This place is fantastic! My mom and I came in for tea and a quick bite while in the area, and left suuuper satisfied. My mom ordered a gluten-free/yeast-free tuna wrap (although it took a while to get to the table--theyre moving so theyre a little low on supplies and they make everything by individual purchase, so we dont blame them at all-- it didnt feel at all long, she said it was worth the wait regardless) and organic Yerba Mate (also great; very smooth and strong).I had a vegan brownie-- probably one of, if not the BEST brownies Ive had in my--albeit--short 18 year-old life and a lemon&ginger/ginger&lemon iced tea<--cant say Ive had better. Bonus for organic/fair trade! The people there were so nice, we left in a better mood than when we came in. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff and patrons are very friendly; it was overall a very positive experience. BUT-- for future reference: I dont know how up to date their website is(or maybe its ahead, idk) because I looked D2E prior to walking in, and it said they were closed on Mondays. But their page on Google and Facebook was correct(?) Just some confusion. It was still pretty great though, so I can be mad. :) Also, if someone from D2E ever reads this, it would be helpful if you labeled whats vegan, gluten free, etc. just to make it more comprehensible/easier to order. Thank you!

This may not sound like a positive review, but I assure you it is. Ive been here a handful of times now, and the experience has evolved for me. The first time I came in, it was because my usual haunt was closed and I was pretty grumpy. The server behind the counter was super polite, to the point where I almost thought it was phony and condescending. I came back a few more times and found that every single person who worked there was just really, really friendly. Something about the New England coffee landscape has shaped me into a misanthropic pessimist who expects that every barista has to be an incorrigible grouch and/or inconsolable narcissist. Ive probably been helped by five separate people there, and each one was just as chipper, interested in my stupid life, and most of all just incredibly excited to get me to try different things. Ive only gotten the drip coffee there, but their pastry cooler looks pretty outta sight. As far as actual products, everything feels pretty bespoke and curated. Although I havent been necessarily *blown away* by the coffee, it was certainly great and changes often. Down to Earth is the best place around that isnt itself a roaster. If you are passing near Glastonbury and want a flexible cafe with incredible humans working at it, I highly recommend.

Ive been to the coffee house twice now. Have little time. Is the most attractive interior for a coffee house that Ive ever seen. It is totally artistic. When I entered I immediately said, "Wow." Whomever did the décor must practice feng shui, or however that is spelled, because the moment I entered I felt relaxed yet stimulated. Feelings of stress, I guess thats what dissolved. I highly recommend it for the ambience alone. Then, the beverages and pastries are super!!! Great place to meet friends for a personal tete-a-tete or discussion of serious matters...like politics and the future of humanity.

Down to earth coffee and tea house is amazing! My husband and I have enjoyed going here; and we look forward to many more future visits. The cold brew coffee is excellent; I tried the cinnamon flavor added in and it was delicious. We really enjoy the soups. The owners and staff are very welcoming. This coffee house has a wonderful relaxing vibe and the seating/layout is warm and inviting. Looking forward to the next visit and what we will try next! I love how there are gluten free treats and bread to accompany the soups.

I stopped in this place for a cup of tea. To my surprise I found myself a new spot. The owner took her time and went through the organic flavors. She and her staff/which is also her granddaughter was so cool i decided to stay and have a kettle. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Just what I need. She asked me my favorite colors which are purple and orange.i grabbed my spot and here she comes with my peach tea in a small cute purple kettle and an orange tea cup. Its so good. Please visit so u can experience it for yourself.

Down to Earth is my number one tea spot in the Hartford area. Friends and I frequently come here to work and chat. Professional enough to bring clients, yet cozy enough to just chill. The staff is very helpful and indeed down to earth. Hot beverages and food are great; lots of tasty gluten-free and vegan options!

When I first went to Down to Earth Coffee House, I truly enjoyed the atmosphere that stays true to its name. This place is truly a gem. The people are friendly, there is free WiFi, and the coffee and pastrys are delicious. A great place to bring a book or a laptop to and just let the time fly.

Best coffee house in Glastonbury, maybe even all of Hartford area. The owner and employees are super friendly and helpful. The decor is really cool and the artwork changes regularly. They also have regular live music on Fridays. I meet all of my clients there for meetings. Great spot.
