This place is definitely as good as it gets!! First off, Top and Lucy are truly and sincerely, two people who are kind, gracious, and caring. My girlfriend and I had done some ring shopping in DTLAs jewelry district, and thought we found a good jeweler. He was. But he just wasnt what we needed as far as an engagement ring. It was a disaster- and Top has the "bad" ring as proof. I stumbled across Top and Lucy when I bought a pair of diamond earrings in DTLA for my gf, and I wanted to make sure they were real. When I walked into BCJ, I just kneeew that those are what engagement rings- any piece of fine jewelry- are supposed to look like. The detail and brilliance was amazing. I went home and told my gf that we needed to come check out BCJ. Needless to say, she was just as impressed as myself. We were floored at the difference in the quality of the setting we had already bought, and the rings Top made. I mean the detail on Tops rings are undeniable. My gf and I, are a same-sex couple. But it didnt seem to phase Top or Lucy at all. They helped us and treated us like everyday people. My ring is the most amazing, gorgeous, detail of beauty and love I have ever seen. You would think Top was making it for his own wife or daughter. I feel like BCJ is our best kept secret. I cant imagine the thousands and thousands of dollars that people spend on name brand rings unnecessarily- just because its name brand. Top and Lucy are genuinely interested in giving you the most amazing piece of jewelry ever. They are willing to work with whatever situation you have- as he did with us when we had already bought the not so great setting in DTLA. Top is patient and really listens to every single detail you explain. My ring turned out better than I even imagined/exceeded my expectations. My ring has a life of its own. Everywhere I go, people compliment it- and many cant believe its an engagement ring- they think its my wedding ring lol I highly recommend them for any and all occasions. Their work is gorgeous and perfect.

We were referred to Beach City Jewelers by a friend and could not be more pleased. After our wonderful experience there in 2004, we simply cannot imagine working with any other jeweler. We tried a bunch of different shops, but just did not trust anyone as we trust Top and Lucy. They are honest, friendly, and conduct themselves with the integrity. It all started with my stunning engagement ring and husbands platinum woven band, and even though we have moved across the country since then, we still buy only from them! I miss going into the beautiful shop and seeing them, but whenever were looking for something unique and priced just right, we pick up the phone and call Top & Lucy. They really do deliver and to this day, I credit Top for convincing my husband to go a little less in carat weight for ideal cut and color, and I get compliments daily. In fact, my girlfriend who has a significantly higher carat weight diamond than mine admits that my smaller diamond actually looks so much bigger than hers. Just the other night, a woman from the other side of the restaurant actually came over to ask to see my ring because she said she could not believe how sparkly it was across the entire room with such poor lighting. It was a little embarrassing, but in a good kind of way. My husband was so proud of himself, lol! Go meet them - you wont be disappointed!! They are the BEST!

I discovered this place while shopping for my engagement ring and I dont regret a single decision about choosing this place. Top and Lucy were more than incredible when getting the ring. Lets just say that the experience was so great, I didnt even visit the store until I picked up the actual ring! Top did an amazing job creating a custom engagement ring; all I had to do was e-mail him of a picture that Jeannine (who works at the store from time to time) had helped me find and all I had to do was sit back and relax. I told him my price range - no problem - and he even got me a diamond that I never thought I could afford. He also adjusted the original concept of the ring to make it even better (ie: this style ring didnt sell well because _____ )!! They also were very flexible in how I wanted to pay for the ring. In conclusion, I am never going to another store when it comes to purchasing an important ring. And I am also referring all my other buddies who are planning to propose, all of them!

I agree wholeheartedly with the two previous reviews. Top and Lucy are definitely the reason its fun to look at jewelry and then buy! Theyre very knowledgable, and will not ever pressure you in any way. In fact, they help you find just the perfect piece of jewelry you are wanting. I LOVE my diamond ring, set in white gold. When we married there was no money for such a stunningly beautiful diamond ring. I continue to get wonderful compliments on it where ever I go. We have gone back and because i had been wanting hoop earrings, white gold! Top and Lucy walked me through all the earrings i was interested in, and when i picked the ones i loved, i KNEW they were THE ones. SO great to shop there. I love it. You will too. I would think this is the perfect store for a nervous bridegroom-to-be to walk into. He wont find any more helpful people than here, and their jewelry is delicious.

Beach City Jewelers is the place to go when it comes to quality custom jewelry! The workmanship that is seen in each piece is remarkable. My fiance and I just got engaged and it was an amazing experience to work with Top & Lucy. They helped meet the budget, made a beautiful ring-- my DREAM ring, and made our engagement story that much more special! My fiance was able to pick up the ring in about 4 weeks because he had a plan to propose, so Top worked hard and completed the ring just in the nick of time! Along with the stress of planning a proposal I didnt want to add the stress of looking for the perfect ring! So i was referred to beach city by a friend who a year ago purchased an engagement ring as is very happy with his purchase. I had been to various stores before going to beach city and non made me feel the way I felt after speaking to Top (hes the owner) and how comfortable I was. Too make a long story short I made three trips to beach city to look at stones until I found the perfect one and Top was helpful the whole way, I get my ring in 2-3 weeks and I cant be any happier with my choice and price!

Top place to get a custom made wedding band made by Top. He is a genius at meeting your needs and budget. A genuinely nice person with a winning smile and caring for his customers. I would go back in a minute for anything new i wanted made.
