Scrumptious, savory, sapid, sumptuous, sweet, soft, sugary, who knows what the S stands for. But K stands for King, thats for sure. Just a quick update to my review: Second time coming to SK after so long, and its great to know that the donuts are still the best Ive ever had. I confirmed it this time because I tasted their apple fritters. Yes, apple fritters. I strongly believe that you can judge a donut shop NOT by its variety of donuts or by the friendliness of the staff (although they contribute), but simply by its apple fritters. Long story short, I practically grew up on apple fritters. These cinnamon-y sweet plumps of chopped apples and fluffy dough were heaven, but most places didnt get it right. Surprisingly, most places forget to emphasize the APPLES. Sure, the cinnamon sugar is important, and sure the glaze elevates the treat, but if I dont bite into little chunks of apple every other bite or so, then youve failed. Anyway, I got the apple fritter this time, and it didnt let down. SK never ceases to amaze. A word about the other donuts: SKronut: flaky and heavy and as flavorful as they can be. I usually opt for the simpler variety without all the creams, custards, nutella and strawberries, etc. Just a nice cinnamon or glazed will do for me. Strawberry Cake Donut: Texture was great - thick and cakey as it should be. Flavor, however, seemed a little on the artificial side. Probably wont be getting any of the flavored cake holes again. I hope this isnt for a limited time, because the nutella walnut donuts were fantastic. Its not completely doused in nutella, but enough is put on to appreciate the chocolate flavor with the walnut crumble. Very likely to get again! Buttermilk, Plain Glazed, and Raspberry Jelly Donuts - all superb

Whether its because you are getting home late from work at 9 pm and are in dire need of a delicious snack, waking up and need to refuel in order to get ahead for the day, have the 2 am munchies, or just want a quick lunch bite, this 24 Hour Donuts and Crossaint safe-haven has you covered at all hours (literally) for all your deepest yearnings (sugar). Right on W 3rd blocks away from awesome shopping at The Grove and on fairfax or by hopping on the 16, 17, 217 bus from SK headed the other direction, one is a quick ride to Koreatown, Echo Park, and then Downtown. This spot is pretty much a very short walk for all Miracle Mile residents but I have the feeling it is an off-the beaten path and lesser known place since it sits in a modest outdoor mall. The stuff here is delicious and I got myself a bangin egg and cheese croissant with a nice sweet coffee for under $6. Between here and Einstein Bros bagels I will never have to worry about finding an affordable breakfast treat. What this place is really known for is donuts and they have plentiful choices which come in a rainbow of chocolately, cereal topped, packed with filling, oozing with goodness, etc. etc. colors and tastes. SK functions like more of a take out counter, however, minimal seating is offered which is nice to know!

Addiction.... Of the worst kind. I find myself waking up at night itching for one of those glazed cronuts. The itching is either from the addiction or the bedbugs from all the crumbs leftover from eating red velvet donuts in bed right before I go to sleep, not sure. Its dark...but not too dark because Im afraid of the dark so my Nemo night light glows orange in my room. I crawl to grab my phone and surf for Yelp photos of those delicious cronut holes and applied fritters. Wish my phone was a scratch and smell or better yet, Scratch and Lick! Intervention I need a secret closet so I can hoard all of the old donut boxes so I can open and smell the amazing sweet donut crumbs still covered in icing. Just like Jimmy Johns offers Free Smells...I could just open the closet and get my free sniffs. Soon Ill get a phone call from my dad telling me to meet him at a Holiday Inn conference room and then the whole family will be there to address my problem of addiction to these delish donuts.

Came here for the Cronut, there was a good amount of people going in and out, so that was a good sign. I got a Cronut, and a Bacon Donut. Cash only for purchases under $10.... slightly annoying, so beware. The parking lot is tiny, holds about 8 cars if that, there is street parking so that isnt so bad. Back to the food, the price was a little much for a donut, a little over $6 for the two that I got. They are of regular size (see photos). Had the cronut first, wasnt impressed, it was like a glazed donut but super crunchy. Had the Bacon donut and was super excited to find out the icing is some type of coffee, not maple. And then I stopped eating it. End of story, wouldnt really feel the need to drive here and deal with parking to pay that much for a donut that was subpar unfortunately.

As Australians visiting America, we had to do the stereotypical thing and eat donuts (sorry if I offend anyone). But, I dont want to waste calories eating just any donuts, so after a quick bit of Googling I developed my own Big 5 of the donut Kingdom (Randys, Bobs, Kettle Glazed, The Donut Man and SKs). After trying a variety of versions at each place, including any house speciality (my order always had a glazed raised), the verdict was in. SKs is King - the raised donuts were so incredibly light, it was almost as if I was eating a cloud. Im so glad I ate in, because I immediately ordered more to go (and being this good, they were definitely not wasted calories). Try the others if you want (you wont be disappointed), but if you want the best, go for a run, and then go to SK.

Woah, yeah this place is awesome. Along with Bobs Coffee and Donuts in the Farmers Market, these are the best donuts I have pretty much had in LA. I think I like Bobs more just for their unholy maple donut, but really this place is a better all around donut spot. I know it sounds boring, but the straight up glazed donut and plain glazed skrcronut were the best we had of many, many donuts here. They were so soft, flavorful, and not too sweet. They also have a ton of cake donuts here as well as countless variations on the yeast and skronut varieties. I know the donut scene in LA is changing right now, but I hope there is always a place for the OG donuts that this place is pumping out. LA people, you are so lucky to have this joint in your backyard.

Ive been on a donut craze, so I finally stopped here with a friend during a donut crawl in LA. I dont have too much to say, as I only got a few things - a glazed raised donut, donut holes, and a croissant donut. I didnt eat the croissant donut myself so Im not sure how that was, but the glazed donut and donut holes were one of the best donuts Ive actually had in my entire life. It was airy, light, fluffy, but not greasy and still chewy enough to give it a slight texture. Basically like eating a fresh donut, but it wasnt even right out of the fryer or anything! They dont have as much variety as other donut places, like california donuts, but I dont think they need do. They do basics, and theyre excel at it. Will be back when I can!
