I went into this store on February 2nd, 2015. The "Sales Associates" were extremely rude! The Sales Associates acted as if I was the wicked monster in the universe. I asked to see an entire line of appliance for a complete redo. I need refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and trash compactor. The Sales Associates that I had was so rude that I asked if someone else could help me. When another Sales Associates approached me he wanted to know what MY PROBLEM" was. Wow, really? I tell the associate what I want and he ask what my budget is because I was looking at spending close to $50,000 in appliances and it didnt look as if I could afford that!!!! So, I was so taken back by his comment that I took my business some where else. Submitted the receipts to the Manager and Sales Associates to show that I could afford anything that I wanted. It just so happen to be that the "Owner" of the store was there. So, we had a nice short chat. I was assured that I would have no problem if I were to ever come into the store again. I told the Owner" that I would never be back! Oh, where I bought the appliances were from a store in San Pablo off of Appian way. Nice little family owned store who ordered everything that I wanted. Installed the appliances for FREE and also gave me an extra 2 years of warranty on all the appliances as a way of saying "Were sorry you had to deal with Air Port Appliances in Berkeley" I spent a total of $32,675.87. I got all types of rebates from PG&E, EBMUD, and the city that I live in for getting energy star appliances. I saved over $14,675.23 not dealing with Air Port Appliances. I didnt have to down grade the appliances either. Air Port is a "RUDE, RIP OFF, OVER PRICED APPLIANCE STORE"

Airport Appliance-Berkeley Very nice experience with "Zack" our salesperson. The on sale price included a free hood fan, couldnt beat that! The Fulgore Milano 36" Range/Oven (which we pre-shopped for online) is an excellent performer. This range replaced our 50s Merrit OKeefe (400 lbs). The Milano is around 300 lbs. Delivery was on time. I have the capability and tools to slide out and disconnect, clean and remove all of the loose parts of the old range. The crew, straining to lift the old range, got it out and down 6 steps to the street. The delivery teams obligation was to deliver, unpack, install legs on unit, move into the house. Boxed hood fan was brought in as well. Crew place the range in front of the range space in my kitchen. Inspection of all by me, signed the delivery "damage free" papers and crew left. All gas hook up and start up by owner or other qualified persons. The only reason that I wont provide a 5 star rating is that the delivery crew put the overturn leg (1 of 4) in the front side of range bottom instead of one of the rear leg locations. Doubtful this sub-contractor team had read the installation manual for this range. Fortunately, I have strength and skills to safely re-pipe/test the gas connections and move the range into its final place. Once in place clean the oven per installation manual and there is a 2 hr pre-burn for the range to remove any manufacturing oils from all metal parts in the oven. If you do not have the time and skills to perform the above, best to hire a professional! GN Alameda, CA

The sale went fine and was probably one of the easiest sales for the sales person. My dishwasher broke over the holidays. I new which dishwasher I wanted to purchase so I called up Airport Appliance and ordered one over the phone. The problem came when the delivery guys unpacked my new dishwasher and told me the dishwasher was damaged. I got on the phone with Airport Appliance to find out about getting a replacement and the guy that answered the phone was not my sales person and was not interested in helping me. He said he would leave a message with my sales person who would be in a little later. I never heard back from them so I had to call several times to finally get my sales person. Each time I called I felt as if I was being given the run around, and not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience and tell me they would take care of this and expedite my next delivery. I finally cancelled the order and was told I would be emailed a receipt for the refund of the cancelled order when the manager came in the next day. The receipt was not emailed to me, so yet again, I had to contact Airport numerous times to reach the manager. The manager started telling me she hadnt processed the refund because the installation company (a company Airport contracts out) had not returned the dishwasher yet. After my complaints she did go ahead and send the refund -- very poor customer service.

Quality sales assistance in-store. Pedro was great. Installation was courteous and smooth. Crew kept us apprised of delivery progress on assigned date and was on-time. Product arrived damaged. Washer had dents in the front lower panel. Did not obstruct operation. Crew indicated a report would be filed with Airport Appliance and the washer would be swapped out by a damage free unit. No charge extra. Promised a week. Two weeks roll by. No comm from AApp. I call the Berkeley store. Speak with an unnamed associate (didnt introduce himself on the phone--- so I wait to see how long basic courtesy will be ignored-- never got it.) who cannot find record of our purchase (we dropped about $2400 in an hour there---no record under cell phone, home phone or purchasers name). Finally, "Oh the delivery company that delivered your product (how did he know) we dont use anymore." Okey dokey-- now what? "Can you take a picture of it for us?" I hung up. Worst customer service aftercare. I wonder how our extended warranty is doing--- has it been filed? Is there a record of our purchase to honor it? They are convenient and cheap--- but hmmmm....using non-English speaking Mexican work crews for cheap installs then bag them without honoring the service commitment. Nice. Obamas America for ya!

I have never had a worse experience in my entire life with a store of any kind. It was the worst customer experience I have ever had. At first things seemed fine, until the day the washer and dryer were delivered without the stacking kit and the refrigerator came off the truck all banged up. They couldnt reschedule the stacking kit delivery for a week, so the washer and dryer sat in the middle of our kitchen for a week. I was told the stacking kit would be delivered the following week. I took off work for the delivery and it never came. They forgot to put me on the delivery list for the stacking component. Repeatedly, phone calls were not returned. I returned to the store to speak to someone in person, because no one ever returned my calls. While at the store, I received a different opinion about the original refrigerator that was suggested to me by a salesman at the store. I was told by another salesmen that another brand was better and he wouldnt recommend the brand I was told to buy in the first place. In the end, I called Galvin Appliances in Albany, CA who had what I want delivered in three days with no issues. I returned all Airport Appliances. Very happy Galvin Appliances customer. I would NEVER recommend Airport Appliance to anyone.
