I have a lot of hobbies and I go between Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Joann Fabrics. Hobby Lobby has a lot of the supplies I need and I was recently told by a professional quilter that Hobby Lobby has better quality fabric than Joanns. I have to agree with another poster on here who said the employees are "bland". They are. I wont say this for all of the employees I have encountered and its mostly the cashiers. If they dont like their job then they need to find another one somewhere else. The cashiers I have encountered dont smile, they look either bored or disgruntled or both. The employees who work in the back seem to be a bit happier with their jobs. Less boring I guess. One of the things I dont like about Hobby Lobby is that they sell too many items that look old. So much of their products are of course reproductions and its quite obvious. I realize that people love this stuff but I dont and of course I dont have to buy it but theres way too much of it. They sell too much decor in my opinion. They should just stick to hobby supplies I mean after all, the first word in the name is "hobby" not "decor". Another thing I dont like is that they allow dogs in their store. I was just there the other day and saw a woman with a dog in the fabric section. I love dogs and have one but I would never take him into a store unless it is a pet store. People dont seem to understand that some people are allergic to dogs, some people are terrified of dogs and not only that, the woman who was cutting my fabric said that she has seen dogs poop on the floor and the owner didnt clean it up. Hobby Lobby, ban dogs from your stores.

I come here because its a fairly good hobby shop. I first saw one of these up in Washington, and when they moved into Kissimmee, I had to try it. I just bought supplies and took my god-son out to launch model rockets. I get lots of educational toys for him, and robots for him to build here. The only have enough to get you started though, because most of the floor space is taken up by home decorations. Once you get a hobby you really like, youre going to have to go online to get the more obscure parts. As for the home decorations, theyre also excellent in combining form and function. Most of my office is supplied by furniture found here. They do rustic well, and the variety is fairly decent. To be honest, the stores almost perfect if theyd just increase the size of the Hobby section, and maybe make it easier to find.

I always end up spending hours in this store. I go up and down the hallways searching for inspiration for a new project to get started on. I love all kinds of art forms and this place has everything I need. The reason I didnt give this location five stars is that I was in the fabric area and the staff were gathered around the cutting board table gossiping about customers that were annoying and how they didnt like some people they worked with. They were loud about their opinions and it made it awkward for me who was waiting for them to pause their trash talk to cut some fabric for me. Other than that, the shelves are always stocked with the most up to date material and they offer many discounts on cool home goods and crafts.

Love Hobby Lobby! On an average I am in this particular store at least 3-4 times a week getting ideas and buying home decor for craft projects & personal decorating items for my home & business. Prices are reasonable & there is plenty items to choose from; whether you want to upholster furniture, find fabric for making a garment, holiday or special occasion items, or indulge in a particular hobby like painting or jewelry making; there is no end to the possibilities! Conveniently located with wonderful customer service.

Been here a few times and to be honest its a nice place to go for nick nacks as well as hobbies. While this place has replaced most of my hobby need under one roof, Ive also found Ive been going back to get Ideas on new projects for my spare time. Every Time we have had a question they have been right there to help and bent over backwards to help.

This place has some of almost everything art/craft related for any level! From building supplies and tools to fabrics, canvases and specialty items. It is much larger inside than it would seem. Beware.. go with a plan and time. It has so much stuff you might feel like a kid in a candy store. Thats exactly what it is - An adult candy store.

Pretty well-stocked. One employee was very willing to assist us in finding something and another seemed like she couldnt possibly care less. Because of the uncaring employee, I removed one star (would have been 5 stars otherwise).
