Edit* - In response to the owner I have just noticed your response. NO Im not a competitor. Im a UCLA undergraduate psycho biology student who (now) knows this business much better then others and I am giving everybody an honest review about my experience. I had my phone fixed about 4 months ago but never bothered to write this review until today where my phone is at the end of its life, supported only barely by its lifeline connected into an outlet I came in and got an estimate for a cracked iphone 5s screen, was told it would take about 20 minutes. Ended up waiting a total of 1.5 hours sitting in their office watching them waist time. -Slow service. I also asked them if they could check the iphone camera as it was a bit unclear during its usage. "Yah, I can go ahead and fix that for you." As nice as this sounded, I would prefer to be notified of an additional charge next time. - Hidden Fees. I came back a few weeks later because my new "original manufacture" screen was performing poorly. Functions would not read touch and phone would regularly freeze. Just a side note, I also noticed that there were these strange vertical and horizontal parallel lines that were just faintly visible along the iphone screen(which are not present in the original phone). I have good reason to believe that I was not given the screen I originally paid, rather a cheap substitute. - Dishonest. Luckily I was able to comeback and have the screen replaced with a screen that functioned much better at no cost - Waisted time Iphone camera however was completely untouched and unfixed. I was secretly charged an additional fee to "clean/replace/ect" the iphone selfie camera which was not fixed. Camera was still foggy which produced unclear images. - Dishonest or incompetent. Second Iphone screen became unstable and unusable and the iphone was now giving me electric shocks. It was clear that a small electric current was constantly being leaked because the battery life drastically decreased, my phone would heat up within 5 minutes of use, and because of occasional electric discharges. - Incompetent Because of these new electric discharges and the iPhone screens eventual retardation, I had to fix the phone overseas in Guam, where I finally replaced the screen for a 3rd time, only to hear from the technicians that the reasons why I was experiencing such electric currents was because my phone was actually missing an important insulating piece within my phone. Whether this was carelessly misplaced during its fix, or crookedly taken due to my naive nature, it matters not. I give this shop the lowest rating I can and I highly advise all other UCLA students to go to Ackermans mac shop. They will actually repair your phones free of charge(if you buy the replacements). Edit* If your first reaction is to cover up and erase my review, as you did with the other negative reviews(yes there were), then this is just another depiction of your business motto. Rather then apologizing and trying to fix the problem, you point your fingers elsewhere and lie.

Following an unpleasant exchange where I was almost jipped $20 extra for an iPhone charger at "image wireless" or "cell phone repair," I walked into Group Micro to receive one of the best electronics customer service experiences Ive ever had. Sevada greeted us warmly and immediately went to work finding and describing their selection of MacBook and iPhone chargers (I was looking for one of each). He informed us of the downsides to cheaper knock-off chargers with mismatched wattage and showed me a selection of products ranging in price and quality. Unlike the "cell phone repair" store further up the street, Sevada made no attempt to impress upon me any particular product. In fact, after I selected my chargers, he gave me the MacBook extension cord *and* the iPhone usb DC adapter for FREE! My four products totaled just $80 including tax ($60 student discount MacBook charger, $20 student discount iPhone charger, and free extension+adapter). I thanked him profusely and he flashed us a hearty smile and waved goodbye. This was undoubtedly one of the best electronics purchases Ive ever experienced, especially given the oft pseudo-scam feeling of electronics sellers - and all thanks to Sevada! Go Sevada!

Please note that I initially placed this review last week: Horrible place. Brought my iPad in to repair a cracked screen. They repaired this but they put a virus on my iPad. Also for some reason I had to reset my apple passwords. I wondered why I brought the iPad in with a drained battery and it was returned nearly fully charged. I suspect they tampered with the iPad thinking I would return it for additional unnecessary repairs. I will never return here. Neither should you. Pay more and go to the Apple Store. At least you wont be cheated. Shortly after posting this scathing(!) review, the store owner/manager Sevada contacted me directly, apologized profusely for any problems, and offered to fix my ipad. Turns out that there was no virus. Rather, the new touchscreen that was installed by Group Micro was defective (they said its a very rare occurrence). They reinstalled a new ipad screen within two hours and even through in a free screen protector. It was clear that once they knew I was unhappy, they were very determined to fix the situation. If you ever have any difficulties, speak with Sevada promptly and he will fix the situation. Review changed from 1 to 4 stars. Thanks!

I took my MacBook in because it wasnt turning on. The technicians opened it up to find the problem. They discovered that a liquid had breached the computer and was the cause of the charging problem. I couldnt afford to fix it in apple store with their crazy prices. However, I screwed up big time because I didnt read the repair contract carefully enough to see that it required me to pay $60+ regardless of whether or not I requested additional repairs. It was an honest oversight and I protested despite being caught dead to rights. Group Micro Could Fix my mac and they also Recover all my data from my hard drive . That was amazing i didnt need to go somewhere else for Data Recovery . They did A to Z of my repair . Repaired my Mac, Recovered the data in amazing price . Group Micro is the most amazing place to go for all apple product repair . iPhone , iPad , iMac , + Data recovery all under one roof...

I have an iPhone 6 that obtained water damage and I needed to recover some data on my phone. I first went to the store at UCLA and they were totally useless and they told me they dont deal with iPhone 6. I searched around the LA area and found Group micro. I called in to check if they would get the data off of my iPhone 6 and they were very nice as well as answered all of my questions that I asked. I then visited Group Micro and I met Sevada and his team, very amazing people and was amazed that I asked just for data recovery but they could fix my water damage iPhone 6 as well. They fixed it and in a timely manner and I am very proud of the work they did. I really have to give my hands off to them and will use them next time anything happens to my iPhone or my familys iPhones.

I was really impressed with the service I received here. The LCD screen on my iPhone SE was very badly broken. Seveda was really honest in explaining what was wrong with it and helpful in deciding which repair to go with. The repair only took about an hour and I only paid $99; for reference everywhere else was quoting around $150. Before I took it in, I couldnt see the picture on 1/4 of my phone, the colors were bleeding, and the images would flicker. Now everything works wonderfully! He even through in a screen protector for being on yelp! There is also a warranty on their work which helped put me at ease when choosing a store. I am hoping that I dont have to come back here again with a broken phone, but I am recommending it to my friends for sure.
