Cherry Lane has in incredible variety of plants and very knowledgeable staff. Tell them your requirements (e.g. hot pink flowers for a sunny location) theyll point you to what they have, steer you away from what wont work, and guide you through the entire lot. Theyll close if its raining, so call before you head out, and sometimes their selection is thin (only three primroses in stock, no sweet olive shrubs) so impulse shopping is limited. However, Monrovia is a supplier for them, so if you find something on Monrovias website, either you or Cherry Lane can order it and have it delivered asap. Their staff is excellent, they have a nice selection of outdoor furnishings, and a wide variety of plants. Its my first stop when thinking of gardening.

We had travel 45 miles to go to Cherry Lane Nursery. My husband and I had seen the trees we wanted there but had concerns about the 45 mile drive home with the trees in the back of our truck. I had been told on the phone that they "were great packers" and would make sure our plants got home safe. They wrapped a platic bag with packing tape around the tree. Needless to say it did not travel well!!! We stopped at their sister store in Orcutt and they had a tree we wanted. They wrapped the tree in burlap with garden tape and it arrived at our home in great shape!!! Huge differance in how we were treated by these two sister nurseries!!!

Cherry Nursery is my go to place not just for their great healthy plants! They have my back when I call for advice. This now I called due to aphids on my plants! I was just going to mix some aphids bug juice mixed with soap and water. When I went out to spray noticed lady bugs! What to do now? Call Cherry nursery. Spraying could harm my lady bugs. Advice: just let the lady bugs do their thing! Great advice!
