For now, until they improve this store, Im going to go to Target. I think they really need to consider renovating this ace because the interiors and exteriors remind me of the type of Wal-Marts youbsee in automobile slums.. its having an effect on the management, employees and shoppers at this store. Sort of dingy with poor lighting on the interior. Elsa didnt want to fulfill the order I had for picking up in accordance with the terms given to me by walmart Corporation. And Jesse lied to me about the registers being closed and treated me like a criminal. I came by to pickup my order at 9:45pm. Email said pickup hours were from 10am to 10pm. I figured Id get there a little earlier so as to not cause a bottleneck before closing. Usually its pretty slow on Saturday night. When I arrived, Elsa (assistant manager) informed me that they close down the pick up at 9pm so that they can get out by 10pm. I told her my email said 10am to 10pm and that I am here well before the store closes. Some back and forth wasted time. I had to demand that she allow me to pickup my order as I drove 45 miles. About 10 minutes was wasted during the exchange. Eventually she ceded due to the terms Ibreceived via email from Walmart Corporation. She had a nice representative by the name of Cindy help me out (Please promote her). Anyway I pickup my order in the back and low and behold, not a single customer in site. There was nobody around. Elsa made a big whoop about nothing. The whole process took about 90 seconds with some walking. Elsa wasted more time fighting with me over why they shouldnt service my pickup as opposed to just letting me pickup my order in accordance with the terms given to me by Walmart Corporation. After I pickup my order, I then started looking at aome cases on my way out. I was then approached by Jesse. It was 10:02 pm. He asked if " there was something he could help me find." I says no not really, just trying to see if there is a case that suits me. He advised me that all the registers were closed. I wondered then, why did he ask me if I needed his help finding something then?? Anyhow I says okay, Im on my way out, and if I dont make it, then at least Ill know what to buy tomorrow. He then ordered me to stop what I was doing. He ordered me to leave the store because of the justification that all the registers were closed. He began to escort me out and low and behold at 10:07 pm, a register was open with 4 customers still in line. I stopped and grimaced at Jesse <=/ "You lied to me about the registers Jesse." I asked him " now how I should reflect this in my review? " His answer was "well, usually the registers are closed at this time." Not even an apology. I suppose that in the ideal sense of it all, I would have just walked in calmly, and picked up my item. And then, on my way out, check out some accessories to see if they may suit me. I would have been out by 10pm had the store operated smoothly. Instead, I got resistance from a manager (Not from Walmart Corporation) in the form of local custom and practice (we close by 9pm) and then escorted by a young stock boy whose initial gestural courtesy towards helping me find something were really his veneers covering an intent to misinform me; treat me like a criminal and then escort me out. Bad boy Jesse.

I love it! There is a ton of stuff. I love the wild bird section.. there is a great selection of bird food and there are different forms of bird food and feeders I havent seen anywhere else... they seem to be a hit too. I am a bird enthusiast and I feed over 100 wild birds in the winter in San Luis Obispo and trust me this Walmart has a great wild bird section. If you are looking for suet cakes this place is a great place to go, there are even suet cakes that dont melt. There are single suet cakes for purchase and there are suet cakes in a variety pack and there are other packs of suet cakes as well. What is great about suet cakes is that they are so inexpensive and they last a long time. What is great is that most suet cakes are only $.99 and the feeders are not expensive at all either. Granted there are Pricier suet cake feeders around but it really isnt necessary unless you want to make your space look really nice. The cheap suet cake feeders work just as well for getting a lot of action from feathered friends. Make sure you know what kind of birds are in your area and that you see near your house or neighborhood and look up what they eat before purchasing a suet cake.

OK at Walmart goes, this is like a Cadillac store. Most Walmarts are giant dirty in the aisles are packed with loads of low income people knocking you over as you come around corners. This is a Royal Grande so the people are very normal and kind and friendly. The aisles are wide enough to get around in and they have lots of what you expect to find at Walmart. They keep the store clean and it does not feel run down at all. There is also a pharmacy here as well as an eye center. I did my glasses prescription at the eye center here 1 year and they were very nice. If you come from a big city and you are thinking about going to Wal-Mart, you will be amazed at what a wonderful experience it is to go to this Walmart!

I came here for my first time in July and had horrible service from the optician on staff. He barely talked to me and made no efforts to make me feel comfortable or welcome. All I needed was a new contact prescription, but he made me feel rushed and didnt take any time and care in my appointment. He left me with contacts that didnt fit my prescription but changed it on the form, and I only later found out that I couldnt read anything he wrote to even translate it when I went to order contacts online. I dont feel as though this appointment was worth my $100+ for poor service and a chicken scratched prescription by someone who didnt want to help me, definitely not coming back.

As much as I hate Wal Mart I do end up grabbing stuff here time to time. The main thing I have learned is dont come on the first or the fifteenth of the month as the hill people come out in droves. The parking situation is pretty good usually and the staff is mostly friendly. I used the ship to store on this most recent visit and it was a very good experience. Their clothing section though is a joke and just stocked with random sizes it seems. Instead of having shirts running from like XS - 2XL they have like a Small, a Medium and like 30 3XLs. Ive gone in a couple times to get some new golf shirts, but they always have a terrible assortments of unusual sizes.
