Do not go here. There are incredibly old products all over the walls on display (for sale?) and Mr. Benjamin is a straight con-artist. I had a broken phone that i wanted to recover data from before sending it in for insurance replacement. Ben urged me to come in that day. When i did he said he could get all the data off it as hes done it before. (In any other service business, you pay once service has been rendered. Not here. This guy charges you $65 up front.) Thats fine, i thought. I can handle $65 to recover this data. Then he calls back a few days later and tells me the phone is too damaged (understandable) and he wants to order a part for $160, if i can "just give [him] authorization to continue". I told him no way, Im not sure its worth it, but let me think on it and ill call you back. I never called back and went in several days later to pick up the phone. When i do, he cant find the phone, nor the invoice, and off-handedly says i owe him an additional $160, and if i want to recover the data its probably going to be another few hundred. (For a samsung galaxy s blaze?) I told him hes out of his mind, that i dont owe him anything. I was this close to decking him in his stupid, scheming, persian face. Luckily, my gf got it back the next day without me, and without a fight, or paying anything else. All the other negative reviews are true. I wish id read them before going here. (And I can bet you that he has created other email addresses and wrote the other positive reviews for himself. Check out the yelp reviews.. And look at that bs excuse of a website trying to cover up this illegitimate scheme.) This was a waste of time, money, and energy. I doubt he even opened up the phone, nor even has any computer repair credentials. He runs a straight bodega, the store is shady, and i highly advise that no one else loses their money on this scam artist. Felt like a scam, looked like a scam, should have known it was a scam. Especially since he/they dont accept credit cards (only things that clear quickly, like debit and cash, so theres no arbitration).

The (my) hp tx2000 has an engineering level system design problem at the component / motherboard level where the video chip overheats and causes breaks in motherboard circuit soldering eventually resulting in a black screen-as occurred on my computer. The HP tx2000 is a costly but powerful smaller sized laptop, referred to by HP as a notebook; one having excellent graphics capability, digitizer, 64 bit addressing, four GB of memory, etc. I have a computer systems background and know how to disassemble and replace or upgrade computer components, which is the path most repair shops recommend, at a substantial cost, to solve this problem, i.e. replace the video chip / motherboard; or they advised disposing of the computer. The problem with the first approach is that the replacement components will in all substantial likelihood produce the same malfunction at some time in the future. HP never modified their video chip motherboard design for this computer, even after they were repeatedly advised about it, and became aware of, their faulty design problem. After checking with at least 15 computer repair shops in the greater LA area, I only found three that would attempt repairing the circuit soldering on the mother board along with replacing the video chip, if necessary. Circuit soldering is not a skill that I have or one that is easily found. Pro Computers cost to re-solder the defective circuits on my tx2000 was substantially less than that quoted by the others that I found willing to attempt the work. I am not certain whether they rely on numerical control equipment for the soldering or a very skilled employee, but either is a valuable asset and produced successful results.

Dishonest. Took my Toshiba to them a year back b/c it was not booting up. Four visits and two misdiagnosis later, it was finally running. Told me that it had a blown resistor on the motherboard. Charged me $220. I thought that was excessive for a replacement resistor on a motherboard. They also stole my charger and stole one of my memory sticks and replaced it with some cheap generic brand. One year later, it is displaying the same exact symptoms. Go to him and ask him to just verify the problem for me. Thats all I want. He wouldnt do it and despite promising me no diagnostic fee ($65) for this particular laptop in the future, he still wanted to charge me and scare me into being prepared to pay big bucks for a repair. Dont let Benjamin sweet talk you or sucker you into a repair or service. WORST PART: Got fed up with these guys and took it elsewhere for a second opinion. They check my laptop and turns out there is no evidence of any resistor or soldering repair on the motherboard. He tells me that sometimes a motherboard can be "jumpstarted" (look it up, its true). So I got my stuff stolen from me, lied to, and cheated into a $220 repair for a simple jumpstart. Beware: expensive, shady, dishonest.

Pro Computer have been brilliant from day one. I was looking for an IT specialist to help me expand my current network and provide me with a server and 24 hour 7 days a week support. I found Pro Computer on google and straight away very impressed with their website, services and business aim. I contacted Pro Computer and spoke to Ben who was really great and I explained I am a complete novice and need help in the most simplest way possible. Ben was very understanding and kept below my budget which is even better. They supplied me with the right equipment and offered me excellent support services. My network was up and running in one weekend and its always active and never shows any issues. I can always rely on Pro Computer with their professional friendly engineers. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone looking for friendly inexpensive IT support. Thank you very much Pro Computer!

I just wanted my hard drive reformatted, which they guaranteed me would take a couple of days. It ended up taking 2 weeks! I would call every day and go in there to politely speak to them that I need my computer for school. They put your computer behind bars literally. They lock it in there and wont let you touch it... Im not even kidding, theyre just out there to get your money. I learned in the end that the technician had not even seen my laptop.... anyways they wanted to charge me nearly 200 dollars, and only a long argument in front of their customers made them charge me less... they had to be embarrassed to come to their senses. Please if you care about your computer or your money go somewhere else... really. Im using some store I forgot the name of but its near Wilshire and Berkeley. Oh and My ethernet port never worked after that.... basically it was a nightmare.

I dont know why the people down below are saying shady.... i took my computer which had had a brown out (which means that not enough electricity had reached it because of faulty power in my apt) to at least 10 other computer repair outlets and recovery centers. they all wanted to charge me 2k plus, which i thought was ridiculous. when i asked ben who is the manager (persian guy) if he could help, he most certainly did. i explained to him my situation and not only did he cut me a break and charge me 375 dollars to recover EVERYTHING on my pc, but i didnt have to send it off for weeks on end, and it was ready almost the next day. he may seem a little odd, but he is actually a very straight forward guy. dont listen to the people who gave him unfair reviews.
