car was "extra clean". YEAH RIGHT....After going to a local car wash to clean my new car and paint started chipping off my rims....ALL 4 RIMS WERE SPRAY PAINTED. So I went to my local dealership to get a professional opinion. After getting a professional opinion from my local dealership, they reached the conclusion that the rims were definitely spray painted and pointed out to me the silver paint residue on the tires. Noell informed me when I bought the car that The Auto Port had put new tires on the car. They put new tires on the car but yet had no knowledge of the spray painted rims? How does identical paint from the rims get on new brand new tires Auto Port installed if they never painted the rims? ALL LIES.....LIES LIES LIES. Not only was he not willing to help or hear me out, he had the nerve to tell me he had nothing to do with it and hes is just the salesman. Stereotypical used car salesman, anything to get the deal done. How The Auto Port is still in business baffles me. I should have never trusted The Auto Port and Noell. I hope anyone considering buying a car from The Auto Port reads this before falling into their trap. I thought the price I was getting was to good to be true, and it turned out I was right. I am just PRAYING that this is all that is wrong with my car. Run far before you make the mistake of buying a car from The Auto Port. Save yourself the headache and hassle and go to a BBB accredited dealer before you are swindled, and it ends up costing you thousands.

BUYER BEWARE.....I purchased a 2002 Nissan Altima with 95000 miles from the Auto Port in June of 2014. I purchase older cars to use for commuting to work. This car seemed to be be ok, as the Car fax did not indicate any major problems in the past. 2 days after I purchased the car, I began having problems with the car overheating and misfiring on the cylinders, and the check engine lite came on as well. I brought the car back to Auto Port and they changed 2 coil packs for the spark plugs and said everything else was fine. Another 2 days went by and the car starting having the same problems again. Knowing that I bought an as is car, I brought it to my regular mechanic who informed me that I had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine for the car that would cost almost as much as I paid for the used car. I called the Auto Port and they said my mechanic was crazy and they had me tow it to their regular mechanic, who looked over the car and said I needed new spark plugs and a fan blower motor, that cost me $450.......another week later , the car has the same problems and now "their" mechanic says the head gasket is leaking and it will cost me $1460 to repair this. The Auto Port should have seen these problems and let me know that I was buying a juicy lemon instead of a Sliver Altima....I recommend that you STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE AUTO PORT OF LARGO, FL

I bought a 2004 Mazda3 hatchback from the AutoPort five years ago, Im only getting around to writing a review now because my dad is now looking into purchasing an Acura from them. I have to say that this was a totally pleasant experience from then up until now. To those that bought a car with mechanical issues (from any dealership), heres a suggestion, rather than blaming the dealer for buying what is clearly marked as an "as-is" car perhaps you should have a mechanic look over the car before you purchase a tens of thousands dollar investment! The salesmen had no problems with my trusted mechanic reviewing the vehicle and gave me three hours to have it. I was told that the motor-mount might need replacing in the not too distant future and otherwise it was mechanically sound. I have put 95k miles on this car, and literally besides replacing all three engine mounts, oil changes and tires I have done NOTHING mechanically to this car. I have even twice been able to return to the dealership and they agree to do a cash at-cost price for four tires with installation (with the expectation that you throw in 20-40 to pay for the guys to install them). Phenomenal car, service and experience.

Buying a car for my niece to start community college. I stood in the shop has the mechanic told me all the great things they replaced. Even a new rag top. I asked if he felt good about a 17 year old girl and this vehicle. Sure it’s awesome she will have no worries. Left the Auto Port on empty of course, no one puts gas in used cars anymore. Parked for the night. Next night waiting on her arrival I go to the gas station where I fill the tank. Gas starts running out the bottom. Total hazard for everyone at the pump! Drove it the .5 miles to the house parked it and called. Less than 24 hours later to be told it is “as is” and because I got such a great deal he could not help me. Trust me he got his $299.00 dealer fee!. Now I have a car that no one can drive, I have to two it to a shop because of the danger of it igniting on the road. Need to replace a rusted tank $467.67 but they said to prepare the rust may have cause much worse damage. Do not trust these people!!!!!!! Thank god she was not driving a car for it to go up in flames!!!!

If you going to purchase a used vehicle. Do it here! Let me explain. After going to dealer after dealer, we were exhausted by the constant extra fees, high prices, and time at each dealer. The Auto Port Inc. is a different experience. First, Their dealer fees are minimal in comparison to other dealers. They also dont overcharge for tag transfers. Their used vehicles are in good shape. I was able to test drive our Cadillac SRX multiple times and found not issues with anything. Another great point was that we could not find any other dealer even close to matching the prices we received on our vehicle. lastly, the whole process to complete the purchase was 20 minutes. So go ahead. Try and find another place with a better deal with a quality used vehicle. You wont. Ill save you the time, headache, and effort. Just purchase it here. As always, do your homework. check pricing, quality, and fees before doing any purchase. Thanks again Auto Port Inc.

I purchased a 2010 Honda Fit on February 8th. I flew into the local airport (St Pete/Clearwater Airport) and the dealership had a person waiting outside for me. The ride from the airport was short. Luckily, I had family in the area that checked the vehicle out beforehand, but it was everything described in the ad. When I got there they were cleaning it up and gave me time to check out the vehicle and all with no pressure. Paperwork was short and quick as well. From the time I got off the plane until I was driving away with the car was about 60 min or so. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from my initial phone conversations with Jim to doing the paperwork with Sarge, met the owner as well and very nice guy. I also saw first hand how busy the place was, my recommendation is if you see a car, act quickly. The ultimate question asked to me by family in the area was if I would buy again from there...Absolutely! Great experience.
