Great place, I love going there to visit the animals. But the last time I was there, I met with a rude worker for the first time. Theres a cockatoo there and shes been there for a few months now. Shes now out of the cage she was in and living on her open play station. I ALWAYS pet her when I go there. Which is every other week. And the workers never cared. But this last time, a short lady with brown hair came up to me and told me I wasnt allowed to pet her! I saw her go around and tell people not to pet any of the animals! The rabbits, ferrets, or birds! There was this one man working and told me not to worry about what she said and to just enjoy myself. But that lady is just plain rude!! It makes me not want to go there to visit the animals, and I absolutely love doing it. :(

Petland on Mary Esther is amazing. I bought a puffer fish and was educated on its upkeep, I came in and theyd test my water for free as well as recommend treatments when he was sick. All their animals are in open containers and are constantly played with, so when purchased are friendly. Its like a petting zoo of love over there. All their workers I have dealt with in the cat or fish department, or walking around for my daughter to explore have always been so knowledgeable (the most Ive ever seen) and helpful. They always try to get you exactly what your pet needs rather than sell you something costly that is not going to work for you. I have never been so impressed by a pet store in my life.

I adopted a kitten from there a month ago and now its dead.. I brought it home and something seemed slightly wrong with it and then it got very sick. I took it to the vet where I spent tons of money trying to figure out what was wrong with the little guy. The vet said that he was ill before I even purchased him and that she was writing a letter to get some compensation out of Petland for me. I didnt have him for long but I was really attached to the little guy, and having him die on me only a month after buying him was very emotional. Petland sold me a dying kitten.

Over Charged. I went into this pet store, Petland and paid $107 for a 25 lb bag of Higgins Premium Pet Food for my blue and gold macaw. I left with a huge hole in my wallet and hoping this food will last awhile. When going on Amazon I find that I can actually purchase this same item for $53 plus free shipping. If it wasnt for the seal broken on the bag, I would have had no problem returning it. It was definitely a learning experience. I try to support local business but when they actually violate you, purchasing online is becoming a lot more attractive.

My husband and I have been coming here for years for all of our many pet needs. We shop here for our snakes, fish, and dogs and are never displeased with the customer service nor the products we receive. My favorite thing about this location is that all of the employees have personal experience in dealing with different animals. So if I have a question about my aquarium setup, or what to do if one of my exotic pets is exhibiting strange behavior, there is always someone knowledgeable there to answer my question/s.

Petland Fort Walton Beach I bought $45 in fish for a 7 year well established aquarium. When I got home (a 15 minute drive) 1 of the plecostomus was already dead. This should have set off bells. Within a week all the fish in my tank were dead, not only the Petland but the 11 fish that have been with me for 5 to 7 years including a beautiful 8" Black Shark Cichlid. I am so disgusted with Petland that I wanted to warn everyone that the kids running the store have no clue what they are doing.

I took my wife and 3 year old son to pick out some fish to add to our fish tank and to my surprise we all lit up like little kids overwhelmed with excitement to see all of the live animals; birds, bunnies, hamsters, fish, saltwater fish and living coral! It was amazing. We ended up leaving with 5 fish and 2 hamsters. We felt like we had a personal guide, GA! Shout out to the knowledgeable man who helped my family pick out our new family members. It was a wonderful experience!

I absolutely love their dog food program where you buy 10 bags and get 1 free. It periodically saves me over 50 dollars. I also love how helpful and polite their employees are. They always ask if I need assistance when I arrive and again when I leave (to carry out the bag of food). I appreciated this greatly when I was pregnant. They are very knowledgeable and have helped me out a lot.

I went there to get a pet for my birthday and i fell in love with one of the guinea pigs. Before i went here i had no idea about guinea pigs i knew nothing at all. The staff gave me lots of information about caring, maintaining, and some very useful information. I got my first guinea pig there and loved them so much i had to get another. They take really good care of the animals.

I have been using this his pet store ever since I was a child. They are always so friendly and willing to go out of there way to help. Everytime I go I have to see the ferrets and bunnies and they always let you play with them! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. They have so many options and are very friendly.

We have been in every week for the last 3 years purchasing for both our pup, and snake.. and they have NEVER disappointed us ! Ive always had a good experience shopping here. Its clean and the animals look well cared for. I just wish they had more products for small animals! Theyre better then everywhere else in half an hour drive though. For anyone with puppy mill concerns, as of a month or so ago they no longer sell puppies.

The best part about this store is how much they support our local law enforcement, yall will always have my families business!
