I dont get the negative reviews on this store. First the non-sale prices are typical of smaller liquor stores in Denver, if not a little cheaper although not always. This isnt a big store that can discount based on volume. If you want cheap youll need to leave the neighborhood, which cost you more in gas then youll save unless you are buying for a party. I have never had problem with the staff. A couple of them are very friendly and a couple of them will check you out and if you ask dumb questions you might get a terse response. If you act like you are more important than another customer you should just leave the store. But the couple of times Ive had issues theyve been very accommodating. Its a local place. With the "Beer of the Month" selection and the 10% off after 10 purchased this is the best local place around. As for the selection: Better than most of the smaller liquor stores youll find. Not as good as some. There are some Colorado breweries I like they dont carry, but then I havent found those in stores of their size very often. I drink beer and they have porter and stouts. I have three liquor stores closer to me, both arent cheaper and both dont have a porter or stout anywhere in the store. For my ability to buy a type of beer I want Morgans come through more times that not.

If Morgans wasnt a few blocks from the University of Denver the place would certainly go out of business. Mediocre selection, dingy atmosphere, and a vexing disregard for customer service. On a number of occasions, Ive seen employees be downright rude to customers for simple requests (can I get a bag? do you have any pumpkin ale? can I get a receipt?). To the owners of this poor establishment: enjoy it while it lasts because as soon as another - really any other - liquor store moves in nearby, Morgans is history.

I love the beer of the month and buy the entire lineup of whichever brewer they are featuring each month. This is really all I buy here because its great beer at the best price in town. I have seen a lot of reviews about poor customer service, but this hasnt been my experience at all, but I dont make a habit of getting to know the employees either. Bottom line is if you want to have a friendly conversation with someone then call your mother. If you want inexpensive craft beer go to Morgans.

imagine an extremely busy, overpriced liquor store run by a bunch of self-important hipsters who dont condone the use of alcohol and give you dirty looks when you buy cigarettes. there are better liquor stores with better prices and friendlier people within walking distance.

Best liquor store in Denver. The local atmosphere is great! All the employees there know their stuff and are more than willing to help. They also have a zero tolerance policy for underage buyers using fake ID and the whole counter is littered with them its hilarious.

I love it here. Perfect prices. Great friendly knowledgeable people. I can ask them any question about any drink they either know the answer or they will find it for you. And they help me to my car when I have a case or any large order. They are perfect!

They have a great selection of beer Wine and Liquor and their customer rewards program gives you 10% off for every 10 purchases. The employees are polite helpful and funny. Just dont try to get away with a fake ID!
