I almost hate to talk this place up as a good location to shop, because then everyone will show up here. Yet I have to be honest its got a great selection. I believe its because it has so many clothes in 1 area. The furniture and bags election is usually pretty bad but for clothes and shoes this place is awesome. They also have a large selection of Halloween items and seasonal racks such as ugly Christmas sweaters. The one thing I would improve would be store layout because currently the way they have the shoe rack setup you cant walk around them... But these things do change and stores frequently. And of course you end up with the standard crazy folk who come into Goodwill sometimes especially since this one is so close to Market Street.

This Goodwill has a lot going on - theres a lot of shoppers and that makes it more exciting. I think theres a lot of cool things going on in the Goodwill - maybe suits are in high demand and buyers make deals with the suppliers and the next thing you know pancakes start flying through the air and youll have to buy sunglasses so syrup doesnt get all over you! Just kidding, four stars and missing the fifth because well, I like strawberries on my pancakes and they didnt have any in stock.

Great place to buy a vehicle. I always thought when people donate thier cars it would probably be worthless. I was wrong I brought a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse with only 69000 miles at a steal of a price. They were very friendly, honest, and kind,(as you can expect from a charity est.) They sometimes have a very interesting selection with an interesting story of why it was donated. Definately worth a look next time you donate your old clothes.

I went to donate somethings to the center today around 2:40 pm on Dec 23rd in Noe Valley (24th st). The guy at the trailer was very rude and yelled at me. I was there to donate stuff and was quite shocked by the way he treated me. I asked for his managers # and he said it is on the receipt and he didnt care that I spoke with his manager. It was a very unpleasant experience. Goodwill should be able to hire corteous people in this economy.

The largest Goodwill I have ever been to. Huge selection. Prices are reasonable for a Goodwill. Only con - parking. Today is Sunday so free street parking. Can see any other day, it can be tough to find street parking. Like any thrift store, you have to be willing to hunt, dig, and go through rack after rack. One of my Goodwill finds today was this $5.49 100% silk Marc by Marc Jacobs blue hearts and red sleeveless top.

There are decent items in this place I like buying old dishes , pots and pans I scored a quality skillet hardly used that is great after oiling it again and baking it I find clothes that are nearly new , if they have no holes or stains they are good clothing I am one of those video tape nuts I bought a couple hundred old great movies one buck each through the years I have bought plenty here .

For the flagship Goodwill store in San Francisco, this location is surprisingly hit or miss. It is fairly well organized, despite its size, but it can be remarkably hard to find what youre looking for. If youre looking for anything beyond basics, then youre going to have a hunt on your hands. Weve had our best luck when we just showed up to browse.

Grungy clothing that has been DONATED by the kind people in your community is then put on hangers and SOLD right back to people in the community at a ridiculous price. FYI; if you are wondering where all the nice donations go to then checkout Goodwill in the Portola district . Get that Burberry raincoat for $80 bucks and go home happy!

SFs flagship Goodwill. Has one of the largest furniture and art selections of the thrift stores in town, with pretty good selection and turnover. Theyre also happy to help you bring the furniture to the door, and keep it around for you to pick up later, which some places can be weird about.

Kindof a zoo. Attitude like they are doing you a favor by taking your stuff even though its easier and quicker to goto the dump. I just hope they actually do some good. They certainly dont maximize value of donations by throwing quality goods into dumpster size boxes piled with crap.

Overall this location is unsafe. I have been a victim of hate crimes, locking my bike up outside (2in 1day). Inside the store is a lot of homeless people shopping, they have a large store with a lot in it. I recommend pepper spray to be able to enjoy you experience here.

Everything is organized by gender, while the sizing of clothing is all over the place, some attempt to organize by colour has been attempted but fails because clothing is disorganized. Which is why the are mounds or lots of racks of clothes that just sits there.

Found a striped polo Ralph Lauren tee, a cream Nautica crewneck, and a baby blue/white/beige Banana Republic button up all for $18! Service was friendly but they made sure customers would take 10 minutes in the dressing room.

Very fast experience to drop off! I had 6 full bags and it took less that 10 minutes from start to finish! Very friendly people who work at the donation area! I did not go in, so this review is only for the donation drop-off.

The only Goodwill Ive seen with a guard at the front door. This Goodwill has a good selection but EVERYTHING is misfiled so discovering things is hard. Have lots of time on your hands.

Large selection of quality goods. Customer service isnt all that great and its near impossible to get a basket. Those things aside, the value for your dollar makes it up.

Parking in the area can be a challenge. Sad to hear this location is now slated to close in Aug sometime (although its still a few months longer than originally planned)

This is the largest Goodwill in the city. Customer service here needs a little work. Large sections for women, household item and a computer repair and purchase dept.

One of the biggest location Ive ever seen for a Goodwill. The place looks and smells clean. Although I was only browsing, everything seemed to be priced reasonably.

This is a large resell location and has a large selection of gently used items. The inventory changes often so visiting often can yield different results each time.

Every thing is easy to find, and in pretty good condition. The staff are fairly open and with you for a thrift store. I left feeling better with my purchases.

I have been to many Goodwills in many big cities. This store is HUGE. Lots of stuff. I even found-and bought-an IRON and IRONING BOARD! ($13 for both ;)

The neighborhood area is always a mess because of the Goodwill store. The store seems expensive compared to satellite stores. Although, worth a visit.
