Just had the worse GameStop experience ever. Big fan of the franchise, pro member and all. Called because I was looking for a certain gift for my wife of which I only had the name. The rep I talked to was awesome and was able to put the item on hold for me. Arrived to a chaotic mess of a store. Very unorganized, and after spending just a few seconds in the doorway I realized I didnt want to shop around but just get my item and leave. If only that easy. I went over to the counter and was politely told the line started just a few feet away. Went to the designated spot and stood for my turn. Then I got to watch as the only rep available (the only other rep was helping customers with what looked like a large purchase and was very occupied) started to take customers off to the side of the counter, where I had just been standing! After the third occurrence I interrupted and let the rep know I had been standing literally on a sign that says "line starts here" the rep then took me with no apology or recognition of how I had been clearly standing feet away in line for the last 15 minutes. I then let the rep know that I had called to place an item on hold and the name of which it was under. This seemed to confuse the rep because he repeatedly asked what item is that and what does it look like? Obviously not knowing his own inventory. The item had been placed feet behind him with a note that had my name written on it. So after solving that mystery the rep then tried to check me out but was unable to locate a barcode so he does (I guess) the next logical thing and does a search on his computer for the item. Of course he selects the wrong one and I see a price more than triple what I was told on the phone. I mention this to him and he then laughs and says "oh it must be this one then." Somehow clearly not seeing how I did not think it was funny that I almost paid triple of what I was supposed to. Left the store almost forgetting to get the receipt because I just needed to leave this place GameStop for what I hope will be the final time I must go there. Yep, sticking to the Market Square location from now on!
