My husband and I were in San Diego for our wedding and we walked by this store and saw a really cool watch. This watch was by no means an expensive piece of jewelry however we expected it to last more than 1 wear. When we purchased it we had the face put on a different band because the one that was on it wouldnt open correctly. So she replaced the face and we left. We got back to bakersfield and realized the stupid cover on the face would click shut and it kept swinging open and had cracked the glass. I called them and tried to get a new one or at least just switch the faces out and she told me they wouldnt but they would give me a discount on a new one.... I did not want a discount on another shady crafted watch, i wanted mine fixed or a refund. They refused. This store is not concerned with returning customers. They are knowingly selling crap jewelry and just want you to get out the door. They took my money and could have cared less if the product they sold worked or not. I just want to warn anyone visiting San Diego. Dont go here.

Can you please respond to this message? I have had many good experiences with this store, but a family member left a sentimental ring for repair, which will have no value to anyone else. We would please like to get it back after your abrupt store closure. Thank you!

American Jewelers is supposed to open today, Monday, but when we went by, they are closed. I tried calling and no answer. I wonder if they are still in business.

This was a great little jeweler store, all kind of unique things in there, I would recommend that you bring a friend and shop here.I give it a five star rating.

I also left a pearl necklace here and the place completely shut down and took it with them. Has anybody been able to track these guys down?
