If youre looking for a backhanded comment SNL skit worthy experience, this place is for you. My first impression of this office was somewhat favorable. I saw Dr. Eissenberg and she was very pleasant. However, I selected a pair of glasses they told me theyd hold for me, then sold them a couple hours later. Ok, no big deal, I simply requested that they buzz me when another pair came in as I had decided to purchase them, to which they agreed. I have worn glasses for 15+ years, for office work and office meetings. I was very clear that I needed them for the computer and for frequent across the desk interactions. When my RX was filled, I couldnt see past my hand. I made an appt for a recheck and thats when it went down hill. I ignored the passive aggressive belittling of the receptionist implying that I didnt know what I was talking about while I made my recheck appt., and the similar comments from her upon arrival. During my appt with Dr. Eissenberg, I explained that I could only see things within 12 inches of my face, and I hadnt come to her for readers. She pointed out my age of 40 a couple times, then offered these following explanations for the RX: - Because Im 40 and aging, I would eventually need a RX this strong, probably within 3-4 years. - She prescribed a stronger RX for the days my eyes are tired and my adequate prescription isnt enough - She also advised I would eventually "grow into this RX" I was looking for an accurate RX for now, not something that I would "grow into", or need in a few years since Im "aging". Had she explained her tactical angle, I would have requested glasses that are accurate for now, not later. She did offer a doctors change and reduced the RX, letting me know that filling this RX would only cause me to return in 9 months for the original RX she prescribed. So, 3-4 years just turned into 9 months. I was stunned by the multitude of backhanded comments from both the receptionist and Dr. Eissenberg and I will not recommend or return. Lastly, the glasses I had requested notification on when they came in as I wanted to purchase them were hanging on the wall. I never received a call. But thats the smallest concern of my overall experience.

Dr. Eissenberg has been our familys eye doctor for many years; she is fantastic! We started at her Westminster office, and were excited to find that she also has a Lakewood office when we moved a few years ago. As a professional engineer I spend a lot of time in front of a computer which strains the eyes, and I also enjoy many outdoor activities so distance vision is very important to me. I know that I am a difficult and demanding patient both because I am very particular about my vision and because my engineering instincts drive me to want to understand everything about how things work, including about vision correction. I always have endless questions and suggestions that Dr. Eissenberg listens to and answers thoroughly and patiently. I have astigmatism and mostly wear contact lenses so as Ive gotten older it is an increasing challenge for me to find a prescription that works well for the computer, outdoors and closeup reading. Many times I have gotten separate workday and weekend contact prescriptions in order to optimize differently. Dr. Eissenberg has always been thoroughly accommodating with this. Last year I got new glasses from the Lakewood office for the first time in several years (since I dont use them much) and I couldnt be happier with them. Glasses correct vision more accurately than contacts do of course, and glasses are so light and comfortable these days that I definitely wear glasses now more than I used to. My recommendation is five stars only because there arent six.

We had a great experience with Dr. K last week. I brought in my 14 year old son who has autism and my 14 month old daughter. I explained that my son has trouble with communication and may get confused easily and the doctor took it into consideration. He took his time, explained things slowly and checked in constantly to make sure my son was comfortable and doing alright. I was worried it would be a tough appointment for him and that we wouldnt get an accurate exam completed, however it went really smoothly!! My daughter was very wiggly and hard to control (toddlers, duh) and the doc did what he could to assess the issue I brought her in for. He referred me to a childrens eye doctor for further assessment and took the time to explain what she may need. He even wrote down the referral docs phone and name for me, and let me know that he would be contacting them for me. He was easy to talk to and ask questions to, and overall I felt like our experience was very thorough and positive! The only recommendation I would give is to add a few toys to the waiting area as my daughter was having a hay day playing with everything she could get her hands on, which made it tricky to fill out the forms I needed to (only two forms though per child - super easy ones too). Looking forward to returning there in the future!

I went in to this office to place an order for a pair of safety glasses mid August of 2016. They told me it would be approximately 5 weeks for the order to come in, and I initially thought was a long time, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, seeing as they have high reviews. October 11 of 2016 comes and I have heard nothing from them about this order so I call to find out that the order was "lost in the mail" and that they would re-order them. Today is now November 14, 2016. I have yet to receive the glasses, and when I called to ask about the order, all they could say was "sorry, it should be here soon". In this situation, sorry is not good enough. I would not recommend this establishment, based on my experience, their untimely turn around for a simple pair of safety glasses, and the lack of attention/communication to an outstanding order and the potential of a return customer. Will not return, will not recommend.

Was going to stay quiet about this but after hearing nothing back Im compelled to write. My glasses had to be returned THREE times because the place in iowa? doing the work messed up.Fourth time they came back they still werent acceptable,to me,uncomfortable and crooked,I know glasses,Ive worn them for forty years, but you would think I didnt know a thing according to one member of staff.I returned them by mail because I could not use them and didnt want make anyone, including myself uncomfortable,I asked for nothing back but expected at least a phone call to say were sorry we couldnt accommodate you,NOTHING,thats class-less.

I just moved to the area so my experience at Foothills Vision Center was one of my first in the state of Colorado. It was also my first time that I needed glasses. Every component of my experience was perfect. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. My Optometrist was very personable. Choosing frames was easy with the help of the friendly staff. I would recommend Foothills Vision Center to everyone ! Excellent experience!

I am quite picky about my eyes. More so than any other component of my health. I have been a Foothills Vision Center client for years. Appointments are easy to make. Staff is professional and friendly. They tailor their care to MY needs, and the needs of others (I heard Dr. K talk to a patient about specific things for hunters). They are partners in my eye care, I appreciate that.
