Hailing from Austin, I am well versed in Whole Foods and Whole Foods culture and, Tucson, you got yourselves a fantastic WF here! What makes any Wholes Foods great is the staff and every single staff person I interacted with here put a smile on my face! I was introducing my mom (who lives in Tucson) to the awesome produce section of WF and its many fresh offerings. She was blown away by the quality and was so happy to find really good jicama. She was looking for honey crisp apples, but since they were out of season, the very nice gentlemen stocking salad items came to the rescue and offered to cut us a sample of the Fuji and Pink Lady varieties to see which one we would like as much as the honey crisp. My mom could not believe they did that here...but they do! Turns out the Fujis are not that far off from HCs! From there we went to the vitamin section where my mom was properly informed on the difference between Vitamin Ds and which capsules would be most beneficial to her needs by the very knowledgeable fellow in that section. I had wandered off to the beer section and a really nice guy was telling me all about their local selections and helped me find a limited release local bourbon aged winter warmer. Then, the super cheerful and nice gal at the register was telling my mom about the different dark chocolates they offer because I had picked out a 70% cacao bar. Then there was the very nice guy who was bagging our loot, who must have been good at tetris, because he managed to fit all our stuff in a very space-challenged reusable bag. When we walked out my mom announced they had a new customer and I kind of felt like I had brought a little bit of Austin into my moms Tucsonian residency. Well done, Casas Adobes WF!

This is a bit small for a Whole Foods store so it can be off putting if you have normal size Whole Foods store expectations. That being said, many of my friends and I are very grateful this store is here. It is very important to have a place to buy local and organic foods. The small size is also more "home town" feeling. The produce department is the best in Tucson. There have been some issues with the meat department recently. The new manager of that department seems a bit rough for this otherwise friendly environment. As for one of the comments above regarding, "old people and hippies" I have found the demographic to be much more diverse than that. Overall, I do wish Whole Foods would put the same kind of attention on the very viable Tucson market that it does on Scotsdale, Maui, HI or Boulder, Colorado. No one else in this town speaks Organic, you know... The language of the future.

If your looking for a normal grocery store to run in and buy bread and milk, no whole foods is it. If your not aware of the prices here, you will be bothered. However, the quality of produce, meat, and prepared foods is incomparable to another grocery chain. And actually, there house brand (360?) is actually cheaper on some items than at frys or Safeway. All that being said, this is much more about the experience. And everyone, from the managers down to the wait staff and super chill and friendly. The bar is a go to spot. Where else can you get a craft beer on tap and have access to an entire grocery store of goods to eat? Great outdoor seating. Not that you even need to leave the bar, the menu is great. The smoothies and fresh juices, also awesome. Really adds something to the area that you cant get anywhere else.

The store looks large from the outside, but the selection is not large inside. I went for a can of black beans only to discover they had but two brands: expensive and more expensive. Gluten Free beer? 2 brands. Very few local items. Prices were twice and three times what they are just up the road. Maneuvering in and out of the parking lot is nothing short of a nightmare. It took longer to get out of there than it took to shop. When the cashier asked if I found what I wanted, I told her "no". She did not care to know what I wanted but luckily the bagger did. As I explained my dilemma to him, the cashier rolled her eyes in disgust. Any bets on how long this place loses its novelty? Its not worth the stop.

I am so glad they are here. It is not like California, but it is the best on this side of town for supplements, organic and grass fed beef.I get my tahini, coconut butter, olive oil etc here also. I have been buying meat products here when it was Rays and then Wild Oats and now Whole Foods. Notice the complaint about spoiled meat was from 2007, get real, that comment is no longer valid. I have had serious food snobs eat my beef, chicken and fish dishes and have always gotten rave reviews. I have visited both the sunflower and the other one but really am not impressed. Yes it could be better, and I know they are working at it.

This is a fantastic store. Yes it is expensive, but Whole Foods has been serving Tucson in one form or another for a long time. (It used to be called Wild Oats) It is about the experience. Dont expect to stop in for bread and be out within 5 minutes. Theres far too much great stuff here! Fabulous bakery, wonderful bar, even better deli! Salad bar is always freshly stocked, and if u dont find what u need, just ask. Staff here is always friendly & happy to help out. (The lady stocking the wine section is a bit snobby though....) But overall my experience here is consistently Great!

I really like Whole Foods as a place to have a quick dinner, and their coffee is really good. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I would give five stars on this front. My grievance is with the management that apparently liked to leave this place understaffed. Quite often you have nobody at the counters, or only one single person trying to handle too much traffic. It would be nice if they could dedicate a person to keep the tables clean. By now I have a few times turned around and got my coffee / dinner somewhere else.

I mainly come here for the bar and restaurant as the grocery store area, as you know, is little expensive. They have a multitude of taps on hand, usually something for everyone. The restaurant is good, but a little pricey. Sports on the TVs above the bar. Fish and chips are my favorite dish here. The grocery store has a little of everything, as this is smaller than your usual grocery store. The salad bar has a lot of good choices. The pizza is good, though not spectacular. Overall, nice place but a little pricey.

I ordered my Thanksgiving dinner from this Whole Foods market. I thought that it would be good, but it was GREAT! My husband and I were spending time in our new home that is still void of furniture. That was why we decided to use Whole Foods catering services. They have really put pressure on me to prepare an even better Thanksgiving meal next year when we should be fully moved in. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
