***DISCLAIMER*** The college is great, the book store is garbage and running a real nice scam...Read before ordering any book from them!!! I needed to rent a book for an online class, website said that I could rent a used book for approx. $43. Great! Place my order and the book arrived the next day. Perfect! Open the package and notice the book looks brand new. Read my receipt and see that I was charged for the rental of a new book at TWICE THE COST of what I had agreed to pay for. I called the book store and spoke with Melody who told me that there is a section on the website that says if a used book is not available, a new book would be sent in lieu of a used, and the difference would be charged. Realizing she had no authority to make a decision, I send an email to her manager asking her to contact me. Today, almost a week later, I get a call back from the manager (Martha or Maria). I explain what happened and she says that the website doesnt reflect their inventory, and asked if I read the part about being charged for new is there are no used. I told her not until after I received the order and saw the changes. I then mention what the website says about not being happy about being charged for a new book when a used was ordered, how I can get a refund. She then asked if I had opened the book yet, which I had because I am one week into my eight week class that I need to take, and a book I need to read for said class. She then tells me that she cannot accept a return for the book because it has been opened... I suggest that Melody should let that bit of information be known to people that call regarding this issue, and she tells me that Melody is not allowed to divulge that information because the manager is the only one that can. I then say that I didnt authorize my card to be charged for any amount other than the cost for the used book. I am told that I received an email letting me know about the final price and any changes to the order. Im pissed now and am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company because I only authorized the $43 charge and not a cent more. Oh and they also never sent my code for an online book I paid for and never returned my calls regarding it. If someone from the store reads this, dont contact me unless you plan on refunding the money owed to me in full. Again, the college is great, but their bookstore is a scam. Moral of the story, when you need a book, use Chegg...

I purchased a textbook and a lab kit at the college bookstore. I dropped the online course that needed these materials the first week of class, on Friday at 4:30pm. I was not expecting to drop this course, which is why I didn’t do it sooner and returned the books. As soon as I dropped the course, I contacted the bookstore with the intent to return the course materials I had purchased. Their return policy states that “A full refund will be given in your original form of payment if textbooks are returned during the first week of classes with original receipt.” The bookstore refused to issue a refund because they did not receive the items during their hours of operation on Friday. I do not live in the area. There is no way I could have sent the textbook and lab kit I purchased in time when I dropped the course the first week. Their return policy does not state that the books need to be returned during hours of operation OR how online purchases are to be returned. Their return policy is terrible and I feel robbed! Save your money and buy your textbooks elsewhere!!!!!!

I hate this place. The older lady that works here is such a pain. They never have books until like the week before class. They didnt have an accounting book I needed until two weeks after class started. Return policy sucks. Just wait until class starts and get the book requirement from the professor and then order ebooks online from amazon, cengage, or which ever publisher. Dont waste your time with the college bookstore.
