First rate people and operation. We were in town from the Philadelphia area for a family wedding and unfortunately, we found out while making the trip that our Honda Odyssey’s radiator was leaking. The temperature gauge started to climb, which is highly unusual for the car, so we immediately stopped at a service station along the way in New York. We were told “eh, it’s a slow leak…here’s a few gallons of anti-freeze, just don’t push it, and run the heat…maybe keep the radiator cap ½ tight, and you’ll probably be OK.” When we got to my Aunt/Uncles house nearby at 1:30PM, the anti-freeze was nearly completely gone from the radiator overflow; which was just filled up 30-minutes prior. My Uncle said without a second’s hesitation, “get it to Wilton Tire & Auto…they’re the best around and you can trust them.” We did just that. I called your shop and spoke to Don at 2:00PM, and he said bring it right in. I immediately met Don and Drew, and knew we were in good hands. They were honest, and told me the radiator needed to be pressure-tested, but most likely would need to be replaced. The test confirmed it, and they showed me exactly where the leak was. I made a big ask of getting this fixed in one day as I would not be able to get back to Wilton, CT until the following weekend if the car had to stay. Not having a way home, or having to rent a car for a week, and/or the overall headache would have been a nightmare personally and professionally for me. Don and Drew pulled off a miracle, and we cannot thank them enough. They got us in and out in 24-hours, and could not have been more professional, polite, well-spoken, and upfront. You truly have a first rate operation—which lived up to its recommendation—and we will do whatever is most helpful to your operation and Don/Drew. Please take care of these guys.

Unfortunately my experience with this business has been less than positive. I broke down on route 7 and had no choice but to pull over for what I thought was a new muffler. According to Wilton Auto and Tire I needed a new catalytic among other things for $1,284. A few days later they called to tell me that I needed an oxygen sensor for an additional $475. I picked up the car the day before yesterday and still had the "motorcycle" sound affect. They said the noise wasnt there the day before but they would fix it. Picked up the car today to find that the engine light was on. When my boyfriend called to inquire they said the engine light wasnt on before, meaning an hour earlier. They have washed their hands of this. Tomorrow I will bring the car to a mechanic in my town to see why the engine light is on. My research points to a faulty oxygen sensor they replaced. Hopefully the diagnostic test will tell me tomorrow. The car service and knowledge is not at Wilton Auto and Tire, sorry to say. A week later and close to $2k my car isnt fixed yet, very disappointing.

These guys did a great job. I came in on a weekday morning with a flat tire hoping they could repair it quickly while I waited. They noticed that the sidewall was damaged so I would need new tires. He asked if the flat tire was driven on. Indeed someone in our family, who shall remain nameless (not me), had driven on it. He also showed me that the tire treads were worn down to the indicators and, since its an all-wheel drive, he recommended replacing all 4 tires. He helped me pick out some decent tires and quickly got one of his guys to drive me to Wilton station so I could catch the next train to work. They finished the same day and called my home number. My wife answered and they arranged to pick her up at home and drive her to the shop so she could pick up the car. Normally Id feel awkward asking a repair shop for a ride, but they go out of their way to offer them and it makes the whole process much less stressful and a lot more convenient. Overall, excellent service!

I used Wilton Auto Body and Repair for new tires. I ordered them and Wilton Auto and Tire took the day to put them on. I received a call indicating that my new tires were on and it was ready for pick up. I arrived and when I looked at the tires they looked great at first glance. I started the car to leave but I noticed my tire pressure warning was still on. I got out to look at the tires again. They were the exact same tires - they just cleaned them! They left my old tires on, cleaned them, and told me my new tires were on and they were ready. They acted like they didnt know what happened and it was some mistake.... It was as close to robbed as I have ever come. Watch out for this place and make sure you look over their work closely if you have to use their services.

Nice people, quality work. As for the guy who is mad because he learned how to fix minor problems with his car, you need to realize this is a business! People are in it to make money. Anyone can buy their parts for cheaper from a parts store, but when you leave it up to the shop, you pay full price (retail). Thats just how it is. And your cable broke because it was old and rusty, it would have broke the next time you used the Ebrake, just happened to be there when it finally failed. Things break when your working on older cars with brittle and rusty components, which he will find out now that hes mr do it yourself, it comes with the territory, at least they told you about it. Again good shop, glad Scott is no longer there, Tom should be next.

We needed rear brakes replaced on one of our cars, which we preferably needed the next day due to a busy travel schedule and need for local errands. The Wilton Auto and Tire staff promptly examined the brakes, confirming that the rear brakes were completely worn down. They said they should have it done by the next morning and it was. On pickup, the service manager kindly showed us the old breaks and how the whistle warning system works on the car. We were able to make the trip to NY that day. The service was excellent. a rating of 3+ for Quality, Appeal and Service for Wilton Auto and Tire. thank you to all of the staff there!

i got two different jobs done by these guys about a year about. just recently ive been doing mechanic work on my own car, and have looked up prices for parts and labor time required for jobs. on one job, they padded the bill by over 200$, and on the more expensive job (muffler work), they added on over 300$ in inflated labor and parts costs, nearly doubling the bill. this is after i was a regular customer for years. on the second job, they broke the parking brake, which they fixed (and charged me for) with the first job. scumbags of the highest degree. i havent been back since.
