It was my first visit. Whoa! There are no bored slackers working here busy texting their friends or complaining about what time their next break will be. The men and women working here are dressed professionally and carry themselves the same way. I was looking for hiking shoes. The Sales Associate, Steve Caplan, never asked my shoe size; he went straight for the Brannock Device and measured my size AND width. He even measured BOTH feet to see which was larger. I never looked at the measurements until I checked the shoe size at home; all I knew was the size he brought out fit right away. I was almost embarrassed to have someone else lace and fit the shoes to my feet, but thats exactly what he did. He even carried the tool of the trade IN HIS POCKET- a shoehorn, and used it as if it was a given. Lastly, he showed me a special lacing method for the hiking shoes which was not readily apparent and not included as instructions with the shoes. Try THAT at your cookie cutter, themed, mall store! Far and away the best experience Ive had for service of any kind in any store in a looong time. I know it sounds silly to get excited about a shoe store, but I was certainly impressed.

My wife has a hard to find shoe size as do I. She has an 11 W and I have a 13 W. I had all but given up hope for finding her sneakers or any other shoe for that matter. We used to have some luck at a well known onlnie retailer, but they stopped carrying her size. I found FootPrints on a blog post--surfed in--and went up to the store with my family. We discovered that the place had several hard to find sizes for my wife and the staff member spent over 1.5 hours with her bringing out at least 10 pairs of shoes for her to try on. The great part is that when I got up to the cashier--the shoes were on sale. Saved $10.00. Trust me its worth the drive. Walk in. Look around. When youre ready get ahold of a salesperson and you will leave happy.

I went into the store at the suggestion of a co-worker 3/1/ 2010. I live nearby in NB and decided to go by one nite after work to purchase some sneaks and pumps. I walked in with a few people and waited for a sales person to approach me as this was my first visit I walked around akwardly still waiting I looked and noticed the individuals I walked in with all being helped and showed around I also noticed three salesmen standing at the door chatting. At this point I walked by them and out the store I dont know if I looked lost or if it was assumed I wasnt going to purchase but terrible customer service I will chalk this up to a bad experience and not the fact that I was the darkest person in the store.

Good place for hard to fit feet. Usually a short wait for a staffer, but they will give you one on one service, and stay with you until you are done shopping. And be willing to run to get any shoe you might want to try, and offer more shoes that are close in style in case you missed them. Staff usually very well trained, only once was there and ended up with surprising sizing results and fitting issues.
