My husband and I are moderately new to the area and I was looking to get some high quality work done for my husband as a gift. After researching every tattoo artist within a 60 mile radius we decided to go with Freddie. My husband had a basic idea of what he wanted but Freddie took it and ran with it, turning it into a beautiful piece of original art on my husbands forearm. Freddie worked with us on pricing and my husband and I both agree that the price we paid was well worth the quality of work we received. Freddie was so kind and down to earth. Actually the entire staff was extremely accommodating. For that the 8 hours that we were there, they continuously maintained our comfort. I actually look forward to going back for his next session. If you want a cheap, quick tattoo, dont go here. Freddie is very meticulous and detail oriented. His talent well exceeds tattooing. Neither my husband nor myself could think of one negative thing to say about these guys. They immediately became family. Im so happy we found them.

Almost got tattooed here. We were very excited about coming back, we all got tattoos and piercings in March. My artist was Will and we were told last week when we came in that he moved to North Carolina. While we were trying to figure out who to get tattooed by we stepped outside to smoke, the employees standing outside told us that they werent allowed to tell where our artist had gone because they would get fired. They eventually told us and when I went back inside to let them know we wouldnt be staying the other guy starting raising his voice and saying that we didnt know anything about the price of a good tattoo, he then dropped the price he had originally quoted us down to $250 from the $500. I dont know what is going on here but the entire visit was uncomfortable. Our artist Will only moved across the bridge to another local shop in Fort Walton Beach. We left with these people basically chasing out into the parking lot trying to get us back inside.

Island Ink is a gem. This was my second visit to the shop without an appointment and surprising enough both times I didnt have to wait a long time. The customer service here is great. The first time I came back in July 16 I was so afraid as it was my first time getting a tattoo. But Freddie was so awesome he eased my fear and let me know step by step what he was doing. And he did such a great job the first time I promised him when I come back for vacation again I will see him for my second tattoo. So last week I went in same great customer service and I requested Freddie again and once again he did not disappoint I Love my tattoo. He is such a great person, who is very talented at his job (and is very handsome!) If you are in the area ask for Freddie he is the BEST!! And also Sheila is wonderful too. Island Ink rocks!!!

Went to many tattoo shops in town looking at different artists work. Im very picky about line work and quality since I have drawn all my life and know when something looks sloppy. Have been stationed here for 8 years and still havent got a tattoo locally. After visiting 3 other shops on a Sunday and not satisfied with artists or appt times I stopped in and talked to Freddie at island ink and told him what I wanted and the type of font I wanted. The font doesnt exist so he had to make up the letters that were not given to him and made quick work of it. He had a cancellation drew it out and had my ribs getting tatted within a half hour, 3 hours later I couldnt be happier. Awesome work from a excellent artist. Highly recommended shop and artist.

I have gotten my past two tattoos there. First one was last year and the other last night. They took the time to ask you what you wanted and what size. They also made sure you liked the design before getting it done. The walls as you came in were covered in tattoo designs and would do any tattoo you wanted off the internet or your own design. The shop was extremely clean and they laid out and put together all the equipment in front of you and it was extremely sterile. The staff was super friendly and they did everything with a positive attitude and smile. I have had two different artists and both did an amazing job. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get a tattoo definitely will not be disappointed.

Yo goldo nice work bro. You did my first tattoo and everyone I know compliments the tattoo. Much love my guy... Man words cant explain how happy I am bout my tattoo Goldo did his thing took my idea and made it 100x better on top of that he finished my tattoo in 1 hr and 45min... i waired 3yrs to get this tattoo and im glad I did def got something that I am very proud to have on my body for the rest of my life which is more than I could have asked for... The guys at Island Ink are charming, super friendly, and personable. Jackie is an AMAZING piercer! Took time to answer all my question, picked the right size jewelry for my septum, and took his time with the actual piercing. Will defiantly be back for another piercing, and perhaps a new tattoo! UPDATE 6/18/13 : Arrived looking like I got my ankles tattooed in prison, left with BADASS shiny new ankle tats!!! Iv been hiding my hacked up ankle tats for over a month, VIVA LA SHORTS! Will, you rock socks, and I cant wait to come in and start my sleeve!!! WILL YOU EFFFFFFFINNG ROCK!!!!!!

Got my tongue pierced here and it was very off centered and crooked angled to the left and was no where near the spot where it was marked on my tongue, had to take it out the next day, very disappointed and was a waste of 40$, definitely felt as if I was scammed, dont go here for tongue piercings especially seeing how someone else in the reviews had the same problem I had. Luckily I havent experienced any nerve damage or anything else serious but regardless its very unprofessional considering how risky tongue piercings can be if not done properly so be wary of this place!!!

After searching for many months for the perfect place to get my tattoo done since it was a special design that a lot of artist elsewhere couldnt do the artist in Island Ink sketched it and tattooed it on me perfectly just like I imagined it on my head as he took the design straight out of my head and put it on my skin using the few details I could provide him with. and at the same time my wife got her belly and nipple pierced thank you guys at Island Ink for being so Professional and courteous will definitely come back there for all my other needs.

Island Ink was an awesome experience. I got a simple piercing, my tragus, and they were really friendly, humorous, and laid back. They asked all the right questions but didnt make me feel intimidated at all. My previous experiences going into tattoo shops, I always feel a little inferior to the employees there. This was definitely not the case at Island Ink; its a very comfortable place. Their shop was incredibly clean and modern, and their tattoo art on the wall was amazing. My first tattoo will definitely be at Island Ink!
