I ran in just to get a few things so I grabbed a basket, I walked over from Messina Drive to get my father in law a chicken as well. During my 15 mins of shopping I was stopped and told I couldnt put the chicken in my carry out bag which I need to get my groceries back across the street. Ive been shopping this way for over 20 years. My family and I had just gotten back from a hour long ride to see their mom who had suffered a stroke 2 days after delivering a baby. At the check out one of the employees said that "someone was testy". So I explained that my wife who had just given birth 6 weeks ago suffered a stroke 2 days after. I just needed a few things, I didnt need a shopping cart for a 10 minute dash to get a few things and try to get my 7 year old home. Sometimes you never know what people are going through in their life but after dealing with them Ill never go back. Thank you stop and shop for making a good night into another stressful event!

I feel Stop & Shop has forgotten why they are in business. Its to sell you food. But every time a product us gone from their shelves, it takes FOREVER for them to order it. I think a wait time of 7 1/2 weeks for Ivory Soap etc is ridiculous. Also, their cash room alarm is constantly going off all hours of the day and night. They do a lousy job of snow plowing and shoveling the sidewalks too. They are also going to start charging for bags in October. I shop elsewhere now.

Very rude guy works in courtesy booth. He thinks anything you say or do is a slight against him because hes gay. He seems to think he is better than anyone that works there, and obviously hes better than a lowly customer. I havent gone back to the store since he was very rude to me. I probably spent several thousand dollars a year at that Stop & Shop prior to that incident. T&J and ShopRite are much cleaner and friendlier stores anyway.

Ive always loved shopping here but not anymore. I bought hamburger meat, their brand, had it in my fridge and a day before its sell by date it turned completely brown. This leads me to suspicion that they restock old meat with new dates in order to sell. And/or are mixing old meat with new to make it look fresh. Will not trust them again.

They have a bad system for self check out that breaks almost always and if youre someone like me who buys 300 dollars worth of food at a time you get audited and are stuck in the store for another hour with their grouchy employees overall the service is bad plas they have very infrequent stock

Online it says you guys are open till 11 and I arrived at 10:30 and the doors were locked because the hours on the door said closed at 10 . You guys should really update your hours online because I wasnt the only one who showed up at that time due to the misconception.

their fruits are too much expensive or if it inexpensive not good. I love the staffs especially the elder lady " Mary" is the best. their deli awesome, the staffs who works this sections are all great!

I dont like any stop n shops in CT. Their setup and organization is totally backwards. This one is at least cleaner than Hamden. Thats not saying much though. I wish CT had Publix or Kroger.

Its a grocery store. They have decent groceries. Sometimes service is good, other times it isnt. I prefer going to Big Y because it is just an overall nicer atmosphere.
