What seemed like to be a good experience quickly took a turn for the worse. On 11/16 at approx 9am I spoke to the service dept and asked them about a service recall campaign on my car. The service rep said no problem bring it in and they will take care of it. I asked how long and he said it would be done the same day. I was ecstatic. I brought it in an hour later. Smoother transaction then I thought it would be. Give my keys up, a little info and walked away. Waited for the day. Asked for an update at 5:06. Received a call a few minutes later. Service Rep said it wasnt done and that they were not sure that the campaign had been done or not at this point. Now I was under the impression that one could just access the information with your VIN # and save ourselves hours of trouble. I asked for him to elaborate on why they do not know if it has been done or not and he said that it will just take some time. I left it at that and asked for a follow up time for the next day. He said 10am. Promptly in the morning I received a call at 10 telling me the car needed a Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. I asked how much it would be and I was quoted $1000 but with a classic car discount it brings it to $700 and some change. I understand that there is always a mark up at the dealership and I would be fully willing to pay a fair price for the work to be done, but there is a huge premium here for a part that literally sits right on top of the engine and is the matter of 3 bolts to be unscrewed and re-screwed. I arrived to speak with my service rep and explained that the shop manual calls for 90 minutes to do the job and I dont understand how it can be so much. Even 90 minutes is a long time for the job. The SR spoke to me as if I had no understanding of cars (Ive done motor swaps and transmission on many of cars.) and told me that a lot of stuff has to be removed to access the MAF. I explained that the MAF is literally on top of the motor and has 3 bolts to be undone, unclip the wire harness and do the reverse for install. He said no and Mercedes says 3 hours for the job in somewhat of a condescending and short fused fashion. I decided that I will no longer continue the conversation as it is clear that he has no idea what he is talking about and that before I get upset its best to just let it go and not allow the dealership to waste any more of my time. On top of this, he stated that the campaign had already been completed prior. Really? It took you a day and a half to tell me this? I made it clear I was simply here for the campaign work to be done. Next SR wanted to charge me for a diagnoses fee. Ive only come for the campaign work and if it had been done, why not just tell me so I can take it to my mechanic. I explained that I was here for the campaign work and that I am going elsewhere for the other work since it is extremely overpriced. Update 11/23/15- After taking it to a shop and having a real diagnostic ran, turns out the timing jumped and needs new timing chain along with guides which is currently being done. I wonder how much money Mercedes of Daytona would have tried to suck out of me before they would have figured out what the real problem was.

5 Star Service across the board! I have been looking to purchase a car for the past few months and recently made my final decision to go with a Mercedes Benz! I am so thrilled with my decision and am extremely happy with my new C250 Sport! The entire team I worked with at Mercedes Benz of Daytona Beach were superb and made my car buying experience fantastic! At first, I was not sure if I wanted to go with a Certified Pre-Owned or new vehicle so I worked with several employees along the way. The four gentlemen I worked with throughout my car buying process were Bobby Martin, TL Kays, Billy Smith and Andrei Thacker. All of them were extremely helpful and really went out of their way to please. When I was looking at the CPO Mercedes I worked with Bobby who took the time to go over all the options available to me. When I mentioned that I was not sure whether I wanted to go with a CPO or new vehicle, Bobby introduced me to TL. I had a lot of questions and TL was very patient and throughly answered everything and made sure I fully understood every aspect of the car buying process. He made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to go with a new Mercedes Benz. Billy also helped me realize that owning a new Mercedes Benz was easier than I had expected. He went through several options and scenarios which helped me solidify my decision and move forward with my purchase. Once I decided on the exact vehicle I wanted, Andrei in the Finance department helped me to get the final monthly price in my desired price range. Financing was easy, quick and essentially painless. Upon delivery, TL really took the time to show me how to fully utilize my new Mercedes from front to back and everything in between. I have owned several vehicles and never have I experienced such great service and worked with such caring people until now! This is my first Mercedes Benz, and I know it will not be my last...I am now part of an amazing family!!! After everything, I would recommend Mercedes Benz of Daytona Beach to all my friends and family! Great dealership and great employees!

I have bought many cars in my life, from Jaguars to BMWs, this would be my first Mercedes purchase. I have to say the experience I received from my salesman "Frank" was over and beyond, what I would ever exspect from a salesman. You can tell that he loves his job and the cars he sales. He was not pushy, he allowed for me to ask the questions and had all my answers. Because of "Frank" I WILL be a long term customer and I will send everyone I know to see him, even if they are not in the market for a Mercedes. Because I am sure he will be able to help them with any of their needs. 5+ star to "Frank". Although, Frank was the person I spent most of my time with, I cant leave out the gentlemen that close the paper work on the car. I am sorry I dont remember his name. But I will always remember his face. I have to say that he, as well, went over and beyond my expectations too. We were going to close the deal with one bank at first. But he want to check on another one really quick. In doing so he was able to save me even more money. The bank that he wanted to check on really quick had a percentage rate that was actually lower than the great rate he had already gotten us. So, 5+ stars to him too! Best of all, it only took less than 45 minutes to sign the deal and close all paperwork, doing all of this while eating "ice cream" that was provided by Mercedes. How would they known I LOVE!! Ice cream? How awesome is that!! 5+++ star to Mercedes-Benz of Daytona Beach!! Thank you for everything and thank you making my husband Christmas present and New Year so Perfect!
