Home Depot in Carson is head and shoulders above any of the other locations in the South Bay. For example, I needed some sort of tool but wasnt certain what kind would do the job, so three determined employees in the plumbing department and then hardware each in turn searched and then put me in the hands of someone else until the last one finally found exactly what I would need. By comparison, the customer service in my "home store", Hawthorne, is pathetic, and experiences at the Torrance and Gardena locations have left me less than impressed as well. Too bad I have to drive all the way from Hermosa Beach to Carson to get serious attention from Home Depot staff.

This is the worst Home Depot Ive ever been to. The employees have no idea where anything is and always send you to someone else who does not know. Im trying to find some tie downs for a tent. I walked up to 3 employees talking to each other, asked them if they knew. One of them kept talking to the others while I was trying to ask the question. Not one of them knew what I was talking about or even grasped the idea. I was told "I dont know, check with him." I guess home Depot stopped hiring knowledgeable people that want to help customers find what they need. Ill be going to any other hardware store, but Home Depot now.

Ive called five times in two weeks trying to get a repair on crappy workmanship. Apparently the people Ive been talking too are in Atlanta and have no authority or follow up capabilities, all they can do is pass the service request on to someone here locally. They finally gave me a phone number in Southern California. I called, no answer. I am now stuck having to call a number that only goes to voice mail. This sucks.

The guys working the rental department are not as helpful as they should. This weekend I went to rent a carpet cleaner and was charged in advance $72 for a 24 hour use. I returned it the following day and was then told the deposit is prorated. Im given credit of $14 off of the $50 deposit. It gets real busy, but they should have a numbering system to serve customers and be friendly and explain things.

You can buy most things here on amazon but at a cheaper price point. However you go to HD because you cant wait for the shipping. Or because you want to try out that one thing before committing to the purchase. The staff this particular location have always been nice and helpful.

Bad service and really disrespectful, they want to hurry you up just so they can go home quickly, and they dont know how to do their job, they should work at Mcdonalds. I dont recommend this place at all.
