Do you just hate to face the sales department at the dealer? Well, here is your answer. Call AAA Car Buying service at an office near you, tell them what you would like to buy, model, make, color any particulars, and inform them that you do NOT want any dealer added extras, no nitrogen in the tires, no VIN etching on the windows, no Scotch Guard on the seats, no extended warrantee, You just want a car, no sitting in the "finance office," you dont want to leave your house. Well, within two or three days I received a call informing me that they had found the car I described, gave me the price (the only thing on this car that was dealer added was tint on the windows, which I would have done anyway), I went to the bank, got the loan, the next day a driver from the dealer drove the car to my house, gave me the keys, he got in the car with his fellow employee of the Toyota dealer, and off they drove with my new car in the driveway. The AAA rep came a couple hours later, and gave me a demo of how things worked, we sat at the kitchen table, signed paperwork, gave him the check, he gave me the temp tag (or rather he put it on the car), we shook hands, and off he went. Simple as that... so, if you are sick and tired of being treated like an idiot at the dealers, this is the answer. The price I paid was on the lower end of the TrueCar price, and there was no pressure, and I mean NO PRESSURE with the sales people trying to upsell something that I dont want and dont need. Ill never darken another dealers door. Also, if you want to do a test drive, theyll bring the car of your choice to the AAA office and you go there, drive it, without the sales person in your ear telling you how wonderful this car is and what can he do to put you in this car TODAY. AAA is paid by the dealer, not by you for their service. Dont know, and dont care what their deal with the dealer, but it is well earned.

Great way to buy a new car. Why put yourself through the wringer of a car dealer as they try and squeeze the last drop out of you? Get the car you want at a great price and be treated with dignity and respect. Picked up our car in a stress free hour. Most time was spent inspecting the vehicle, being shown all the features, and signing the papers. As Carl says, "No shenanigans!"
