I like the book selection. The store is located downtown where I work and I can easily walk to it. Parking is difficult. The used books are good quality and well maintained, no missing pages or strange substances. I was looking for a particular type of murder mystery. The clerk knew where the books are shelved and walked over to the shelf with me to show me the location. They accept cash and credit cards. There are chairs for sitting and reading before buying.

Seems very much like a used bookstore - with DVDs even. Prices were low. They buy used books or give you in-store credit. Amazingly, they have titles that I like, and they restock fairly constantly. Employees appeared to know where everything was - I did not ask about beer. Ive been back many times, plan to visit regularly.

A downright killer place to go for books! Not only is the layout open and encouraging to perusing, lightly looking, and lounging, but I could find any book that I wanted in there. And when I couldnt find a particular book, an awesome employee found me to help me locate it.

Dont go here if youre hoping for polite, professional staff. Expect passive aggressiveness. I used to go here frequently to buy used paperbacks until I was insulted by staff for buying a cheap paperback, which everyone at Beers Books is there to buy.

Liked: Selection. Disliked: Service. The selection of books is definitely eclectic. The service is terrible. The employees tend to be lazy and condescending to the customers. The owner is a jerk. The prices are a bit on the high side.

Cool hangout place, visit here frequently when Im bored w my friends. Books for everyone here. Awesome postcards and theyre super cheap. Definitely worth a visit if you want to get back into reading.

I think this must be the largest secondhand bookstore in Sacramento. They have a good and interesting selection, and the prices are fair. They also have special deals on various days.
