I have an existing bias of the quintessential donut shop in my mind so its tough to find a place that reaches my standard. Concerning the delight of the store, overall I was satisfied but I found nothing special about the donuts. They were good nonetheless, precisely because they were donuts. Additionally, when I first walked in, there were two women taking orders and when my turn came, the one looked at me and turned to go apparently do something in the back without issuing a courtesy comment of why she would not take my order then. I was left to wait until the next lady could take my order, which went fine except for when she returned $2 in change for a $10 bill over a $3 order. We got that fixed but I walked to my table, donut in hand, feeling rushed and unwelcomed.

Sat at the counter which was apparently a mistake as they are more interested in serving the hordes of people coming in to the counter. The breakfast sandwich was good(although microwaved) however, after waiting 25 minutes while they served about 40 people who walked in to the counter, we gave up and went for donuts elsewhere. This was after the server looked at us NUMEROUS times and we even waved at her to let her know we wanted to order more and even told her that we were also getting donuts when we first ordered. It seemed to us that its more important to get the money from walk-ins than it is to provide quality customer service to those who choose to dine in at their establishment....very sad because we were very excited to try their donuts.

Very disappointed. I called and they dont answer the phone they want you to leave a message. I drove down there to get some biscuits and gravy which you would think any normal breakfast place would have and they do not have biscuits and gravy. Total wasted trip because they cant answer the telephone. They werent that busy so I dont see any excuse for not answering the telephone.

Picked up 2 dozen donuts this morning. I was going to take a picture of how delicious they looked so I could gloat online. I left them for like 2 seconds at work so I could go get my camera. They were gone when I went back in the break room. Too good to let sit. Youve been warned. I highly recommend the boston cremes.

Very disappointed. All reviews said this place was great . ..it was not. First time, Saturday morning... Donuts were hard and stale. Customer service was lacking. Two stars was because breakfast sandwiches were pretty good. Make the drive to Elite Donuts in Ruskin ...total opposite experience.

Great little donut shop. If you want a flavor filled donut experience, stop here. The apple fritter is the best. Other favorites at our house are their blueberry, sour cream, angel, and cherry donuts. The line gets long sometimes but they get through it in reasonable time. Worth the wait.

Im from Texas where we had donut shops like this everywhere. Very very hard to come by in Florida! Only dunkin everywhere. These donuts are fresh, large and taste great. Always have to stop in when I, passing through Bradenton. Theres usually a line, but thats just because its good!

Recently moved down to this area and craving really good yeast doughnuts...Not soaked in grease...And found them here!!! Only tried the glazed, but they are so yummy and want to try the cinnamon rolls next....They were HUGE!!! A great Sunday morning place to grab some doughnuts!

I drove from Lakewood Ranch to go there. Was hoping for glazed donuts, so fresh, that they would melt in your mouth. The donuts were extremely dry. I wondered if they were made the day before. I probably wont go there again. The server wasnt very friendly either.

One of Bradentons standbys. Vintage diner feel with attentive and sweet staff, a great group of retirees to chat with almost daily, and great donuts. We love the apple fritter & glazed the most! Parking can sometimes be problematic, but its worth the wait every time.

It doesnt get better than this. Just go get yourself a donut and some coffee. Be prepared to wait in line but expect speedy service. Its too good to NOT be crowded here, but the wait will be worth it! Of note: German chocolate donut, honeydew donut.
