Just did my tongue piercing about two hours ago.. it went by GREAT! It was only $35 (CASH ONLY), which is very reasonable. The guy who did my piercing his name is Trino. HE WAS EXTREMELY SWEET, PATIENT, AND WELCOMING. I am very happy to have gotten my tongue pierced by him, especially since it was my FIRST PIERCING EVER (obviously other than my ears)! He was very very knowledgeable and very patient. My mother and I probably kept asking the same questions worded differently each time over and over but he was super chill and helped me not freak out at all. He did the piercing very quickly so it was basically pain-free. Now it DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL BE PAIN-FREE FOR EVERYONE, but like he told me it depends on how the person talks, their resistance to pain, and how their own body works. He gave me a lot of advice and tips on how to take care of it which is great to have. ILL DEFINITELY COME BACK FOR MY BELLY BUTTON IN THE FUTURE! :3 TAKE MY ADVICE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF! YIU DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! ^_^

Researched most of the tattoo shops in the local area, most were out of control expensive as you pay for the name. I walked in to Breakthrough tattoo on Foothill and Grove in Upland and asked for help. The owner Chris MacCharles was happy to answer my questions and take the time to have a real conversation unlike the other shops I had looked into. Im 54 and recently lost my husband and wanted a tattoo in memory of him but if you see it you would never know its a memorial. I had 5 sessions for my half sleeve and my older skin wouldnt handle the process without all the time that was given to me from Chris MacCharles. He has a lot of pride in his work and I would recommend him to anyone who wants a high end tattoo from someone who is a true professional. If your a first timer or want another tattoo take a look at his work, go in and see his pictures he will be glad to give you the time....Thank you Chris, your the man!!!! Breakthrough is the spot. And Gabe Cervantes is the man. I found breakthrough by doing a Google maps search, and I chose them because they had a five star rating. I had an idea for a tat bouncing around my head for some years now and was finally ready to go talk to an artist to make it happen. My first consultation with Gabe was bad ass. Within a half hour the idea I had problems picturing was already done in his mind. Thats a bad ass dude! Ive had 2 sessions now for a total of about 7 hours needle time and I am stoked. Gabes shading is unreal, and his attention to detail is far from impressive. I know a lot of people swear they have the best tattoo guy ever. They havent met Gabe or been to breakthrough yet.. If you have an idea and want a legit artist. Youd be well served to go see Gabe.

I have been tattooed over the years at a lot of socal tattoo shops. this shop got a new owner and a lot of new artists this year and changed from king spades to breakthrough tattoo. this location has been a tattoo shop for over 10 years and it has really turned around since my last visit. I think their prices are fair and i got helped right away when i came in to get a price on some background for my sleeve. ive had 2 appointments there and i will be returning soon to get more ink. i suggest this shop to anyone whos had a bad experience elsewhere. Overall, good service, clean, fair prices, and relaxing vibe. lots of cute girls come through too so its a nice way to take my mind off the pain.

Found them on google and decided to give them a try. Actually just got mine today. Chris did my tattoo and he was pretty booked til June but his wife politely squeezed me in before then! they are very nice, professional, and chill !!! and he did my tattoo FAST, faster than I expected !! of course its going to hurt, but it only took 2 hours or less so it wasnt too bad at all. He said he usually doesnt do the kind of tattoo he did on me, but he did a PERFECT JOB. could not be happier !!! if there is any piece, send em a pic and they should be able to do it and do a really good job on it! THANKS AGAIN !! VERY HAPPY !!!

I am visiting my sister from Houston, TX and we have always wanted to get tattoos together so I looked at places in the area and decided to check out breakthrough! We met with Fernando and I had already read great reviews about him but he completely exceeded the high expectations I already had set for him! He was so patient with us as we discussed our ideas. His attention to detail was on point and he went above and beyond to enure we had the best experience! When I get another tattoo it wont be until Im visiting from Texas again! Great artist and great shop!

After reading several reviews, my son and I went to this establishment to get a feel for it. Upon entering the place, we were well received by Chris and promptly asked if we needed any help. I wanted to look around and was referred to their portfolios. After several minutes, we felt confident in locking in an appointment. We were tattooed by Bryan who did a excellent job on my tat; detailing was terrific. My sons tat was also very well done. We concluded that this father & son team would both definitely return to Breakthrough Tattoo. Thank you Bryan.

I had a great experience. Breakthrough tattoo is very clean and organized. All artists have their proper licensing, they check I.D. and you must sign liability forms before you get work done. I really appreciate this kind of atmosphere, I like knowing that my health, well being, and perfect tattoo are of utmost importance. Gabe was my tattoo artist an he does amazing work and my 4 hour session went by quick. Hes really funny and he makes you feel comfortable, most importantly his work is sick. I had a great experience I cant wait to go back

This place is amazing the quality of art coming out of this place is unbeatable. As for price, considering the quality of work you are gonna get it its totally worth it. I got a full colored bird on my shoulderblade thats about 6 inches long by 4 inches tall and I paid 320 for it, including some background shading and stars. I could not be happier with my tattoo and I would reccomend this place to anyone. In fact I am taking my boyfriend there today to get his first tattoo.

Dont listen to ignorant people that dont know what theyre talking about. Ive probably been in close to 100 Tattoo Parlors in my 52 years, King of Spades is one of only 5 that I have let work on me Ive had 4 Tats done there, one a 1/4 sleeve, they were very professional and Elijah did a great job on the three he did. Very clean No problems, No attitudes, No Bullshit !!!. people can tell when you are an associate of some other shop trying to discredit competition
