This is the cleanest comic store I have ever been too! Me and my husband both love comics. We had originally went to another comic book store (Which we will NEVER go back to) earlier in the night to look for gold, silver and modern comics. My husband prefers gold and silver while I love the modern age. The store is HUGE! and had a wide variety of modern comics (every comic is bagged and boarded HUGE deal with me especially since I collect), even variants i have yet to find at other stores in the area. They also have a ton of TPBs and a good stock of back issues. Unfortunately for my husband they had only a half of a box of gold/silver age (comes from owners personal collection). What I liked most about this place is the layout, on one side they have the huge stock of books and through the wide opening they have the game tables. I dont play but the most irritating thing about a comic store is generally the tables are center in the room while you are shopping for comics people are screaming and yelling. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and have no problem answering all of your questions. I will definitely be back and be a long term customer!!!

First I must say. customer service here is the best there is. Chris, the store owner, is a very friendly guy and its easy to talk to him. Ive known him every since I started playing with Pokemon cards. Through all those years, he has remembered me through all of my visits and a lot of others as well. Whenever someone walks into his store, he usually greets the customers on a first name basis. If he does not know your name, he will introduce himself and get to know you. Almost all the time, they have the comics you are looking for. If they do not carry it, they will try to order it and see if they can get it for you. If they cant order it, they point you in the direction to the closest comic shop that has it. Metropolis has been my favorite comic shop to date and dont plan on putting my savers at any other store besides this one!

Metropolis Comix is not your average comic store. They go above and beyond every which way imaginable. As a consumer youre probably thinking about a few things: good selection, welcoming atmosphere, customer service and price. And trust me when they blow all of those things out of the park!!! Chris, his partner, and his staff have been so supportive of players and consumers alike from the very beginning. This is Sacramentos premier spot for competitive card games, comic books and collectibles, and it beats out many of NorCals other popular spots just by sheer awesomeness alone. So when youre free and are itching to try out that new set or grab that new comic book, take a tour at this place and I guarantee you wont regret it. They treat you here like family.

This shop is the Yugioh haven. The owner Chris and his co-workers Matt and Jim are awesome guys, very friendly, open to new comers. This shop hosts Yugioh tournaments almost everyday and other different card tourneys throughout the week and evening Yugioh tournaments Friday and Saturday nights that are really fun and there are always groups of duelists there regardless of the time of day! If you like Yugioh, This is the spot for you, so get your game on and go to Metropolis Comix!

I wish I could give this store a better star rating. The staff is the best hands down. And Chris the owner is the most helpful and amazing shop owner. I buy all my regular comics here and he mails them to me. I often even travel out of my way for this shop. The store itself is so modern its reminiscent of a night club. Its always a fresh smell in store also regardless of how many people are there.

The staff is helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is family friendly, they never seem upset to see my young kids. They have a great selection and are willing to help you get things they dont have in stock. Theyre open all the time and are always willing to talk and be friendly even if you dont want to buy anything. Its a comfortable shop to be in with the whole family.

This is a great locally owned comic book shop. They always have tables set up and people playing Magic and the owners and employees are always so incredibly knowledgeable. They can talk to pretty much any comic book story line for hours. Amazing selection too and decent prices. This is by far the best comic book shop in town.

whent hoping to finally get started playing magic and the guy didnt know anything about magic and didnt have ANY decks i could get. just some 30$ fat packs and booster packs and he didnt even know if boosters would have mana in them or not so i ended up buying 4 booster packs but still.. waste of time

The best comic book store in Sacramento hands down. Chris has always shown me VIP customer service from the day he opened doors. Back order old issue, no problem. Personal email I think youd like this read. And employs the youth of the city keeping them productive and offering work experience.

When you walk into this place, you feel like youve actually walked into a comic book. VIP list, A-1 customer service, game fuel snacks, action figues and rare collectables. I mean I could go on and on. This is hands down the best comic book store in northern cali.

Cathair Apocalypse

An AWESOME place for gaming. Open late during the week, with tons of tables, cards and toys. The staff really cares about growing the comics audience and welcomes readers of all ages. They support indie creators and YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!

The owner sets the tone for the place. It is fun, carefree type of place. Great to find what you need and to strike up conversations with employees that are passionate about what they are selling and not just clerks collecting a paycheck.

On Free Comic Book Day they had a 75% off sale on all t-shirts. Even with the crowd there were a ton to pick from. Its not just comics, there are statues, card games, Funko Pop figures and clothes!

Poor inventory of MTG singles and very poor pricing. They have a card in the case marked at 600% TCG average. Rediculous. Im not much into other card games or comics so I cant comment on that.
