12/26/15. 10:30 a.m. Worst experience ever at a restaurant. I am from Tennessee and have traveled 49 states. Kindness, smiles, and hospitality is what normally greet you at a restaurant ( especially in small towns). That is not the case here. I stopped in here last fall when passing through and was treated rudely. I just shrugged that one off. I find myself in Forks again and decided to give this place another try. From the moment I walked in I was barked at, "ON THIS SIDE". When they had a sign stating " "seat yourself at any clean table". So, I walked around and sat at the counter. The same lady took her time and approached with anger on her face and with the rudest tones " starting with coffee" with her back turned. She is slamming every plate, cup, and utensil she touched. In the mean time every person that walks in or is already seated that she knows by name she is cordial with. So, I take from this encounter and my encounter last October that this restaurant does not like the business of people they do not recognize as local. Therefore I hope everyone from out of town will not visit this place. They should not make money off travelers if they do not like them? Again, a case of limited competition in a rural small town with no accountability. So, I asked the lady if she was having a bad day. She stated no, she was just busy and by herself. So, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and ordered Biscuits and Gravy. Yet, the attitude continued with me while the locals walking in were carrying on conversation with her across the restaurant. So, I cancelled the order and asked for coffee to go. They charge $2.25 for this. The guy handed me a cup half full. Unbelievable. I was soft speaking, kind, and patient the entire time. I walk up to the counter to pay for coffee and my waitresses says very rudely, "just take it, just take it" as she walks away with her back to me. Very sad! Very bad service to out of towners. Dont spend your $ here if youre visiting town. I see there is another breakfast cafe across street called ,The Inn Place. I have never been there, but I am about to drive over there now. Correction: after looking at the reviews for other restaurant I decided to just try the coffee stand "MOCHA MOTION". Very great experience, beautiful smile, kind, and great coffee, breakfast sandwich, with muffin. All for $7.50 . Thank you MOCHA Motion!

The waitress was so rude! I ordered an omlette and specifically said ONLY mushrooms, peppers, and onions, and the waitress asked (nicely at this point) if I wanted tomatoes. I said no. When the food came out mine had olives in it and I told her I didnt order it with olives. She huffed at me and told me it was a mix and thats just how it is. When you ask someone if they want a veggie or not youre implying that you can get them one-by-one. Then she took the plate and loudly apoligized to the cook (not me) like it was my fault for them screwing up my order. She brought me a new plate but it had tomatoes in it this time! I told her the first time I asked for no tomatoes and that my order was wrong AGAIN, she muttered "god dammnit" under her breath and bumped me pretty hard with the plate when she snatched it away to make my order a 3rd time. How hard is it to get an order for an omlette right? My friend got french toast that was soggy and flavorless. There is another diner right across the street, why would you be so mean to your customers when your main competittion is visible from the window? Next time I pass through on my way to Olympic National Park I will steer clear of this place.

Horrible place and experience. It wasnt busy at all just a few people there. My fiance and i waited and waited for the waitress to ask us if we wanted a drink. She was too busy talking to her friends that walked in. I was ripped off a little of my food and my fiance had to repeatedly ask for condiments for our meal. She paid more attention to her friends sitting and chatting than she did with her customers. Then she gives us our bill and says theres a service charge if we use our card and she prefers cash. On a handwritten bill hmm... I wonder why? We have our own opinion on that. Needless to say she didnt receive much of a tip. Less than $2 which was what was left over from our total. She didnt deserve that as far as were concerned. Lazy and not big on customer service. No pride with her job. We will not be going back. We drove all the way from Sedro Woolley, WA and was very disappointed. I rated 1 star but wasnt even worth that. We should have read the reviews before going it seems were not the only ones who had lousy service.

Decor was allright, cool Elk but needs a dusting. My waffle was really thin & not crispy at all (hense waffles are not fluffy like pancakes). The amount of strawberry compote with whipped cream on that poor waffle, turned it to a mush long before I had even started to dive into it. Coffee kept comin but that first cup is luke warm, thicker ceramic cups absorb heat. After that it was hit & miss with communications, if I said no more coffee please just 4min ago, umm you should remember my request: it took me awhile to get that cup of joe just how I liked it. I also had the #8, eggs over easy were spot on. Hash Browns were too under cooked for my taste though. The staff were friendly enuf, but dont complain or you get a stink eye look, Lol. This place has a definate wet mold smell in the structure which is strong. I hope next time your energy is more upbeat & youve resolved family worries ♡. Overall I had to give it a 3 bcuz it wasnt that stellar meal or experience for me. Thanks

The absolute worst breakfast Ive ever had at a restaurant. Went on a Sunday, but there was no wait and plenty of open spaces. Despite this, just getting our order taken took about 20 minutes. I ordered a plate of pancakes, and the guests with me kept their orders simple, as well. It took, and I timed it, 1 hour and 10 minutes to get our food. Breakfast turned to lunch in the time we waited. No reason, no apology. And the best part? An order of pancakes, the safest play someone can make on the menu, were nasty. They were cold and the butter pat had thoroughly melted through the now-pasty pancakes. To top it off, I had to wait for the waitress to come by again just to get syrup. I came here with low expectations and they still managed to disappoint me. If you find yourself in Forks, for the love of God do not go here. Hightail it back home no matter how hungry you are. Youll thank me for it.

Perfectly seasoned and not greasy! Went this morning while passing through and the food here was spectacular! My dad and I love good home style diners and the breakfast here was classic. We arent huge fans of pancakes, but we tried one, and oh my gosh, if I lived here, I would eat their pancakes every day. They were so fluffy and served with piping hot syrup and salted butter. Perfect sweet/salty balance. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned and not greasy at all! Im not sure why others have left bad or mediocre reviews. Maybe they had a different cook, but this food was awesome! The seats were very run-down but not a big deal when the food is so good. My dad said it is the best breakfast he has had in a long time.
