I chose DML Computer Repair because of its mostly positive Google reviews - hopefully this one will level the playing field. After my PC stopped recognizing my OS, I dropped off my laptop on a Saturday morning (The location is essentially a storage closet in the back of another building). I was told that it would be diagnosed and ready to go by Monday afternoon at the latest. However, when Monday rolled around and I had heard nothing from David (who I assume is the owner). I called and David seemed to be confused, saying that him and his technicians didnt even show up until around noon that day. Thats cool though, IT Guys know how to party I guess. Finally, on Wednesday, I received a text from David, complete with grammar mistakes, that informed me that I needed to call him because there was more than one problem with my PC (at this point, David was unaware that Im an engineer for a major HDD manufacturer). So I called him, and he explained exactly what I had written on the drop off sheet as possible problems. Not only did he "explain" what was wrong, he made sure to ask (in a quite demeaning tone) if I knew what an OS was, what a SSD did, and how a computer used an SSD and HDD to boot the OS. Just super, looks like I just got schooled in computer knowledge by a man in sweats and a #1 Dad t shirt. BUT HERES WHERE THINGS GET GOOD. David insisted that he wouldnt be able to get my files off of my PC until Friday night, so I met him at his store at 6 PM that night. After parking at the next door McDonalds (the only convenient place to park), I approached the back door to see a man dressed in all black standing outside. As I walked up, the man (who was David) told me that he locked himself out of his own building. At this point, I told him that I simply wanted my laptop back, and was not willing to wait any longer to get it as it had already been 6 days for a simple diagnosis. After saying that his keys were across town, David then angrily said "Fine, you want me to break into the building, Ill break into the building." So, I stood in the dark lot/side street that is the entrance to his store, while he STRAIGHT UP ATTACKED THE LOCK with a screw driver - and pliers - and a different screw driver - and a crow bar - and a coat hanger. Somewhere in there, he entered his car and made a phone call with the door closed, and then returned to violating the lock. (Here I was thinking that he had just phoned his IT boys to come take me out). Over 40 minutes went by - I was scared that he was going to turn his little screwdrivers on me next - and I even faked a phone call at one point. But FINALLY, after the incredibly long and sketchy wait, a beat up vehicle playing loud music pulled up, rolled down its window, and handed out a key that David used to get inside and bring me my PC. Since this incident, my life has been forever changed. I have trouble talking to the IT guy at work - for fear that David is working through him. I CAN NEVER EVER LOOK AT A LOCK THE SAME WAY AGAIN. Items that say #1 Dad on them now have a whole new meaning. I watch my back carefully, every where I go. Ive tried disinfecting my laptop countless times now, but still I cannot wash away his touch. My psychologist friend says that it could take years to recover. Please, save yourself from years in recovery, at least $10 in disinfectant, and retain your ability to use a door lock by getting your PC fixed somewhere else.

These guys were fantastic! Ive been meaning to get around to writing this review, as I officially know where I will be taking my computer whenever issues arise. The staff here were extremely friendly, speedy, & perform great work! I had a crazy power surge-related issue that took out my power supply. They had it fixed super fast, and when it went down again, as it was discovered the surge also took out my liquid cooling, they had me come back in for another speedy & affordable repair to get it back up & running again. No other place in my experience has been able to handle 2 repairs in under a month, with crazy low prices, & a courteous staff! If its broke, take it to DML! P.S. These guys were so courteous to me, I just have to respond to the post I saw preceeding mine: Anyone who writes this: "Since this incident, my life has been forever changed. One word - FAST. This small little company is a customer experience powerhouse! They are a no-frills, no bullcrap operation, prices are very reasonable and I definitely felt that their motivation is to do right by the customer. I had just dropped off my custom built PC during the lunch hour - they were finished with diagnostics and repair in less than two hours and sent an email AND text letting me know its ready for pickup. Id also asked them to evaluate my computer for an upgrade. They were more than happy to do that and the email sent included links to the hardware they recommended. They dont try to get you to buy these in store and instead recommend that you save money by ordering it online. I really appreciate the effort they put in to save me money and get me going quickly. Am I coming back here for anything computer related? You bet your sweet ass I am. When you find that one mechanic to work on your car that tells you exactly whats wrong with it, doesnt upsell and prefers honesty over trying to get more money out of your wallet, you know he just became your go-to guy. Same deal with this place. If I ever have problems with my computer, these guys will be the first on my list to call. Thanks again!!

I work from home using software that is extremely strenuous on my computer (video editing and motion graphics). When my screens started going blank, DML was the fourth tech company I called, but the first that was eager and willing to help. I found their staff to be prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Their turn-around time was impressive - David and Deanne were able to diagnose and resolve my problem within thirty minutes. Additionally, they gave me an informative tutorial on how to keep my machine running optimally. Deanne fine-tuned my machine which now has a startup time of 2 minutes as supposed to 9 minutes. They truly went above and beyond what I ever expected - a family business with more than reasonable rates, superb service, personal attention, and they are passionate about their work. I recommend these folks to anyone and everyone. Keep up the amazing work you guys!!!!!
