Eastwind Books has a great collection of books and periodicals about Asia and the Asian American experience, a staff that is both friendly and very knowledgeable about their selection, and things happening in the community. Plus, Eastwind sponsors an incredibly interesting series of events (including book readings by featured authors, community artists, poets, and much more) that will knock your socks off! Ive lived in Chicago for over 30 years now and was originally from the Bay Area, and I make a point of visiting Eastwind Books whenever Im back in Berkeley. There are very few bookstores like this in the country and a visit when youre in the Bay Area is definitely worthwhile.

Nice boutique book shop with a good selection of Asian-American books. I was here for a poetry reading and they were very accommodating to the attendees and the guest speakers. The staff is very open and resourceful as well if you wanted to promote your own books and do readings not just at the store, but around the area as well. Id recommend checking this shop out if youre in the area.

Eastwind has a huge collection of Acupuncture, Acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Great customer service and they let me know that they could get a hold of most TCM books if I needed to order from them!
