I have been in the service industry for over 30 years and i was totally impressed with the customer service experience i recently had with the play it again sports store in santa rosa i think it may have been the best retail service i have ever experienced and it was totally unnecessary because i only spent $50.00 but these guys went waaaaaaay above and beyond to make sure i was satsfied. i was buying some weights and mentioned that i was looking for a treadmill belt for an older treadmill i had purchased years ago. the owner got online for me (after i had allready purchased the weights) and went to 3 different online sources to hunt down the belt. when he came out of his office with all the info after about 15 minutes, i didnt understand why he would take time away to help someone with a treadmill that was not even purchased through them! he said that he simply wanted to help me solve my problem. he also gave me a phone number for someone who would install it. i was paying attention to his employees as well and they were extremely knowledgeable and as helpful as i have ever seen in retail. this store will floor you with their service, knowledge, and professionalism. shop these guys and you will be happy you did.

Was looking for a Bowflex Treadclimber and went to my local Play It Again Sports in Pleasanton. Though the salesman was very helpful, they did not have what I was looking for. He directed me to the store in Santa Rosa. I called and the salesman there told me the did indeed have a Treadclimber. The price was perfect but it was all the way in Santa Rosa. I was assured that if I purchased it, they would transfer it (no charge) to my local store. And to make the decision easier, I could return the machine up to a month from when I picked it up for any reason. Seemed like a no lose situtation, so I purchased the machine. Only took 5 days to get it up the Pleasanton store. Was exactly as described, worked perfectly and was less then what I expected to pay. Its refreshing to know there are still businesses out there that are willing to go out of their way to truely get their customers what they want. I cant count how many times I have been in a store and wanted to buy something specific but could not get a could not get a clerk to help me located it. I greatly appreciate the service I received at both Play It Again Sports locations and will definately shop there again.

These guys are awesome! Stopped in there looking for a wooden softball bat for an upcoming tournament, something that every other store in Santa Rosa DOESNT have. Not only did they have one, but they had a few to choose from. The associate Manny was very helpful with my questions and sold me the bat for a good price, as well as other accessories. Later that day, I went to the park and used the bat for just 5 minutes and wouldnt you know, that same day the bat broke! Very disappointed, I came back the next day and let them know the situation about the bat, they understood, apologized and they were so willing to fix it, they gave me a new replacement bat with no hassle. I am a very satisfied customer and will be back, these guys have alot of great prices on new and used sports equipment and have the good service to go with that! I recommend them to everyone!

I visited recently and was introduced to Manny Vivero. I had lots of questions about golf clubs and courses which he answered patiently and professionally. He took the time (even though there were other customers coming in) to work with me personally and answer all of my questions. He even took the time to give me a number of tips about my golf stance, grip and posture. The tips he provided produced immediate results. Ive been to the range a couple of times since then, and my striking of the ball has improved significantly. In addition, the cost of used clubs is very reasonable and an excellent bargain for those of us who are getting back into playing or are just starting out. If you have any questions about clubs or anything else to do about golf, Manny will be able to help you out.

Recently my wife called this shop in Santa Rosa, CA and spoke to the manager there about purchasing a Schwinn elliptical trainer for about $600.00. He told her that these machines were on order and that she could have one held for her if she gave him her credit card number. He led her to understand that her card would not be charged until she actually took delivery of the trainer. Well after about a week the manager did not call back to tell my wife that the machine had arrived and yet the charge has shown up on our American Express bill. This does not work for me at all. So, I canceled the request and I will stay away from all Play It Again Sports stores in the future.

My sister and I visited Play it Again Sports on Oct. 29, 2012. While looking at a bicycle an employee came up and waited on us. It was about noon and he introduced himself as the owner, Billy Briscoe. I was told the bicycle could be held for me for 72 hours, with my credit card #, while I made up my mind. On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10:00 I found that the store charged my bank account for the bike! I spoke to the owner and he changed his story and said I must have misunderstood; his word against mine. Not so, my sister was my witness. I should have read the previous Google reviews and would have been aware of this type of business practice!

What a great shopping experience! I was not expecting such great service and professionalism in this day and age when service and knowledge is tough to come by. i was blown away when i went in to shop for a home gym at not only what they carry, but also their ability to match any online price on new equipment. These guys also do warranty and repair work, deliveries and installs and they stand by what they sell. They even warranty used equipment! I had been told by many friends and associates about how great this local business is, but now i truely know for myself. I will be giving them my highest recommendation!

Just wanted to give a quick but tip top review to the guys at play it again sports. I went in to let them know that my elliptical was having a problem. I did not have my receipt and had gotten it over 6 months ago. They did not hesitate to not only fix the problem, they gave me a new receipt and registered the warranty for me!!!! Who gives that kind of service anymore. The owner Billy is as straight up a guy as you will find. I cannot say enough about how impressed i am with their knowledge, service and honesty. I will be getting the word out!

I purchase 2 kayaks. The transaction was seamless. Billy, the owner, honored the discount his manager granted me the day before, helped me load the 2 kayaks into my car with a great deal of effort. The staff was most helpful and instructive on the use of the kayaks. After using the kayak the next day, I was so pleased with it and with the service at Play it Again Sports, that I ordered another kayak from them today and will make the one-hour drive tomorrow to pick it up (and again, expect them to load it and tie it down to my car).
