Needed a tire due to a blowout. Called around and this BJs had the tire brand/size in stock, although a 30 minute drive from my home. Called Sat morning to schedule an appointment, the tire guy said none was needed, just come on down. A couple hours later I show up and the tire guy starts frantically, and loudly, exclaiming that "Id better be prepared to wait as he was alone as the other guy called out, etc." I advised him there was no need to get loud with me and he immediately said "Ill get manager!" and stormed off. Manager came, they exchanged words and he said my car would be done in an hour and a half. No problem, I really didnt mind waiting, was just putt-off by his ranting like it was my fault he was overworked. Hey weve all been there, I can relate. An hour and half later I come back; my car is still outside untouched. Tire guy sees me, yells "Im bringing it on now!" I wait another 45 mins until completion. When I go outside I see that there are scratches all over my wheels and he hammered on the wheel weights where stick-on weights should have been used. I didnt feel like arguing so I left and decided to contact corporate. Three days later I received a voicemail from the district manager. I called back the number and had to wait over 30 mins on hold to speak with him. He gets on, I tell him my story and he asks if I can bring the car back on Sunday to have the tire manager look at it. Tell him no problem. Sunday I show up and ask for the tire manager. Wait another 20 mins at the service desk so they can find him. He shows up and I explain the DM told me to come down so he could look at my wheel and he blurts out "Why did he have you come down on a Sunday, the busiest day?! Makes no sense to me...not your fault…but makes no sense since were so busy!" We walk out, still with him commenting on how ridiculous it was that the DM made me come down, and he looks over the wheel. I point out the incorrect weights and the scratches and he says he has to talk to his manager to decide what they need to do and asks me to call back Monday. I have tried calling the main number several times and all it does is ring, no prompt, no menu. It is so frustrating how hard it is to get a hold of them. So I still have no idea what is happening, no one has tried to contact me. The level of incompetence and unprofessionalism this BJs demonstrates is astounding. And this is shocking because the BJs I frequent is nothing short of excellent.

I had been a member for a good number of years, but let my membership lapse a couple of years ago due to poor experiences, poor pricing, (such as the gas review below) etc. Recently I figured Id give it a try again, and took out a trial membership - with the intention of renewing it if I was satisfied. I was not!! I was thoroughly humiliated by a staff member yesterday. I stopped by to buy emergency cat litter for a sick kitten, and went to the "Express" line with my one item. I noticed that the family in front of me had about 40 items, and mentioned, "I thought this was the express." The woman hadnt realized it, and asked her husband to move. The guy smirked, and said to me, "Its too late now, pal. " He then said something to the cashier, who replied, "Dont worry, Ill be glad to take you anyway." The husband then smirked at me again, and said, "Take a walk!" It was an obvious threat, so I did, to the next aisle. I was very upset at this public putdown and validation by the BJs employee, so I called the manager on duty after I left the store. She was, to say the least, less than cordial. I cant believe one has to pay a membership fee to be treated like trash. I will NEVER renew again.

A very typical BJs with great selection in the warehouse store format. This one does have an adjacent gas station for members. The store is well organized, stocked and fresh foods are fresh and aisles are big enough for navigating. Make sure to grab a cart in the parking lot, otherwise you will need to walk left upon entering to where they are stored in front of the the registers. Check all clothing purchases for the electronic leash tags, as they are not always apparent.

Very confused over the BIG difference in your gas prices. Wallingford is ALWAY cheaper then North Haven and Im sure the same distributor is used. I called once the main office and was told , "then buy it somewhere else" Is that good customer service ?????. Last week the the price in Wallingford was $2.57.9. North Haven was in the $2.60s First Fuel on Middletown Ave North Haven sells it about the same price as BJs in North Haven. Not happy with this.

I really like BJs on the whole but I completely agree with an earlier poster that indicated that their snack bar is very poorly attended. We stopped using it because it is so poorly staffed and its clear based on the attitude you get from the people working it that it isnt a very highly regarded job as far as the roles a BJs employee can have.

I frequent the Wallingford, North Haven locations, Ive had good service at both places. There arent alot of employees at either locations, but when you can get help, they help you. Dont understand why there is so much of a difference in their gas prices. Havent been to the Orange location, but both stores Ive been too are kept clean.

They have no cameras in their parking lot... The first time that I went here my vehicle was broken into in the middle of the day. The employees were very unhelpful and acted like it was my fault when I demanded a membership refund. What business these days doesnt have cameras? Obviously thieves know there are no cameras.

Greeter, cashier, and service desk were fantastic. They couldnt have been more helpful. However. I went specifically to buy the B & J nicotine lozenges that I bought last week and was told that they no longer carry them. Was very disappointed.

I visit this BJs every few months to stock up on essentials and have never had a probpem here. The staff is generally friendly, the store is kept clean and they usually have everything I need in stock.

Membership problems signing up, and they were unbelievably rude and unhelpful over the phone. I cant wait to see what a BJs store is like inside, now--for as long as it takes to cancel my membership.

Quality food for your family at a very reasonable prices. Loads of coupons, which helps the wallet. You may not have a family, still good shopping for singles or two households.
