DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! - OKAY THE MAIN REASON IM POSTING - Purchased the end of February 2015.. $5200 Not even a month after owning this car .. I was driving maybe 5 miles an hour down a street and all of sudden my engine crashed it slowed down to nothing I immediately started crying... the engine turned back on and ran fine once placed in park.. I found this to be extremely odd and my original mechanic didnt catch it either. I had my oil changed ... transmission everything but my check engine light kept coming on. sure enough this happened once more in March and then didnt happen until today. July 23rd Here I am driving on the freeway during my first week of my new job.. which requires me also to run errands for the company.. my car not only breaks down once but twice.. I had to have my car towed to the auto shop in irvine.. to my surprise they told me my car was tampered with by the people who sold me the car.. rats had gotten to the wiring system to the engine.. instead of fixing it properly they did something the auto shop has never even seen before. they were honestly shocked the car even ran at all with the job they did on it. its going to cost me $1300 effing dollars for a new Honda Engine Wiring harness to be replaced. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RIPPING ME OFF AND SELLING ME A MESSED UP CAR I purchase a 2003 gold honda accord... Upon wanting to test drive it the battery was dead... completely. he had to jump it just to start it.. then as we were driving we heard a bang which was the engine hitting the roof because of a broken car mount on the engine.. said it was an easy fix and cheap if I went through his "buddy" thats all that SEEMED to be wrong with this car.. as soon as I parked at home.. the mirror... just fell off.. like it had been glued on with elmers glue. then I noticed a huge chunk out of the glass and when I opened my compartment in the center the original mirror was in there it was filthy and had some marks on it but came right off.. if this dealership actually cleaned their cars before selling them which mine was disgusting. then they would know they didnt need to take a crow bar or whatever they did to remove the original mirror.. I still cant fix it...

My husband and I came across American Auto because they had advertised the exact car my husband was looking for. After receiving MANY calls from various dealerships I decided we should go with American Auto because of the genuine friendliness and courtesy I received from Allen. The next morning we were at the dealership and Allen assisted us with every question we had (and test drives, too!). Although we were not in the market for two cars we ended up buying a car for my husband and trading in my car for an SUV. Both cars were in pristine conditions and under-mileaged. My Pathfinder Armada had a couple recalls which were taken care of at my local Nissan dealership free of charge. In fact, an acquaintance of ours at Nissan performed an inspection for me and confirmed I had made an outstanding purchase and received an excellent deal from American Auto. I bought a pristine 2010 Cadillac CTS Premium from the boys at American Auto today. The entire sales team was great and a pleasure to work with. The entire transaction was smooth as silk. Allen, the salesman is very knowledgeable, not pushy and went out of his way to work for me with the specific purchase parameters I gave him. Adam, the Service Manager, had his mechanics immediately fix a sensor problem that came on during my test drive the following morning. Mark, the Finance Manager was able to sharpen his pencil and get my interest rate lowered enough to meet my monthly budget. I highly recommend this dealership if you are looking for a good car at a very reasonable price. I found their inventory to have alot of different cars for all kinds of price points. Keep up the good work fellas!

Me and my gf were searching for a jetta 2.0t. American auto had it. Sent a email regarding the car u next day got a reply. We went to look at it and got greeted by moe. He gave us our time alone to look at the car. Car was exactly how the ad said. Nothing hidden. We test drove the car and was smooth. after we talked numbers and deals. They didnt treat us any different because we were young, they were able to approve my gf that is a first time.buyer, but we decide id co sign and get a better rate... shortly after leaving the dealer we notice that the fuel gauge wasnt working. They said to bring it bak the next time.. we did and they fixed it free of charge. Awesome dealership and team. I advise anyone to.make a deal with these people. Last month we were shopping for a 2007 Tundra. When we arrived at the dealership there were many high end and high quality cars. During the purchasing process, the sales person we dealt with created some issues that would have caused us money for repairs. After several calls where the salesperson was non-responsive, I spoke with the General Manager Mark A. who assured me they would handle any concerns and wanted happy customers. Once I presented the paperwork from our local Toyota Dealer, Mark covered our cost of the deductible for the necessary work. This dealership wont let you test drive without a credit check. Car salesman seemed more interested in texting his friends than talking to me. Fine, I just went down the road and bought a car somewhere else. Plenty of cars for sale in SoCal. Id make this place a last stop.
