I absolutely love Claw and Talon. I wish I could give it more than five stars, because it has earned a thousand in my book. Vinny was the artist I worked with most recently, but everyone in the shop is fantastic. Sam and Chelsea were so kind, and made conversation even though I wasnt their client this time. They both do very excellent work, but Vinnys personal style was what l was looking for in this particular piece. My latest piece was a cover up of several scars on my forearm. Ive been embarrassed to wear anything but long sleeves for a long time, until Vinny helped me. I came into the shop at noon, and even though he was busy he drew the tattoo and got me in that night, working late to do the outline. While I was being tattooed Vinny let me sit how I was most comfortable (even if it would have been easier to have me sit a certain way). I spent my two hours chatting with Vinny and Sam, who made me feel totally welcome. The piece I have now is not done yet, but it looks incredible. Even with out the color to finish it yet, the art draws the eye away from the horrible scars I have. The crisp lines of my flowers are exactly the look I want. They are beautiful and feminine, and I feel like I can proudly show off my art work in a girly outfit instead of having people ask about the scars. Vinny helped me not only move on, but erase a chapter in my life that is not a part of who I am. He gave me something I can proudly show off to anyone. The shop is clean, with a warm atmosphere. Whichever artist you work with will give you a terrific tattoo, at a good price, with an environment that you dont find often. Thank you so much to the wonderful artists of Claw and Talon, especially Vinny! I will always come here, and recommend it to everyone I know. I cant say it enough, THANK YOU CLAW AND TALON!

The tattoo artist was not willing to work with me. She said it wasnt possible to color text, and wasnt possible to fit the script on my arm. I asked her to try a unique artistic font of her own and she refused to even try. After I left and went to another place, I was welcomed in a much friendlier manner, immediately helped, and they gladly worked with me, allowing me to add not only color to my desired text, but gradients even! I felt like the artist at claw and talon (who was nice enough herself) was just not willing to even try and adjust my ideas to see if they might work then. I was just shutdown. So I left and now Im going to Blue Rose where they are nice, professional, and obviously more experienced with tattooing and customer service

Serina did an awesome job! I talked to her over the phone and she drew up exactly what i wanted. I got script done on my legs and the line work and shading is beautiful, shes very talented. The facility was clean and professional but it also has a comfortable feel because its a smaller place. I highly recommend this shop and if i lived in the state i would go back for more! For the people that had a bad experience, I feel like 99% of the time the artist knows better than you do about what will work and what they can do so if you dont like what they recommend thats why consultations are free. Look into an artists work in relation to the type of work you want before you contact a shop.

I have been getting ink done by Joe Martinez for 9 years now. When he moved to Claw and Talon, I obviously followed. His work is wonderful, creative, and he always stands by it. If he isnt happy with something, than he works to make it exactly how he wants it. I immediately loved the atmosphere of Claw and Talon. The other artists were extremely friendly. I have had ink done in places where I cant wear a lot of clothing, and I never once felt creeped out by the other people in the shop. I cant say the same for other shops I have been to. Ive suggested this place to multiple friends of mine, and all that have gone have liked it. Great people working there, and great art.

I came in with a very simple tattoo design. The artist rushed it an it is very obvious in the work. Parts of the tattoo are still raised a year later, or scars. The lines are not straight or even. The center piece wich is smaller an detailed is not even and looks like he just didnt want to spend the time to put a smaller needle on it. Not only that but the other artist in the shop when I was getting my work was extremely rude. I have no doubt they all have talent, but if they arnt interested they are going to rush through your work to get to the next client with more money.

These guys rock! I came in with a horrible drawing of my own and they brought it to a new (and better)life. Vinny was the first one to refer to my skin as a canvas. He is a true artist and a wonderful person. I am honored and privlaged to have him work on me. Thank you Claw and Talon for all you helped me develop my own art. Everyone was courteous and respectful, even when they maybe shouldnt. their opinions are invaluable in my eyes. I cant wait to get back and get more work done. thank you thank you thank you! (just cant say it enough)

Best experience getting a tattoo so far! Jay was the artist that did my tattoo and was amazing from start to finish. He drew exactly what I envisioned and the finish product was better than I imagined! The other artists that were tattooing their clients were really friendly and showed genuine interest in making sure I was happy with the experience and the tattoo! If I wasnt moving away from Colorado I would come back here for any and all future tattoos!

I would give it no stars but Im forced to give 1. The stench of rude and pompous, really float thru the air as soon as you walk in. Stopped by to make an appointment and an "artist" claimed my idea for a few small tattoos were lame and unoriginal. If I wanted and felt the necessity to criticize his inked up arm, I would have, but Im not a dick. Will not have any work done here and will continue to spread the word about this spot.

Went in one afternoon after calling ahead and seeing If they could take a walk-in. I was there for my first tattoo and was tattooed by Vinny. He treated me with great professionalism and gave me exactly what I wanted while making me comfortable. It was a great first time experience and all the artists at the shop were awesome to be around as well. This shop will not let you down.

Called two days in advance to get a small quote done on my hip. I am not new to getting tattooed and wanted something small done, here in Boulder. Professional, quick and cleanly. I only had a small quote done, but from what I can tell, these guys are all very talented artists. I am very happy with how it turned out and will probably return here again in the future to get more!
