These Guys are the Original Jeweler at Haile plantation, Dont be fooled by the recent Jewelry Stores who are trying to ride the coattails of what Mike and Cynthia have built over the years. Mike is a Master jeweler who personally ran one of the largest design and repair shops in the country serving over 300 Jewelry stores Nationwide before going full retail 13 years ago in Haile. There is a reason Steve Spurrier, Billy Donovan, And Urban Meyer shop with them, Mike can do everything, A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America and one of the most trusted people I know. Mike and Cynthia carry the finest jewelry in Gainesville and will steer you right every time. EDIT: I have been contacted by the owner about this and we are working on a way to resolve. Raising my rating 1 to 5 in the mean time and I will update later with the final outcome. I am happy with the rapid response and feel ashamed that I did not contact them about this before writing a poor review. I received a locket from this jeweler. Initially, the bail was tinsel thin and damaged, so I returned to have it repaired. Now, after having the locket for a while the interior and hinge is becoming brittle and is turning green, like a piece of jewelry from a 25 cent vending machine. This is not the quality I would expect for the amount it cost. I am very disappointed.

We had a custom engagement and wedding ring made with The Village Jeweler several years ago (2006). We have since moved to another state and I needed it resized. It was made with a special metal that the jewelers around here refused to touch. I called Village Jeweler, expecting no help bc Im not in Florida anymore, and it was so long ago they probably wouldnt have the records. But they did! They looked up my record and were SO helpful to me!! They advised me of who to turn to here, and it worked! Im able to go in today to the local store to get it resized. Thank you so much for the continued customer service and support!

I have to say I was a little intimidated to shop in Haile Plantation. I thought it would be expensive,but to my suprise I felt very comfortable and amazed by the compitive and fair prices. The staff was warm and professional. They were quite knowledgeable on diamonds and bridal rings. My fiancee loves her ring! ** Loved seeing all the "Gator"& coaches memorabilia !!**

DO NOT take your jewelry to them. I took in a vintage ring given to me by my grandfather to have the stone replaced and a prong repaired. They replaced the head and ruined my ring! You can see photos of the before and after Posted on the reviews on their FB page. They are thieves!
