Sacred Art - a horrible experience! My 1st tattoo and last tattoo from there. Right from the start I could tell the guy didnt want to do it because it was a small finger tatoo and minimum cost. He quoted me "$60 or $70." The artist had a past and an excon from his past was hanging out the whole time making him nervous. The artist added no artisitc input to make the idea any good. Each of my 3 simple letters came out different shapes and sizes. My tatoo looked like I had done it myself with a bic pen! I left the guy a tip even though I could tell it wasnt a good tattoo, but I thought maybe it just needed time to heal. A few weeks later I checked my bank account to find that the artist had charged the original amount plus the tip and then the next day ran my cc for the tip again! Fortunately my bank fixed that after the manager did not. I had to return to the shop on multiple occassion and I talked to the manger twice. I also waited 2 hours to see another artist there and he also didnt offer any good solutions to make the tattoo better. The end result was my tatoo didnt get fixed and I basically wasted my money at Sacred Art. The INK HOUSE - Go here instead! seriously. Wow what a place. So happy I found it! Curtis is a real artist! Some of his work is framed on the wall to prove it. He took my shitty bic pen tat and turned it into a work of art. Everything and everyone there is professional. It is a clean and awesome looking. I only paid another $60 plus happily left a $20 tip and I still think I underpaid for what I got. After multiple artists had failed to offer a solution this place made it a better tattoo than ever expected. I cant wait to get more tattoos! Its probably better to call them "works of Art" at The INK HOUSE!

I went in yesterday, 9-12-10, to get my first tattoo done. I spoke with Lenny, who asked me what I wanted done and where. After explaining to him what I wanted, he handed me his portfolio and asked me to look through it while he prepped his station. I looked through his portfolio, and I immediately knew he was the right guy. After he finished with the prep, he came out and asked me if I felt comfortable letting him tattoo me, or if I would prefer to have someone else do it. He did so in an extremely professional manner, and I proceeded to choose him to tattoo me. Lenny was extremely wonderful, in that he thoroughly explained to me sanitization techniques, aftercare techniques, etc. With knowledge that it would be my first tattoo, Lenny told me, in great detail, what it feels like to get a tatto. He then begun to do my tattoo (on my wrist, I might add, which is a typically painful area to get one done) and stopped after a second or two. He explained to me that he did so so that I would be able to get used to the sensation. I was extremely appreciative that he did that. Throughout the remainder of the tattoo, he paused frequently to make sure I was alright. I dont really know what else I can say, except that Lenny is a wonderful artist, and a nice gentleman. He made my first tattoo experience fantastic, and for that I am grateful.

The people that work here are BONE HEADS! I just recently got 2 microdermals, one on each temple, and the first one was done by a very sweet lady, looks amazing! give her props for that, even though her work station wasnt all that sanitary, and then next week I go back to get my other one done, and the guy (either justin or brian, which ever one has a red long skinny beard) did measurements on my face with tools and everything, pierced it not only a whopping half an inch lower than the other one, he caused EXTREME trauma to the area, and he pierced it horizontally!! instead of vertically! and THEN didnt tell me how to take care of it properly! Neither of the people told me to use sea salt soaks, just saline solution, and they both told me I could change the jewelry after 3 weeks (WAY TO EARLY; causing MORE trauma) Its been nearly 5 months and both still havent healed, so I went to a different shop and described all the details ^^^ and she told me she couldnt believe these people had licenses! She told me everything I need to do (exact opposite of these idiots) and the one looks and feels WAY better after 3 days! she took the lower one out for FREE and told me shed re-pierce it for FREE since I went through that. Id give these people NO stars if it were an option. It felt like a factory in there. Wasnt personal at all.

I had gotten my navel and my tragus pierced at this tattoo parlor by brittany. When i walked in, their greeting was mediocre and they didnt seem to care too much about their customers. These two piercings i got are fairly common so i figured that it would be hard to mess up. For my tragus, after they pierced it, it bled a lot. Ive never had a piercing bleed that much. But I also have never had my tragus pierced. So i figured it was normal. Next, for my navel piercing, they didnt even clamp it, she eyed it and then pushed the needle through. If the piercer is confident that they wont screw up, im ok with it. however, this was not the case, the piercing ended up being a little crooked. after all this i was sent on my way. 6 months later, neither of the piercings healed completely. 6 MONTHS! Ive had many piercings in my life to know that there is something wrong. Ive never had a piercing take 6 months to heal. My tragus would keep bleeding and my navel ended up getting infected to the point where it left a grisly scar after the infection went away. eventually i took both piercings out just to let them heal completely. I had cleaned both piercings every day a few times a day for the first 3-4 weeks. I will never go there again. I will not recommend this store to anyone.

I had a friend visiting from out of town who was interested in continuing a sleeve hed started years ago. He called and made an appointment for a Saturday night with "the owner and exclusive artist" of Majestik. When we went to the appointment, "the owner and exclusive artist" and my friend discussed the design concept and how long he wanted to sit for the evening. When my friend told him he wanted to sit for an hour or two, the guy turned on a dime and literally said that he "had better things to do with his time." Clearly not very professional and lacking foresight- (a sleeve is generally done in stages, for both the artist’s sake and the person being tattooed). While waiting for this guy to make up his mind, we looked at his electronic portfolio, his stuff is good, some things better than others, but certainly NOT worthy of his attitude- Paul Booth he is not. The "the owner and exclusive artist" then tried to pawn the work off on some apprentice artist who "had to go and get his rig out of his car"- give me a break! We walked out, thanking them both for wasting our time. Save your money and drive to Phoenix or L.A. for good work, clearly the expectations in Tucson are pretty low.
