12 21 11: FANTASTIC ART & DONUTZ!!! Just left the shop with a quad latte (yum), only 1 of the largest & most delicious PEANUT BUTTER MAPLE DONUTS ever - big enough for 3 to share - & of course some for breakfast, too! Been telling our daughter about this delightful treat for 13 years & finally got a chance to get her one. (Im pretty sure this is an SLO only creation, or maybe it only tastes this good in SLO?) The store itself is very inviting, Xcellent service, unbelievable selection of donuts @ 8 p.m. on a Wed. Night ... AND to top it all off ... the Most Amazing Artwork! Daughter & I noticed the art work canvases on the wall & were very anxious to investigate them further (with donut & coffee in hand), when husband pointed out the FANTASTIC MURAL painted on the wall above the door: "Living Off Borrowed Time, The Clock Ticks Faster" scrolled amidst fabulous time pieces. Fabulous! I highly recommend a field trip to SLO DONUT CO - ASAP!

This place is awful. THE WORST. (end Trump voice) I originally dropped in just to pick up one glazed donut as a snack. I am a tourist and had no idea what I was in for. That donut was mindblowingly amazing. So amazing in fact, I came back the next day and loaded up with 7 more donuts and I ate them all. 8 DONUTS IN TOTAL. Do you know how much time I had to spend in the gym when I got back home? Do you know how much I had to struggle to get my diet back under control? Lets just say I hated myself for days after, more than enough to compensate for the indescribable love I gained for the creativity that SLOCO staff puts into their menu. Ten out of ten, would come back and ruin my diet again. (The staff are friendly too!)

As a college student I study here almost daily. Their donuts are top notch and generally pretty fresh. Plenty of caffeine options to fuel your day as well. It can get very crowded on weekdays which can quickly fill up the somewhat limited seating and severely slow down the wifi, sometimes to an unusable speed. Hopefully they invest in a faster connection soon. Also, if youre headed here from 6:00pm - 10:00pm be ready to not find a spot to sit. Overall though, fantastic place to study and be productive if youve got a break in between classes or want to pull an all-nighter considering its a 24 hour establishment.

Interesting doughnut flavors, pretty good coffee, lots of room to sit and hang out. Its a very collegey place, and the employees all seem to be college students. I think theres love music here sometimes. Id have the piña colada doughnut again, the maple bacon bar is nice to try, but I wont get another. Churro bites are good and give you the enjoyment of a churro without having to eat a whole one. All in all its a nice place and the doughnut quality for even plain glazed is well above the standard doughnut places found in the area.

Decent donuts, less greasy than most, and the dough seems less sugary, which is wonderful. The people are friendly, but it really is catering to the high school/college kid crowd and is often packed with kids hanging out. I wish I had this place when I went to school here! Coffee and teas are all very good, too. Prices are a bit high, but they are just capturing their market. Smart. Most definitely worth a visit, especially if youre a late teen/young twenty-something. Old farts can just get their stuff to go! ;-)

Great spot with a great variety of donuts. Full around finals and midterm season, especially because they are open 24/7. Great option for vegan donuts! They also have gluten-free donuts if you have an intolerance, but (a) I have heard that they arent the best, and (b) many times they are out of GF. Other than that, the variety is great! Higher prices than most places though ($2.50-$3.00), but its for a specialty donut (I dont mind paying a bit extra every now and then for a drumstick donut).

Inconsistent quality, incredibly overpriced - even when I am not charged double (which has happened at least 3 times that Ive caught.) The staff couldnt care less about helping customers unless its to flirt or give their friends free donuts. (Oh, wait, I guess THATS why Im being charged double.) But in spite of all that, I keep going back for their red bean paste filled donut. There must be crack in those little squares, because I am hopelessly addicted to them.

San Luis Obispo Donut Company This place is relatively quiet in terms of chatter. A nice study spot when not crowded and they have good donuts! A fresh donut is on a whole nother level. Theyre just about to expand too so there will be even more room. The staff is really friendly. My one complaint is that they have these cake balls called Amazeballs and Ive only seen them maybe twice. Theyre amazing (ha!) and I wish they would make them more often!

The speciality donuts were extremely disappointing. tried the lavender and it tasted like how Dr bronners soap smells. The vegan donuts tasted like health food stores idea of dessert, but with tiny little more sugar, Im eating a donut give me unhealthy. Coffee was good and the regular chocolate donut was good. Tried to buy vegan donuts the night before and they were out and didnt even mention if they were making more. Shocked this is rated well.

Youre paying for ambiance! The donuts are reminiscent of Voodoo Donuts in Portland. My big stiff is theyre expensive for what you get... youre paying for the upscale space and not only for the donuts. Although the donuts are very good here Check out Sunshine for cheaper donuts that do the classics just as well if not better (provided Sunshine doesnt have as diverse of a menu).

We got a maple bar and buttermilk, both of which were excellent! Then we got the chocolate peanut butter glazed- huge and rich! It was warm and so very tasty. Finally, we tried the azuki which was a little less sweet and different from the normal donut but still so delicious. Loved the variety and unique donuts to choose from. Cant wait to go back!

The diversity of donuts served at SLO Do Co is astounding, and I have yet to find one that is not delicious. They taste just as good one or two days later too, so you can stock up as much as you want. Except that you wont have to, because theyre open all the time! Great business model for a college town, and located decently close to Cal Poly.

Friendly employees and fantastic donuts, nothing compares. The shop has a nice aesthetic and I believe they are expanding soon to have a larger seating area. Open 24 hours which is great for students and late night cravings. Not the biggest fan of their coffee but they offer a full espresso bar which is much more than most donut places.

This is a fun and hip kind of place. Always hopping with free wifi and a great family and student atmosphere. They have good donuts and make some pretty cool donuts. Some people claim voo doo donuts kind of donuts. I have been to voo doo, I would disagree... but then again today they had some weird doll on a maple bar so...
