Was not expecting much based on the outside appearance, but sorry grandma, they have the BEST EVER french toast at Keenes. I was just blown away the french toast that came with the Wrangler platter. It was more of battered french toast, but it was fantastic. My kids had burgers and the rolls looked great, not the typical cheap buns that you see elsewhere. I love this place!

My husband and I visited here a month ago and were immediately in love. As soon as you walk in you feel youve just stepped back in time. Just relax and enjoy delicious food and friendly service with a smile. We both had a burger and finished the whole thing! So nice to get a serving that doesnt look like it was created for a family of four. Well definitely return.

Awesome breakfast and lunch food. I specially like the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast. Salsa with real carne asada over the eggs is unique and worth the trip. Highly recommend it. Drop by and you might even see a local celebrity from the Farmworker Movement having breakfast or lunch since the National Chavez Center is just down the road.

Just off Hwy 58, on the road leading to the Tehachapi Loop overlook, we stopped for lunch. My wife and I loved the corn tortillas, my daughter ate more of the chicken fingers than she does in any other restaurant and my son virtually inhaled his quesadilla. My tacos were great. The peanut and chocolate pie for desert was delish!

Be sure to keep a KEEN(e) eye while on highway 58 The sign says "EAT", open till three so dont be late Cowboy ambiance, spurs, buckles n hats if you dare The most wonderful food and service beyond compare Tis the KEENE CAFE, a great place, terrific folks theres no debate.......

Good service for a large group, I wish I knew the waitresss name. We sat outside under the shade tree but the only thing I would recommend is that they place more tables in the shade, but as the sun moved we had enough shade anyway.

Great food and good service. Dont let the exterior of the building fool you, the interior is clean and well maintained. We try to eat here whenever we can.
