We were sold a warranty at the time of purchase by Jay claiming it was a good way to extend the manufacturers warranty to 4 four years. She said it was a must when you are spending $9000 on your appliances to protect yourself. $709.00 the additional coverage cost, and I agreed to it under the understanding that it was a 4 year warranty after the manufactures warranty ran out. Well at 2 years old I had my first service call for a mechanical part that broke on the refrigerator. I call the guarantee company and told me my warranty is in effect and they dispatched a repair company call a & e service. The technician was here for all of 5 minutes and a made a quick adjustment and left. The next week the problem was still there. So it wasnt repaired properly. In the mean time I received a bill in the mail stating that the warranty company said the repair wasnt covered by the warranty. Now Im responsible for the repair cost. For the repair that wasnt done right in the first place. When I called the extended warranty company for an explanation I got a 20 minute explanation the what I bought was a service contract , not a warranty, that only covered certain items rather than a warranty. So basically the "service contract" only covers thing that never usually break, and not all the mechanical repairs are covered. So I was sold $709 of practically a useless service contract. Lesson learned here is dont take the salespersons word on anything be sure to read and understand your service contract and ask for a full copy before you purchase it. I talk to ED (nice guy) today at this Kissimmee Appliance direct store and he was going to try and contact someone that can help me or get a refund of the useless "Service Contract". I will update this review if he is at all able to do anything for me.

My wife and I (ok, mostly my wife) decided it was time to buy a new washer and dryer. What better way to spend a Fathers Day weekend... We decided to try Appliance Direct. If youve ever seen their commercials on TV you know that they are low-budget and generally crappy commercials, but still we drove across town to give them a try. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Bill. When he told him what we were looking for he took a few minutes to ask us some questions about our family and laundry needs as well as anything in particular we were looking for. Then he took us directly to his best deal... not the cheapest, not the most expensive, just what he thought was the best buy for the money for our family and laundry needs. Then came the best part... He OFFERED to check the competitors prices for us! I told him we were planning to check out Best Buy, Lowes, Home Deport and HH Gregg. He pulled up the website prices for every one of those competitors (and a couple more) and said that he would beat any of their prices! I told him that I would gladly let him do the price shopping for us and if he would beat the best price I would buy that day from him. I loved the thought of not having to haul around 2 kids under two to several stores and wasting my entire weekend... I ended up spending over $1600 with Bill... He was great and I will definitely go back next time I need to shop for new appliances, though I hope that wont be anytime soon.

Brilliant experience EVERY time. I have now bought four appliances from this store (dryer, washer, fridge and dishwasher), having been served by three different salesmen, all of whom were helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Our first experience sealed the deal for us, when we had to purchase a dryer for our home in Kissimmee while we were still in the UK. Appliance Direct helped us when the other two big guns refused to take our credit card as it did not have a US address. Ed could not do enough for us and make the process really easy. Rude??? Not in my experience, so dont be put off by previous reviews. Now that I am in the US permanently, this store is now my first stop shop for appliances. Their scratch and dent stuff is always worth a look too. Cant fault anything - price, service, delivery, installation ... all go without a hitch. And they ARE competitive on prices (this from a woman whose husband does tons of online research before going to a store!).

Horrible!!! I ordered online and that is where it went downhill quickly! I had surgery so I was not able to run around and shop so I looked at Appliance Direct online. Found what I wanted, great price, paid for it, called to confirm order, called to confirm delivery. Day of delivery....no call. Call a place that gave me the number of the driver, called driver and was told it was not on the truck! Call again and was transferred to the Kissimmee store that takes online orders. Online it was in stock! At the store it was not! Ummmmm, yes something fishy! Talked with the supervisor, and was told he would have it Friday to be delivered for Saturday. Mine you that I am without a washer for now several days recovering from surgery and I get this run around. Dont buy online!! Good deals are not always good deals. The ratings for this place is true! I am looking for another option! Do not order online with Appliance Direct!

The only reason they receive only 1 star is the Manager at this store is one of the worst in Central Florida! Our salesman was excellent, went through everything and scheduled a delivery for us with no problems. However the product was never delivered! When a call was placed to the store, Luis who identified his self as the manager was awful! His attitude was horrible and when asked why my invoice clearly stated the date of delivery he said that doesnt mean anything...it goes into some type of "drop box" and was not helpful at all. It is unfortunate that such a well run operation from its other associates that it would hire and place someone of this caliber in a position of "Manager"! Use Appliance Direct - but find a different store. Our savings was not worth the disrespect directed at paying customers let alone the waste of a full day waiting for a delivery that never appeared!.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Appliance Direct to replace an older Maytag. It seems to have a larger capacity, is not too noisy, and does a good job of cleaning the dishes. I kept my upper-rack basket from the old machine; since this did not have one. It was also lacking the side trim which covers up the space between the dishwasher and the cabinets. Too bad; since my dishwasher and cabinets are white, and the dark space is very obvious and unattractive. I wish it had a different kind of latch. I feel that "forcing" it open and shut, as opposed to having a moveable latch that can be released by hand, is going to wear it out faster. I do like that it doesnt have a digital display, which was a big problem on the old dishwasher.

I bought 4 appliances here and 2 of them were no good! We brought the GE Microwave home, installed it and the blower/vent fans did not work. It cost me to have it installed, then uninstalled and travel back to the store to get yet another one. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher, which they delivered, only to get it installed and learn after visiting the KitchenAid online website that half the parts are missing! It wont drain properly, there was no seal that came with the dishwasher, and more. Now what do I do? How do I get it out and return something that big? What a rip-off! Be very careful of what you buy from these folks or you could be dealing with numerous problems like Ive encountered!
