From the outside, this place doesnt look like much, but the cafe food is INCREDIBLE. I just wolfed down a hefty, tasty beef shawarma sandwich. It was slathered a delicious homemade yogurt sauce, hummus, tomatoes, pickled peppers, onion and lettuce. And then, there is the beef itself: tender, interestingly and wonderfully seasoned, and plentiful. This was a tastebuds wake-up call, a refreshing change from standard American fare. Trust me- the food is worth the lack of ambiance. Go early- at 6:45 they were out of chicken shawarma. When they are out, they are out. (But they seem to have a steady supply of kabobs on the grill for $2 a pop.)

Let me preface by stating that the owners of this place have an extremely disorganized store, which is a testament to their carelessness toward the customers needs. The products are scattered higgledy-piggledy, and it is enormously difficult to find a desirable item. This situation has been going on for a long time, and most certainly, the owners sloppiness has aggravated it. What is worse is that the air-conditioner is turned off even when the temperature is 109 degrees Fahrenheit! However, the meat department is fantastic because of its fresh lamb, etc., so I suggest you pay just pay a visit there.

This is quite possibly the best falafel in Sacramento, which might sound like the best sushi in Pittsburgh. However, the falafel is firm without being burnt, the sauce is a clever mustard mix, the veggies are great, and the flatbread, baked a few feet from where you buy your sandwich, is strong enough to hold up and not disintegrate when you eat, yet so soft that youll think you got away with something by eating it. My son had the beef shwaa sandwich and had a similar wow of a reaction to it. You can also get great deserts here and lots of goodies in the store itself. A must return for me.

Bread( Samon) is great, soft and super delicious you can find a lot if ME products here. Meat is also great and super tasty when cooked, however they do need to enhance their butcher section with more varieties and better presentation to make it easier for customers with specific taste and desires. you wont be finding any help if you need it as they are too busy on the phones or talking with themselves to notice, apart from that i would recommend it

This cafe is absolutely wonderful!!! I love their hummus the best..they make it fresh every day and I will never buy another hummus from the store again... its that good!! Their gelato is soooo yummi.. my favorite is the Mocha Fudge... to die for!! All their food is fresh and so is the market food!!! I love this place... its my favorite lunch place and often I stop by to get something to bring home as well. Love Love Love it!!

Definitely felt like I was a bother to them, I always get a weird vibe, kinda rude. Last time I was in there I went to order food and the guy said the grill closes at 6:00pm so they are not cooking food anymore, It was 5:30pm. Gave 1 stars because the food is good but most likely will not be going back.

The fresh bread is delicious but most of the comments are correct about the service. They are rude to many people but it is only the Deli men. The woman who runs the store is delightful. The store is very hit an miss in the butcher area and the produce but we go back time and time again for the bread.

This place is amazing! The Oysters were amazing! Order the Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and garlic shrimp all to die for! The drinks are spot on! Service was great! Tracy was awesome! Great restaurant! One of my favorite meals of all time!
