Just left Home Depot in Crystal River about an hour ago. First of all, received very good service from several employees throughout the store - from lumber to the garden area. But, trying to leave is a completely different story. While my husband was checking out I brought the car to the porte-cochere. There was an elderly gentleman in front of me in a big Lincoln Town Car offloading a giant box to return. I pulled behind him, got out of my car and opened my trunk. While I was waiting, an employee came to me and asked me something along the lines of "what are you doing here". I told him that my husband was checking out and I was waiting on him. I then asked him if he had a problem with my car being there. He replied no, but that he needed to keep the traffic moving along. Finally, my husband came out - he was delayed because the plywood was marked with an incorrect price and he had to wait on that. Once we started loading the car with our over $100 in purchases, the same employee came back, peeked at our items, then mumbled something about not needing a flag. Never one time did he ask us if he could help us. There is always an issue in that store. From the employees that scatter when you make eye contact to the ones that outright ignore you. To mis-marked prices and now being hassled as you are trying to pull away with your purchases. The best part of this whole fiasco was the employee that was so intent on keeping traffic moving under the porte-cochere as we were pulling away was standing off to the side looking up at the sun. Management needs to remind their employees that in this economy there are a lot of people who are hardworking that want and need jobs. They need to weed out these rude, lazy employees and find the ones that will help the bottom line for their business.

They are always out of or do not stock what you need, Even when calling ahead of time Im either told that they do not have an item or that they do have it. The problem? Its usually the opposite. The latest example: I needed a new Ryobi led lamp. After finding the item on their website I called tools only to have they guy tell me they dont have it. I found that strange as every Depot usually has it, I offered the sku number and was told "Ive worked in the tools department for years and we do not stock it!". Well the very next day I needed some items and checked when I visited the store and yes they had it. Too late for me as I ordered it online paying an extra $6 for shipping. I WAS PISSED! Another example: Needed several sheets of cut plywood, associate failed to tell me that the saw was down for repairs! I told them I had to travel 25 miles each way to get to the store and wanted to make sure there was no issues, they forgot about the broken saw. Another wasted trip, a couple of hours and a few gallons of gas. O-well, that doesnt affect them.

Boy what a shocker! I have recently bought a weekend place in Crystal River, but my permanent home is in Gainesville. We have pretty good customer service in Gainesville. They need severe training on customer service EVERYONE IN THE STORE. There was a woman in the key department and 2 guys in the paint department that were friendly and helpful. However everyone else we encountered was not friendly, was a vendor and couldnt help, or employees doing other things in the store closing off aisles to move product. This should be done primarily at night when the store is closed, not during busy day time shopping times. Steve in the contractor loading area has NO PERSONALITY AND DOESNT SMILE OR ACKNOWLEDGE customers. But he did refuse a tip saying it was against company policy. You are a very busy store for the area so I am surprised that management doesnt work harder on customer service. Get it together!

Worst Home Depot Ive ever been in. Asked an associate about a flooring question. He didnt know but called someone from flooring. Waited 15 minutes and no one showed. Asked a different associate. She took us to an aisle but it wasnt there. Then she sent us to the other side of the store but still the product (stone cleaner) wasnt there. Asked another associated. He sent us to two different aisles all the way at the other end of the store. Finally asked customer service. They didnt know. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager never came but they sent another associate who rudely pulled up the website where it said this product wasnt available in the store. Said to order it online and pay the shipping. So after an 1:15 in the store and an hour round trip I came home and went to Lowes website and ordered it out of spite. Ill never go back to Home Depot again!

This is an experience I had last yr when I visited home depot I was in work clothes and had just purchased some when walking back to the pro desk entrance I was stopped and searched by a white older definitely southern heavy lady for no reason other then I am very tan. I spent a fortune in home depots for yrs and have a huge credit limit with them for personal use. I was so insulted and to top it off I notified the store manager and the corporate head quarters abit this and they offered me a 100 dollar bill. Which I did not take because thats even more insulting . Now I take my business to lowes and rural king who by the way have better product line at better prices and employees are trained to leave theor white supremacist ways at home. It still bothers me big time.

If I could give no stars, I would. We were flooded during the hurricane in September. Our major appliances were ruined. We purchased over 3 thousand dollars of new appliances from HD in Crystal River. They were delivered on November 22, 2016. We did not occupy the home until the end of December. Our GE Refrigerator is a mess. I tried to get HD to take it back. They said I had 48 hours from the date of delivery to return any damaged or defective appliances. GE repair said the freezer door is bad and ordered a new door. I will now have a "new/used" refrigerator. Lowes policy (I found out later to my sorrow) is 30 days of use. Dont make my mistake folks-do NOT buy from HD.

I just had a wonderful experience at the Crystal River Home Depot that I wish to share. Most people are quick to complain about store employees, but I wish to compliment two very helpful and courteous individuals that work in the lawn/garden area of the store. Thanks for your kindness and care....Deb B. and LaMar. Shopping there was such a pleasure! Sincerely, Janie H. 9/14/17 Just had another positive experience at this store today with the head cashier, Terri, and the assistant manager, Mike. Both were extremely accommodating and courteous! As a frequent customer, I appreciate their attentiveness and understanding! Thanks so much, Janie H.

On Friday the 02/10/2017 at 5:30 pm I had a Coupon for a 10 % discount. To make it most effective to my budget I purchased Plants and Planter mix for around $120.00. Some of the items where kinda heavy for me to handle, I am a 78 years young retired senior. I asked the cashier to get me some help loading my Car. He was very helpful and nice. **But the Help I got, the men was moving in slow motion and had a very bad attitude towards me. I ended up loading the purchased items myself. Help with an attitude should not be working with the public. Rob Smith, Customer
