Stumbled upon this gem while doing some work in San Jose. Im from SF and its always nice to get out of the city and explore other mom & pop coffee shops. Not wanting to walk too far from where I was, the hustle and bustle of all the people further down 2nd street (not to mention the lack of parking) was not ideal but I headed that way anyway. As I was walking I saw Divine Grind - with 1 customer. Normally I never know what to expect, but it was early, and I needed coffee, and the place looked CLEAN - something I always notice first. As soon as I ordered, the lady (Im sorry I didnt catch your name) warmed the delicious almond croissant up for me and brought it to my table. She was extremely sweet and so was the gentleman working. Another thing to note is that though it was empty, people kept coming in every few minutes to grab something to-go. A majority of these people were obviously regulars and had grown accustomed to this place. Plus its JUST on the outskirts of market, totally walkable. I almost dont want to draw more attention so it wont be more busy, but these guys deserve it! All in all - great service, friendly experience. Ill definitely be going back and recommend it to everyone.

I came there coz of good reviews. Cant understand who leaves them. I was so disappoint. Design inside looks so pure, the stuff was friendly but I had filling she will fall asleep next min when I leave this place. And the most important part: COFFEE was just terrible, strong, bitter, milk in my cappuccino was extreme hot.

Because of its location, this place is hardly ever crowded. I get my coffee fast and its better than Starbucks and Petes! They have pre-made danishes and breakfast sandwiches.

Nice little neighborhood cafe. I stop by during my morning walks. Some good breakfast goodies are available (pastries, burritos, etc).
