I use to love this place. Great selection and reasonable prices for the most part. However, my past few experiences have been less than satisfactory simply due to the argumentative nature rude demeanor of the staff. Tonight I had enough, a simple ID check (which is required by law) turned into a flurry of attitude and back talk. I have no issue with providing my identification on my purchases and am more than willing to corporate with the staff when requested at time of sale. I was buying my own bottle of scotch and four pack of beer when they decided that the sale in front of me of was part a group with me and demanded my ID before the party before me could continue their purchase...RUDE! I eventually was respectable enough to just provide my ID to them to get the line going, but I found this a stupid policy. Did I know the people in front of me? Yes, I happen to be neighbors with them. But they just happened to be having the same idea on a Friday night, beer! And because we exchanged a few words in the back about scotch they assumed that I was to be partaking in their Friday night plans. What makes it worse was that when I called the manager "Jeff" afterwards to express my concerns he puffed up his chest and started verbally beating about store policy and "the law". I can see now where your associates obtain their abrasive and accusatory service standards. Sorry Jeff, your job according to the law is to get the ID of the person making the purchase. Nothing is mentioned about accompanying parties. However, if you suspect unlawful distribution you are encouraged to contact the authorities so they may do their job and investigate the situation. Next time try doing your own research before spewing incorrect information in regards to Title 4 Statues of AZ State Liquor Laws. Take it from me, make the trip to the Tempe location. This store has been going down hill in customer service and friendliness over the last month or so. Getting the proper services with out the CSI style investigation at the register is worth the few bucks in gas it will take you to get there. I am completely disgusted with them and will be doing so from here on myself.

Fraud!! Sale Reps will mislead you, will not explain everything. Was offered a discounted basic IPAD for upgrading an iPhone and adding another device to plan.. I not a very "tech-ey / Phone" person but was stated by the Sales rep that because I was buying another phone and keeping the current plan that he could sell me an IPad at a discounted rate 99.00$ Was not told that the IPAD had its own number, an activation fee and monthly charges... Customer for over 5 years. Now the only thing ATT customer service can do is just apologize (customer service is sorry but thats store that did that, not us), supervisor is sorry ,he states the store employees work commission only and you really have to watch out for them?? after the fact, but Thank you... Still has no power to do anything except apologize offer for me to pay a restocking fee and cancellation fee for something that I all ready purchased and bought a case for?? 45 activation fee, not disclosed.. 10.00 service change, not disclosed. Overall monthly service charges now higher, as the sales rep was only quoting a lower rate, not disclosing the IPAD was cellular and comes with an installment agreement..

Our experience here over multiple days with large volume purchases/returns was perfect. We used Total Wine for our alcohol purchases for our wedding. On our first visit, a very knowledgeable employee (we think Steve?) spent a long time helping us find the best wines, which we then purchased and sampled at home. Most were hits, but the Cab was a dud so we went back and he let us sample in-store before we bought it. When we purchased our bulk beer/wine, the employees wrote down what we wanted and assembled it all for us, plus helped us load it. Day-of all the alcohol was a hit! Bartender loved our selections. After our wedding we had ~7 cases of mixed beer left that were not consumed, which we left to my parents to return. The staff spent a long time sorting through to see what could be returned as six-packs, individual bottles, etc. and took back nearly everything and returned our money. Cant beat quality service like that!!

Had at least three associates walk right by me as I was checking out the Crown Royal selection, not one asked if I needed help or was I finding what I needed. Then at the check at in inquired if they had the bigger bottle in stock. The guy at the checkout looked it up and found they had one, he said it would take him a few minutes to get it. While I waited with my other purchases on the counter another man, white shirt, maybe a manager asked me to move and loaded my goods back into my cart so he could ring up someone from another line. Almost just walked out! The first associate came back shortly after that I made my purchases. But not a happy experience after being asked to move!

The night manager is extremely rude and unprofessional, he needs to grow up and learn some respect and communication skills. Would suggest finding someone new. He needs an attitude adjustment. Im sure he has a horrible and lonely personal life and projects that on his customers throughout his work day. Will definitely be spreading the word. And based on other reviews Im not the only one with this opinion. Maybe if he didnt look like he ate junk food and fast food all day he would be happier, apperance is very important and the man looked like a slob to put it in nice terms. Found better wine for a better price from a gas station.

I bought a keg for our daughters wedding on 10-22-15. We had a bartender and he could only get the keg to pour foam. When the foam went down the beer was somewhat flat and did not taste that great. We took the beer home that night and it was still all foam. When we took the keg back to Total Wine we told them what had happened. They said it was the bartenders fault. We were not asking for a refund. We only thought they might like to Know there was a problem with there beer. The lady that gave us our deposit back was very nice but they manager was rude and should have said he was sorry.

Ive been to Total Wine many times before but my visit today (Tuesday) was disappointing. Many of the beers in the craft beer isle had not been restocked since the weekend. Shelves were bare. Employees in the aisle joking around and in the way of a shopper (I might add). The store with all of the stock and ladders around, was difficult to navigate. The employees are not, nor have they ever been, friendly. I like Total Wine because of their selection but I may choose another store after todays visit.

Great store, great staff. I know exactly zero about wine and I am always well taken care of when I ask questions. The descriptions provided for each individual liquor/beer/wine product are extremely helpful. They save me the headache of guess work when I want to try new things. Lastly, I like the employees favorite tags. Most of them seem to have good taste, especially Raul, hes scholar and a gentleman of fine spirits. Come to this total wine and spend your money. Done.
