I am providing a review of the actual products that I had an experience. The donuts have some unusual combinations of toppings and what not, but they are still tasty and definitely worth trying out if you like trying new things. Some are super-sweet if you like that sort of thing, others are a little bland, but do well in coffee. For the people that say the donuts are dry, thats probably due to the owner not doing as much business as he used to because of all the bigoted reviews against him. These donuts are not much that much better than the store-bought kind, but do offer a wider variety of flavors which cannot be found just anywhere. I recommend trying a sampler selection of what sounds good and a couple that youre unsure about to develop a better opinion of how they taste for your first time. Im sure youll find several which you like rather than dislike. It seems that all the bad reviews here were from people which commented on the owners personal beliefs rather than on his actual products and some didnt really elaborate why they gave a bad review therefore I dismissed it since they didnt state what their testimonial and rating was actually based on. They refer to him as a bigot, but thinking about it, I realize theyre just as bigoted as they say he is. If they cant accept his personal opinions, I guess theyre no different than him. But honestly, I no nothing about his personal views since I dont personally know him, but thats probably why his products/business got a great review by me. Granted, in this great country we have free speech, so far, and he has a right just as anyone else to have an opinion and speak his mind, but on the business side of things hed to more business if he refrained from publically mentioning his views because most people are just plain ignorant in general and therefore dont know any better. Anyways, the owner seems to be a good guy that just wants to have a business of his own, and a better society than were currently in from what I hear about him. If more people took a chance at a small-business like he did, wed probably help stimulate the economy some.

beyond unoriginal. so by now some people are aware of the owners views on people who are not white or hetero, etc., which renders the name of his shop and the tag line entirely silly and gimmicky. that is enough to keep me from a place i actually like. but this place will be easy to stay away from. nothing terribly original about the donuts, especially for the price. they tend toward dry, bland and some are overly sweet. in fact, the concoctions have been done before elsewhere, and far better (ie, not from a mix ... yes, peace, love & little donuts uses a mix. and for the attitude you get from the staff--which ranges from luke warm to out-and-out rude--id expect something spectacular to compensate). if you want a sweet treat -and- an experience that truly is in the spirit of the strip, theres enrico biscotti, raymonds, colangelos; merchants in pgh public market like sustenance bakery and sugar mama cakes, as well as many many others. they will not only offer delish, truly artisan treats but they contribute to the community of the strip and pittsburgh.

Im not sure why so many people are writing reviews about the owner instead of the quality of food/service. Seems to me you shouldnt use a business review site to tell everyone you hate a person... That being said, I went here with some of my coworkers not too long ago, and though there was only one worker, he was very polite and informative about the business and what they do and how they do it. For instance: they donate all of the extra donuts at the end of the evening so that nothing goes to waste and youre always getting very fresh baked goods, and they work kinda like a Cold Stone Creamery: you can order one of the creations from their menu, or you can mix and match all the different toppings. As for the donuts themselves, they were good. I had a raspberry glaze with chocolate chips and raspberry drizzle, a chocolate covered pretzel one, and an oreo cheesecake one. All delicious. They are a little pricey, but not too overpriced. Just high enough where I dont buy them every day for breakfast.

I dont know what to say here. The donuts are amazing and tender and delicious and I didnt mind the price at all. What I did mind was finding out that the owner hates me, even though hes never met me. Im transgendered and hes been extremely vocal about how he feels about gays, liberals, and more. I dont understand why someone would make a business that specifically draws in a crowd (any crowd) that they hate. Its like a neo-nazi opening up a Jewish deli in Squirrel Hill. It makes me sad, because Id love to shop here regularly, but I cant support someone that hates me or any other minority. Its my money and Ill spend my "pink dollars" elsewhere for now. Still, I really hope that someday the owner realizes that Im a good person and deserve respect even though he doesnt agree with my views, because the world could do with a little less hared and a little more donuts.

Its true, I mean you cant have a business model that is directed to the hippie culture and promoting peace and love yet spewing that you have personal hatred towards groups based on their sexual orientation or even political affiliation. If this was a major corporation that be something different if the CEO had different views or if the president did as the company is not owned by just that individual, but this is a small business with a misleading sales strategy. To incorporate Peace, Love into its slogan and the idea of an Inner Hippie does not reflect the owners own attitudes. If it was just called Little Donuts or etc, that would be different.

Best doughnuts, hands down!!! Other chain doughnut places have ok doughnuts, but if you want something different that youve never had, this is where you need to go! Not sure why anyone would say overpriced... They are better than paying $3 for a fancy cupcake thats all frosting. Youre are getting a great doughnut with the perfect amount of toppings. Nothing better... You owe it to yourself to at least try one... If you dont like it fine, they arent for everyone. Anyway, more for me!!!

Donuts arent great. Too crunchy and the coconut donut was the worst, it made me want to puke! Tried them for the first time and wont be a returning customer! Dunkin Donuts is the best place to go for donuts in our opinion! Maple bacon was the only good donut! The Boston Cream one wasnt even like a Boston cream donut! Very disappointed in this donut shop! Will never go back!

Their little donuts are delicious and fresh, perfect for breakfast, a little snack, or to take a box home for the family. Peace, Love and Little Donuts has a lot of neat flavor combinations. We like take our kids in to pick a few kinds to eat while we walk around the Strip. Weve always had a great experience with the employees and have been there 3-4 times.

Pros: I liked the place, the owner was very nice, the donuts were so amazing. Cons: For the size they were a bit small and over priced, they only take cash at this point, it is kinda out of the way Overall I wanted to give this place a higher rating and I would encourage you you go and try the place out but it was average.
